The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband-Chapter 371: Cuddle through the night
Chapter 371: Cuddle through the night
Jessica felt no man could be loyal to one woman. Cedric could not be that loyal no matter how beautiful Abrielle was. Even her father had some secret mistresses they never spoke about.
Her jaw clenched.

Back inside the dimly lit room illuminated by candles and the fireplace. It wasn’t too bright inside; the physician had requested that the room be kept this way.
Abrielle sat on the bed, her eyes staring at the door as she waited for Cedric to enter. Her head was still cloudy but she wasn’t delirious.
Her skin was still burning, her throat very parched and she forced herself out of bed to ask for water. Cedric came in, his gold eyes shone in the dark corners of the room, close to the door where he stood.
He could sense she was still feeling unwell. Cedric looked exhausted, he hoped they made it past the night. He walked towards the bedside where a ceramic water jug was kept
He wondered if she was too sick to have realised. He poured her a glass of water, and she accepted. "Drink carefully so you do not choke." He said.
Cedric placed his palm on her forehead and sighed for the hundredth time. She was burning up badly.
Abrielle gulped down the water like she was thirsty for ages and eventually started choking. Cedric took the glass from her hand first before he started to pat her back
Her cough even sounded cute, at least there was nothing wrong with it. "Try to relax," he said calmly, his palm still rubbing her back until she stopped coughing.
"Do you need anything?" He paid attention to her slightest action.
"My head is still spinning and it is hot." She explained before lying on the bed
Cedric remembered what the physician said about heat poisoning; he should try to get her temperature to drop. The wet rags were not working obviously.
"Is it that bad?" She nodded, Cedric sat beside her and urged her to sit up. She was very weak, she could barely sit for long.
Cedric helped her undress. Abrielle was too obedient; it felt like the fever made her more timid.
The cool breeze from the window made her shudder and shiver as it touched her hot skin. The curtains flapped lightly, it was a windy night.
Cedric soon stripped after her, and they were both left in their natural form. This was all that could come to his mind; he dared not mention the option of calling Callista, knowing Abrielle was not going to like it one bit.
Cedric pulled her in his arms, her blazing skin like a burning inferno was hugged by his cold body. He normally was warm but tonight he felt cold compared to her.
The sparks between them tried to cushion the heat as best they could the entire night. Abrielle eventually fell asleep, but Cedric didn’t get a wink of sleep the entire night.
Cedric never knew that the first time in his life he was going to feel the heat of hell was from hugging his wife. She was very hot and grew hotter by the second.
All the lights went off. He turned them off since it was increasing the room temperature. He wanted the room as cool as possible.
Morning soon arrived and the heat from hell left with the night.
Abrielle felt like her entire body was sore and crushed. She was extremely dehydrated and thirsty.
Her eyes fluttered open, her heart almost jumping out of her chest to see a naked Cedric by her side first thing in the morning.
She was resting her head on his arm cuddled up to him while he aimlessly stared at the ceiling. Her memories from the last day were hazy, but she remembered having a bad fever.
Cedric sensed the shift in her breathing and knew she was awake. Her fever had stopped a few hours ago close to dawn. He could finally relax but sleep was far away from him.
He glanced at her, a soft smile on his face when he saw those clear blue eyes staring back at him. Her hair was scattered all over the mattress, spiralling around him, with some strands even on him.
"Good morning, Abrielle, after last night, I think I should start calling you fire." He teased her.
"I am Sorry for obstructing the journey when there is an emergency." Abrielle apologised, and Cedric rested on his side. Her head was still on her arm. He reached for her face, his fingers brushing off the stray strands of hair on her face.
"What matters is that you are better now. The entire reason I travelled this far was to find you, it isn’t your fault you fell sick on the way." Cedric said before placing a soft kiss on her forehead. His lips were soft, leaving subtle sparks.
He pulled her into a hug just to enjoy this short moment. He knew as soon as he arrived in Vitalis they would part once more.
"Unfortunately we need to get back on the journey. The ship is already waiting. How are you feeling?"
Abrielle understood clearly the situation they were in, even if her heart was made of stone it fluttered a bit knowing what he was sacrificing for accompanying her back and not going straight to battle
He was meant to be the evil big bad villain but so far she would describe him as a psycho husband. He was caring but still a psycho.
She might be falling sooner than she thought.
"My entire body hurts."
Later that morning, the physician came to check Abrielle’s condition and offer some medication. Cedric didn’t bother having breakfast with the count and left as soon as Abrielle was ready to leave. He would rather watch Abrielle eat her breakfast, it was fulfilling to watch
She asked him why he wasn’t eating and he simply answered he wasn’t hungry.
Count Fredrick never had the moment he wanted. Cedric did extend his gratitude, Fredrick’s help didn’t go without reward, the reward being Fredrick could keep his title after he attempted to use his daughter to seduce Cedric, which the count was grateful for.
He knew what Cedric was capable of. He might just be a prince, but his influence was strong in the court; worse, Pius was close to Blackthorn. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Cedric was the master of blackmailing. He should not have stepped on the prince’s toes.
