Chapter 154: Alex, Try To Reveal Our Relationship!?

Max turned to see the others, but they all seemed uninterested. He frowned as he settled into his seat.

However, Max didn’t pick up his lunch; instead, he looked back at them in return.

"Aren’t you all interested in photographing our big boss? Oh, right, Aurora..." Max gazed fixedly at Aurora, pausing for a smile.

"I recall you saying you had a crush on him. This is your chance to ask for a photo; he might agree to give you one pose," Max suggested.

"Cough! Cough!" Aurora nearly choked upon hearing Max’s words. She felt her cheeks flush with warmth, feeling a bit embarrassed that Max brought it up again.

"I don’t need to ask for Alex’s picture, alright! He’s my husband!" A surge of emotion urged her to share this information with Max, yet she couldn’t reveal it.

Josh panicked when he saw Aurora’s face grow red. He offered her water and tried to help her calm down.

"Drink this... slowly..." Still, Josh’s following words only worsened Aurora’s embarrassment.

"Aurora, do you really want to take a picture with Mr. Graystone? I can ask him to—" Josh’s teasing tone suddenly faded when he caught her intense glare. Sorry, I’m kidding..." He smiled and brushed it off.

Meanwhile, David seemed eager to continue teasing Aurora playfully.

"Aurora, should I invite Mr. Graystone to our table?" David suppressed a laugh as he glanced at Aurora, who was shooting daggers at him with her eyes.

Aurora was left speechless as she looked at David and Josh. She couldn’t believe these two were teasing her in this situation.

She breathed deeply and silently scolded Alex in her thoughts.

’Alex, what are you doing here? Are you trying to reveal our relationship?’ Aurora could only hope Alex would genuinely visit this floor with Jimmy; he didn’t intend to surprise her.

Just thinking about Alex approaching their table caused her stomach to tighten, aware that everyone would be staring at them. They might even record it.

She took a deep breath and said with a gentle smile, "David, Josh, stop talking nonsense. Just keep eating! Stop chatting..." After that, she continued to enjoy her Fettuccine Alfredo.

However, Aurora’s hopes faded as soon as Alex and Jimmy came over. They didn’t merely walk toward the table; it appeared they intended to join them for lunch as well.

Several employees not far from Aurora’s table were instantly shocked.

They began gossiping excitedly, whispering among themselves, thrilled to see Alex walking close to them, almost like he was blending and mingling with them.

"Shuusshh. Look, Mr. Graystone is heading to the people at the corner table. Who are they? Does he know them?" One of the females whispered to her friends. She was so envious, staring at Aurora’s table.

"Why didn’t we sit there earlier? Oh dear, it seems luck hasn’t been on our side!" another female remarked with a sense of regret.

"You’re absolutely right! Our handsome CEO might have come to our table if we had sat there." She giggled.

"He is so freaking handsome! This is my first time seeing him this close," another woman responded as she pulled out her cell phone and snapped as many pictures as possible.

Two of her friends decided to do the same.

They intended to share it on social media to show off and boast about their opportunity to meet Alexander Graystone.

However, before they could act, a robust man dressed in black approached them.

"Ladies, you must delete every photo you took. You can’t keep Mr. Graystone’s picture, much less share it on social media. I believe you all still remember the company rule?" the man asked coldly.

Four girls nodded simultaneously.

They knew it was forbidden to post anything that happened in the office, particularly anything related to their key management personnel, especially their CEO.

"Good, if you understand!" the man said and left.

...

Meanwhile, at Aurora’s table.

Aurora was speechless as she gazed at Alex and Jimmy standing by their table with trays of food in their hands.

This prompted Josh and the others to warmly welcome and gesture for them to take their seats.

She wished to ignore them, but found it impossible when Alex spoke to her casually.

"Excuse me... may I sit here?" Alex inquired, his lips curling into a warm smile.

Aurora looked up to meet his eyes. After scolding him with her gaze, she nodded slightly. "Sure, Mr. Graystone..."

"Thank you, Miss...?" Alex pretended to ask her name, but Aurora was too busy scolding him in her mind, so she didn’t hear his question.

She lowered her gaze, avoiding eye contact with him, and continued to eat.

"Aurora Spencer, she’s called Aurora," Josh said. When he saw Aurora, he appeared hesitant to respond.

Aurora was speechless. She shot a sharp glare at Josh before turning to Alex again.

’Alex? Are you trying to expose us? Are you looking to go public now?’ she questioned him with her stare.

However, Alex ignored her angry gaze. Instead, he began eating while conversing with David and Max, who sat opposite them.

It seemed that Alex was truly making an effort to engage in a conversation with Max, subtly investigating him.

Aurora, who overheard their conversation, suppressed her laughter at how hilarious it was that Alex pretended not to know about Max.

Later, she stopped paying attention to Alex and shifted her focus to Jimmy and Josh. She noticed they were also trying to suppress a smile.

When Aurora thought Alex would not ask her anything, as she had already made a clear sign for him not to expose their relationship, he suddenly said, "Miss Aurora, you don’t like the food here?"

She smiled faintly at him before answering, "Sir, you’re wrong. Well, I like it..."

"But, you still have half..." Alex pointed to her plate.

"It’s because you came and ruined my mood, Alex." Aurora wished she could express this, but she held back.

She could sense Max’s look of confusion directed at her. He might be puzzled about why she was so daring with Alex.

"I feel nervous sitting beside you, sir," Aurora said, offering a timid smile before resuming her lunch.
