Chapter 607: She was awestruck

Elliana wiped the blood from the corner of her lips using the back of her hand before she chuckled.

The blood dripping down her neck while she sweated profusely was making her look like she was some kind of vampire herself who had just awakened the demon inside herself after drinking fresh blood.

"You wanted to allure me here to hurt me so that you can bait my husband and take revenge on the vampire kingdom, right?" Elliana tilted her head, her gaze meeting Grayson.

"Uncle Grayson, you led such a powerful team here. Did you forget about who I have become?" Elliana asked.

Jasmine looked at her boss, who wasn’t sounding like herself anymore and was worrying her.

Elliana licked her bottom lip before looking at the weapons in their hands.

"All these weapons are useless here. Don’t use them," Elliana clicked her fingers, and in an instant, all the weapons turned into ashes, making the people jerk back in surprise when the heat from the weapons almost burnt them.

Those who had grenades in their pockets started to throw the grenades away from them when they realized what this girl was doing.

"Leader Grayson! What is this? Why weren’t we informed that this girl was not a normal human anymore and possessed such harmful powers?" One of the men immediately stepped ahead while the man in question, Grayson, just chuckled at the girl.

"I didn’t tell you anything about it because I knew something like this would happen if we had to face her. I just wanted to test a few things first. That was why I asked you to place your other set of weapons in that liquid given to us by that witch," Grayson smirked before he clapped his hands, and everyone changed their weapons immediately, bringing out the ones hanging on their backs.

Elliana squinted her brows lightly.

"So this is what you’ve got against me? Weapons laced in Magna of a witch’s spell so that they won’t be affected by my magic? Pfft..." She chuckled before fanning her hair and tying it in a bun.

’Elliana, let us handle it,’ Circe said, but Elliana knew that though they wanted to act tough and fight all these humans, they were weak too.

If she used too much of her energy, then just like she blacked out during the last rogue vampire war, she would lose consciousness again.

Her mother already warned her against it and that these blacking-outs were destroying her neurons.

With her husband literally trying to pull the world together to keep her safe, she didn’t want to make a mistake and worsen her situation even more.

As much as she would’ve enjoyed Circe showing off her powers to the humans and letting them know who they were messing with, Elliana knew to be careful too.

"What are you thinking, boss?" Jasmine whispered near Elliana, who pressed her lips into a thin line.

"Who did you call earlier?" Elliana asked.

"Prince Stephano. He said he would be here soon," Jasmine said, and Elliana hummed before looking at all the weapons pointed at them.

"In that case, can you help me stall for some time? Remember, I don’t want you to die either," Elliana said.

Jasmine gulped before looking at all the humans standing in front of her.

"You can entrust me with that," Jasmine said, and Elliana smiled.

Weren’t her people too loyal for their own good? She clicked her fingers and created a shield around Jasmine and herself to protect them from any weapons being used on them so they could turn it into a fair fight.

"In that case, come at us," Elliana said, standing in a fighting stance.

Grayson was the first one to shoot at her leg because they needed her alive, but seeing how the bullet literally bounced off, he gritted his teeth.

They tried the same with Jasmine, who flinched a little and closed her eyes, but to her surprise, the bullet didn’t even come in the range of 1 m, let alone hit her.

Jasmine looked at her boss, even more impressed.

Elliana casually took off her jacket and tore the base of her dress to be able to fight more vigorously.

Wait. Why did she tear such a beautiful outfit? Elliana sighed at herself before she clicked her fingers and changed her outfit into one that was optimum for fighting.

She pulled a hunter’s whip laced with thorns and casually wrapped it around her neck.

"Your weapons won’t work. My magic won’t work. You are hundreds in number, and I have this hunter. I think this somewhat became fair, right?" Elliana asked, and Grayson nodded at his people, who immediately rushed to her.

Seeing the ten men rushing towards her, Elliana suppressed the urge to scoff.

They really weren’t going easy on her. Though she had confidence that she would survive this battle, she didn’t want to feel so much pain once again.

But was it really in her hand?

Elliana raised her hunter and was about to hit the first man who came to attack her when the whip was snatched from her hands and she was gently pushed backwards.

Her pupils dilated when she looked at the familiar back of the man standing in front of her.

"I am sorry, Cara. I am late," Sebastian whispered, and Elliana felt her heart skip a beat at his appearance.

"Who did this to you?" Elliana asked, her anger rising as she looked at all the blood on his clothes.

Sebastian turned to her briefly before he pecked her forehead.

"It’s not mine. Now go sit on that stone and let your man do the work, yeah?" Sebastian asked.

It wasn’t that he didn’t trust her. He just didn’t want her to get hurt. And most importantly, he didn’t want her to waste her magna on such pests that he would wipe out himself.

Elliana looked at the man who was getting angry, and she immediately raised her hand to create a shield around him so he wouldn’t be hurt by the weapons.

However, the shield didn’t appear. She looked at her right side where one of the humans was smashed brutally, his blood making her nostrils flare.

The siren powers were starting to awaken again.

The actual hell! Elliana pinched her nose to stop herself from inhaling the scent of the human blood.

Though the human blood earlier was making her go haywire, she noticed this time it wasn’t that severe. It only meant that the humans were indeed using some kind of herbs for that purpose.

She shook her head, her gaze shifting to that bleeding human again and again. Her jaws were starting to hurt, and she realized what was happening.

She shook her head.

No. She wasn’t a monster. She told herself.

It wasn’t about being a monster anymore. She was mature enough to accept she wasn’t a human and belonged to another species that went as far as using humans for sacrifices, but she also knew that the moment human blood would touch her tongue, she would indirectly allow her siren powers to completely take over.

The siren powers would try to rule her body by killing the witch powers, and if that happened, they would try to go to their leader later, leaving Elliana with nothing but a painful death.

She turned her gaze and focussed it on her husband. The more she watched him fighting and wiping those humans, rather than feeling disgusted, she couldn’t help but envy him.

Her heart fluttered, and she found herself thinking about all the lewd things she wanted to do to him at the moment.

A couple of rogues jumped on him and got a hold of his clothes. He jerked himself, throwing the humans away, which resulted in the tearing of his shirt.

Everything was happening so quickly since Sebastian was using his vampire speed, but to her, it looked nothing less than a movie scene that was playing in slow motion.

She placed her hand on her chest as she saw him reliving his shirt completely.

"Damn this body," She found herself saying as she saw his muscles flex. The way he was moving his hands, his elongated nails shredding those humans and making them scream, she couldn’t hear anything.

A melodic song played in her head while she watched her husband with a longing and loving gaze.

Sebastian, who was oblivious to his wife’s thoughts since his mind barrier was up, gritted his teeth.

"You dared to point a gun at my wife? You guys surely have grown some balls," Sebastian smashed the head of another human leader on the stone, making his dead body fall on the ground.

He wanted to end this battle as soon as possible so he could take his wife away from this bloodshed.

He briefly turned to look at his woman. She was sitting there with her hand over her chest, looking in his direction, dazed.

What was this? Was she in too much pain? Was it becoming unbearable? Sebastian’s beast immediately started killing everyone proactively.

There is no way he would let his wife feel this pain for long. He promised himself.

"Rrrrrr!" A growl left Sebastian’s mouth, and everyone saw his fangs elongated as his eyes turned black immediately, making Stephano, who reached there just in time, pause in his steps.

Stephano turned to look at his sister-in-law, and seeing her all soaked in blood with her hand over her chest, he knew what triggered his brother.

This would surely not end well.
