Chapter 155: He’s Flirting With Aurora?

Once everyone stopped paying attention to Alex as he began to eat in peace and converse with the others, Aurora took out her cell phone and typed a quick text to him.

"What are you doing, Alex? You nearly gave me a heart attack!"

After Aurora sent the text, she continued to enjoy her dessert, a caramel pudding, while listening to their conversation.

However, she heard Alex’s voice near her ear not long after.

"I’m sorry for surprising you. I wanted us to have lunch together, but Patrick said you’d already gone to the cafeteria. So, I had no choice but to follow you here." Alex whispered, just for Aurora’s ears to catch his words.

Aurora was speechless.

She thought he had come for a random inspection in some parts of this Stardust Tower, like he usually does with Jimmy.

Before Aurora could respond, she felt his hand rest gently on her back, prompting her to suddenly turn and give him a slight glare.

Alex simply smiled and continued chatting with the others, not paying much attention to her protest.

Max’s voice startled Aurora again when she gave up protesting Alex with her gaze.

"Aurora, do you want me to take a picture of you and Mr. Graystone together?"

Aurora was speechless that Max would say that. Even Josh and David were surprised he dared to say it directly before Alex.

"Take a picture with me?" Alex asked calmly, a smile gradually emerging on his lips.

Max explained seriously, "Yes, sir. Aurora actually has a crush on you. She applied for the internship at Stardust Tech just because she wanted to meet you."

Aurora, "...."

She truly wished to gag Max with a slipper to keep him quiet.

’Geez, Max! When did you turn into such a chatterbox? Can you return to being your usual self—a man of few words?’ Aurora could only express her frustration internally. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

Although she had already told Alex about it, she still felt embarrassed when Max revealed her like that in front of everyone, including Jimmy.

"Really?" Alex asked, casting a questioning look at Aurora next to him.

Of course, Aurora chose to ignore him, aware that he was now teasing her.

"Yes, sir..." Max responded calmly, then looked at David as if seeking his support and confirmation, "Right, David?"

David instantly laughed as he gazed at Alex. "Hahaha, yes, what Max said is true...Aurora has an undeniably huge crush on you, sir."

Aurora, "..."

Feeling frustrated with David and Max, she prays for God to shower them with heavenly lightning.

’Oh boy, these two! Can’t they talk about something else for a change?’

Though Aurora struggled to maintain her composure, she managed to respond to them with a smile and a calm demeanor.

At that moment, Alex joined them as well.

"Wow, I’m honored that Aurora has a crush on me," Alex said with a smile as he looked at her. "It’s completely fine if you’d like to take a picture with me, Aurora," he added, his hand resting behind her and giving her a gentle pat to uplift her mood.

Aurora gave an inward sigh before smiling at him. "Thank you, sir. You are so kind to grant me the chance..." She felt compelled to go along with the act.

In a delightful twist, Max finally took their picture together!

Aurora truly felt defeated! She hoped Alex would leave immediately, as she was starting to lose control of herself soon.

She didn’t want to scold him in front of the others—it was the last thing she would choose to do because if that happened, everyone in the cafeteria would instantly recognize her as Alex’s seventh wife.

Fortunately, Alex bid farewell to the others, but before departing, he leaned in and whispered to her once more.

"Call me when you’re back in your office." He then promptly stood up and exited the cafeteria. His departure again made the atmosphere noisy.

Aurora could only shake her head slowly as she watched the female employees trying to catch Alex’s attention.

She was relieved that no one would suspect her. However, her relief was short-lived when Max asked a question.

"Aurora, what did Mr. Graystone tell you?"

She turned to see him calmly while trying to find a proper answer to his question without revealing too much.

"Ah, nothing important. He just encouraged me to do my best on my internship."

Max narrowed his eyes on her.

"Huh? That’s it? Do you think I will believe that?"

Aurora, "..."

"Regardless of your beliefs, that’s not my concern," Aurora replies, smiling as she stands up from her chair.

She had already finished her dessert and needed to return to her office to call Alex. She needed to give him a piece of her mind for taking such risks.

Before leaving, Aurora reminded Max, "Max, don’t forget to send me the picture you took. And please delete it from your phone. Don’t try to keep it because I will find out if you do that..."

Josh followed her immediately, leaving Max and David stunned as they watched them go.

"David, did you see it? Why does Aurora appear so much different now?"

Max asked. His eyes remained on Aurora and Josh until their backs disappeared before he turned to David.

"Yeah, she’s really changed." David understands the reason for Aurora’s transformation; she is now married, and her husband is Alexander Graystone.

"Let’s go!" David said as he stood up.

Max nodded while standing up from his seat, following David.

"And did you notice? Mr. Graystone appears to be flirting with Aurora. I can see how he looks at her..." Max said as they made their way to the elevator.

David placed his hand on Max’s shoulder, chuckling as he observed the confused Max.

"Aurora, too... She appears confident, even annoyed, rather than timid in his presence. It feels as though this isn’t their first encounter..." Suddenly, Max’s words paused as a thought crossed his mind.

Max suddenly stopped, causing David to stop as well and face him.

"David, you won’t believe what I think now."

"What is it?"

"Aurora’s husband... Alexander Graystone?" Max said.

David was rendered speechless. He couldn’t believe this brilliant Max would figure it out this fast.

"Hey, don’t spread rumors, or you could get into trouble."

Max was utterly shocked. "So, is it true?"

"What the heck, Max. I didn’t say yes... I just said, don’t say something like that."

David helplessly corrected him, and he hurriedly left toward the elevator, worried he might give Max an answer.
