The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 609: The mark on her body
Chapter 609: The mark on her body
"Are you awake, my love?" Sebastian walked inside the room in hopes of seeing his wife’s innocent eyes blinking back at him, but to his disappointment, she was still sleeping.
He sighed and walked to the bed, gently removing her hair from her face and kissing her forehead.
"Wake up soon. I don’t feel happy without you," Sebastian cooed in her ears, and as soon as he did that, he felt his wife’s heartbeat increase slightly.
It meant she was gaining consciousness, and a smile spread on his lips.
He knew she needed to rest, but he wanted to act selfishly once in a while and have her lock her hands around his neck while telling him sweet nothings to calm his raging heart.
"Mmm," Elliana groaned in displeasure before she twisted in her sleep, almost taking down Sebastian with herself as she wrapped her legs around his body, making him chuckle.
She was seriously something.
He looked at his girl with a content expression. She was still the same. He remembered the first time they slept together, and she had nearly thrown herself onto him despite knowing he was her enemy, although married.
Now that he thought about it, weren’t they always comfortable in each other’s embrace as if made for each other?
And why the hell was he having such mushy thoughts? Sebastian scowled as he looked at the file on the table at some distance. He clearly remembered he was here to take the file and not get lost in his wife’s thoughts, especially not trapped between her legs.
Sebastian smiled at the lewd thoughts that surfaced in his mind at the last sentence, his manhood twitching slightly at the mere thought.
He was about to ask her to give him some space so he could leave when he felt someone knocking on the door.
He used his mind link and asked his guards.
"Who is it?" He asked.
"Sir, it’s me. You asked us to join you in the meeting, but didn’t arrive. I wanted to know if the meeting would still take place," Lucas said, and Sebastian looked at his kitten, who was rubbing her face on his chest lovingly.
"It’s only fair that I go to the meeting," Sebastian said those words to himself more than his subordinate.
"Yes, sir. Should I go and wait in the meeting room?" Lucas asked, and Sebastian hummed before gently pulling her up.
"Princess, I got to attend something. I will let you sleep for some more time," Sebastian turned to leave, but Elliana held his hand.
"Don’t go. Stay with me," She whispered, a hint of spoiled attitude in her voice, and he smirked.
"Baby, I came here to take care of you. If I don’t go, I won’t let you sleep and rather choose to -"
"You can go. Close the door," Ellow said without any hesitation.
Sebastian - "..." Why does this make him feel so awful? Was sleep more precious to her than him? He pouted.
Elliana, who received silence from the other side, opened one eye slowly to peek at her man, who was standing there with a wronged expression, and a smile appeared on her face.
"I am still weak, Mr. Marino. Be good," She whispered, making Sebastian scowl even more before he gritted his teeth.
She was clearly teasing him.
"I will ask someone to send you some herbal drinks. You better replenish your energy after teasing me like this," Sebastian picked up the file from the table before he walked to her and kissed her lips softly.
"Sleep a bit more," he caressed her hair before leaving the room.
Elliana sighed, the smile on her face immediately dropping once the door closed.
She lifted her top softly and looked at her abdomen, which had an ugly yellowish mark that almost covered half of her stomach, and she bit her bottom lip. If Mr. Marino had seen this mark, he would’ve surely gotten worried.
Elliana immediately held her pendant. She was about to call Nathaniel when she remembered the mark on her body was a little closer to her chest, and it wouldn’t be appropriate.
Her mother was already busy collecting Magna for her and probably spending some time with her father. She didn’t want to call them and worry them even more than they already were.
With no name appearing in her mind, her fingers on the phone froze for a second before she called one person who could help her.
After two rings, she finally picked up the call. freewebnσvel.cѳm
"Yes, Princess," She said, and Elliana rolled her eyes.
"Something happened today. Would you be able to come to the Black Skull Palace to talk about it? I can’t tell you about everything over the call," Elliana said.
"I don’t want to waste my energy on that. Can you use your powers to summon me?" She asked, and Elliana sighed, pressing her lips into a thin line.
"Hmm, let me see what I can do," Elliana ended the call.
She was still weak and recuperating. Using her Magna right now would only hurt her in the end. With a sigh, she called Nathaniel and told him to bring that woman into her room since she needed to discuss something, and the man immediately agreed.
After five minutes, Nathaniel appeared with the woman, making her sigh.
"Have you told her everything?" Elliana looked at Nathaniel, who nodded.
"He told me what he saw. I want to know what exactly happened to you," Misha said, and Elliana walked to her balcony before closing the door.
She told Misha everything. Starting from what happened to Mr. Marino and how she ended up in the forest and as soon as she reached there, what happened, ending her story by noticing the ugly yellow mark on her body.
"Can you show me the mark?" Misha asked, and Elliana looked at Nathaniel, who nodded and walked out of the room in understanding.
"Here," Elliana lifted her top, and as soon as Misha saw the mark, her expression turned ugly.
"Just how much pain did you go through to have this kind of mark?" Misha asked, tears brimming her eyes as she looked at the mark that must’ve caused loads of pain to the girl.
"Stop looking at me like I am some kind of lost case. Don’t pity me," Elliana looked away to control her emotions.
"But... You do realize this is not a good sign, right? This only means..." Misha choked on her own words.
