The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 608: She got triggered
Chapter 608: She got triggered
Chapter-608
The increasing smell of human blood made Elliana almost want to vomit her guys out as her abdomen churned painfully and cold sweat beads appeared on her forehead.
"J-Jasmine," Elliana tried to call out to her wolf friend so she could help her get away from this awful smell while the others fought the humans who had been holding them here.
She wanted to see her husband fight because he looked really handsome while doing so, but the more his beast was taking over and going on a killing rampage, the more painful it was becoming for her.
Elliana looked at her hands. Her fingers were starting to tremble with pain, and she took a shaky breath.
’Circe, till when can we hold up?’ Elliana asked.
’I don’t think for long. I am trying my best to keep the powers behind us,’ Circe said, and Elliana could literally picture all those white rope-like things that Circe had created around her mind space to protect it from being affected by the sirens.
"I know you are trying hard. But it’s not in your hands anymore. If I don’t do anything now, I will die at this rate. If the siren powers took over me prematurely, they would kill us, right?" Elliana asked, her heart skipping a beat at the mere thought as she looked at her husband, who was almost like a killing machine.
She placed her hand on her knees to stand from her place, and she did stand, but immediately after a couple of seconds, as soon as she took a step, her body wobbled, and she was about to fall back on the ground when two strong arms kept her stable.
Elliana blinked her eyes, barely opening them as she looked at the person holding her, and a soft smile appeared on her lips.
"Brother," She whispered.
Nathaniel pressed his lips into a thin line.
He could see that something was making her weaker with each passing second, but his limited knowledge about the siren’s powers was enabling him to find out what the actual cause was.
Was it something inside her body that he needed to extort using his magic? Or was it something else?
"Elliana, what’s wrong? Are you in pain somewhere? Did you get hurt?" Nathaniel asked in a concerned voice, his words catching the attention of the beast fighting in the middle of the field.
Sebastian’s beast immediately snapped his head towards where Elliana was, and seeing her visibly weak and pale face, his heart thumped.
He coveted the distance of 100m in a second using his vampire speed and almost snatched Elliana from Nathaniel’s hands.
"Princess, what’s wrong?" Sebastian asked, looking around at everyone with a suspicious gaze.
Jasmine stepped ahead and gulped.
"Vampire King, our boss has been like this from the moment she entered the forest. There was some kind of weird smell that made her cough blood and unable to move. I couldn’t identify what exactly that thing was, but one of the ingredients was surely human blood," Jasmine rushed to the site, and Sebastian understood why Elliana was in pain.
"Will you be -" Sebastian was about to ask Stephano if he could handle the things here since most of the humans were either dead or fled the area, but before he could complete his sentence, they saw a few people appear out of the blue.
Sebastian’s hands tightened on Elliana’s body when he saw the unfamiliar faces of the witches.
However, there was one face among all those unfamiliar witches that looked strangely familiar.
Wasn’t that girl looking like -?
"King Sebastian, you take Elliana away. We will wrap up the things here," the same witch said, and Sebastian looked at Nathaniel, who looked like he had the same thoughts as him.
"Who are you?" Sebastian asked.
Since they could see that the weapons used by these humans were laced with witches Magna, how could they trust just any witch? What if this cult of witches was on the side of humans, and once they left, they would save them all and lead those humans into attacking them once again?
"I understand your concern, King Sebastian. But rest assured, we are on your side. We are a group of witches who have been tortured by Witch Azrael. And since you guys captured her, you have done us a great favour. Our introduction is a bit complicated. And we are sure Princess Elliana’s life is more important than an introduction," the witch said, and Sebastian looked at his wife, whose lips were chapped and parted as if someone was sucking the life out of her.
Elliana, who heard all this, remembered hearing this voice somewhere and with great difficulty, she opened her eyes, pushing Sebastian’s hand away slightly.
"W-who needs your help?" Elliana asked before she closed her eyes and collected her magna.
How could she let this girl act like she wanted to help them when she was equally helping Azrael that day? Tortured by her? What a joke!
"Step away, you guys," Nathaniel warned when he realized what Elliana was doing.
Everyone immediately started running away at Nathaniel’s warning, everyone apart from Sebastian, who was immune to a witch’s attack.
"Zerstören," Elliana screamed with all the energy she had inside her, as her eyes turned pitch black before she raised her hands in the air, her body rising in the air as she opened her palms towards where the remaining humans and their dead bodies were.
Boom!
A loud blasting sound echoed in the environment before a light, enough to blind everyone, shone brightly, and the entire forest area in front of them up to 300m was wiped clean, a large hollow ditch appearing there.
"The hell," Stephano was the first to speak as he looked at the monstrous destruction.
The crack was so deep that it almost looked like it was caused by a meteor hitting the earth’s surface.
Sebastian, who hadn’t expected this kind of destruction from his wife’s side that almost threw him away in the forest, completely forgetting that her magic affects him slightly because she was bonded to him, looked at his wife.
For the first time, he really felt that what his wife did was unnecessary. She shouldn’t have used her Magna like this. But what exactly triggered this? Sebastian looked at the witch at some distance.
He has never seen his wife unnecessarily angry and showing off her powers. It was surely related to this witch. Or why would Elliana, who had preserved her energy since earlier and sat aside quietly use her powers, risking her life just after this witch came?
As soon as the attack was done, Elliana returned to the ground, her body almost going limp if not for Sebastian, who held her in his arms and nodded at Nathaniel to teleport them.
"Remind me to never cross your wife, Sebastian. I can still fight against you using my skills, but she can make me disappear with a click of her fingers. My heart almost leapt out of my mouth," Stephano said as soon as they returned to the Kingdom.
"You can use the guest room," Sebastian said, not heeding any mind to his other words as he placed his wife on the bed gently.
Now that they were out of that zone, Stephano could see how weak Princess Elliana was really looking. It was almost as if she had been in some kind of vegetative state for some months.
"She will be okay, right?" Stephano asked, and Sebastian hummed before he looked at his brother.
"That witch-"
"We have asked them to stay in the guest house between the two Kingdoms for the time being. I didn’t think it was good to let them come here where they could trigger Princess Elliana. Do you also think that the attack and its intensity was triggered by that witch?" Stephano asked, and Sebastian hummed again.
He looked at his elder brother.
Though he gave up his throne seat, Sebastian wasn’t a fool to not know how capable his brother really was. He was one of the only people in the royal Kingdom who could put two and two together like this.
He wasn’t even indulging in their business and witches, but his guess was correct just based on his observations.
"I will call her family here to see what could be done to have her heal faster," Sebastian said.
"You guys will join my birthday party, right? It won’t be fun without family. Everyone is already bitter about Angelo not being in the nation. Mom Freya has asked about him quite a few times and why she can’t contact him. I don’t think we will be able to protect this truth that he has run away for long," Stephano said.
Sebastian hummed. He was about to walk around the bed to grab a wet towel to wipe the dirt and blood from Elliana’s body when she subconsciously held his hand, making Stephano look at the girl.
"You guys realize you make me both envious and jealous, right?" Stephano complained before he left the room, closing the door with a bang.
Sebastian sighed as he looked at the door before he sat beside his Princess. They were just lucky that she didn’t lose consciousness and fell into a ’Blackout’ phase for a few hours like the last time, or things would’ve been worse for her.
"I am here. Don’t worry," Sebastian went inside the duvet before he pulled her close so her head was lying on his chest.
"I love you, Cara. Don’t scare me like this ever," He whispered before tightening his hold around her.
