Chapter 606: Saved or not?

Elliana lay flat on her back as she looked at the sky, her eyes feeling too tired. Her vision was already blurred out.

Keeping them open was a task that she didn’t want to do anymore.

Maybe it was for the welfare of everyone. If she died today, this power war would end, and no one would come for her husband or his kingdom. No one would be brought back from the dead, and no rules would be broken.

Elliana smiled softly, the pain-numbing her thoughts.

"Boss! Please keep your eyes open! Please don’t close them. For us, for your vampire women’s team, for your husband that you love so much, please keep your eyes open," Jasmine’s voice was nothing more than a distant noise in the background, like someone banging the walls of a soundproof room.

"It’s the end?" Elliana asked herself.

There was no doubt it was all because of the smell in this forest and her siren powers wanting to be free. She knew she needed to fight these thoughts, but how was she supposed to do that when even her body was screaming at her to let go?

Elliana coughed more blood as she lay there, letting nature take its course. She has been fighting for so long that she needed some rest, a well-intended and prolonged rest.

She started to close her eyes slowly, her actions scaring Jasmine, who sat with her boss’s head in her lap.

"No. Please don’t close your eyes on me. What will I tell others? What will I say to your people? I couldn’t protect you from your own thoughts? Boss, please don’t do this. We all need you," Jasmine rocked Elliana in hopes she would open her eyes, tears brimming her own eyes.

As she looked around helplessly, the tears started to fall on Elliana’s face, and the cold drops immediately brought Elliana out of her daze that wanted her to lay back and not fight.

Elliana started to open her eyes slowly, the smell of Jasmine’s sadness and tears starting to register in her mind.

"Jasmine, t-take me out of this forest if you can," Elliana finally said the words she had been trying to say for the past fifteen minutes but couldn’t mouth because of her choked throat.

"Yes, boss! Please keep your eyes open," Jasmine immediately stood in her paws.

"Where do you think you are going?" The man who had led them here immediately stood in front of her as he waited for his team to come here.

He was asked to take Elliana all the way to the middle of the forest, but who would’ve thought that the girl would fall here? He wanted to go closer to her and take her there himself because more than $10000 was at stake, but he was also well informed that the woman around the king was no normal person.

Earlier, he didn’t know if this woman was the same one. He had thought to kidnap this girl and use her to bring the so-called princess out of the Kingdom. That was the reason he was running ahead without a care in the world until he recognised the symptoms that she started to show when she fell down.

He indeed hit a jackpot at the first hit.

"Step aside," Jasmine said, her wolf snarling from inside her who was loyal to their boss, the one person who saved them and helped them through thick and thin.

"Aww, trying to be tough? Do you really think you can fight me? Know your place, you b*tch!" The man raised his hand to hit Jasmine, but before he could do that, Elliana scrunched her brows.

She raised her hand, sending him flying away, his body hitting the tree at some distance, making him groan in pain as his body hit the ground.

Even while using magic as small as this, Elliana could feel how much it was straining her mind.

"Take me out," Elliana seethed, and Jasmine immediately growled at the man before helping Elliana on her back.

She rushed towards the exit of the pack, but she could only take a few steps when the man changed back into its wolf form and attacked them.

Since he attacked them from behind, Jasmine, whose focus was solely on taking her boss out of the place, howled in pain when the man hit her paw, making her crash mid-jump, throwing Elliana at some distance.

Elliana, who was already losing enough blood because of her constant coughing, groaned in agony when her body hit the ground terribly.

Jasmine looked at her boss with tears streaming down her face before she growled at the wolf who pounced on her.

"How dare you!" Jasmine screamed in her head, blaming herself for not being agile enough.

If anything happened to her boss today, she wouldn’t ever be able to look at herself in the mirror and die too.

And what about others who depend on their boss? freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

No. No. If she was going to die, she should at least die protecting their boss and do anything in her power to take the boss out of this forest.

It was all down to this forest. Their boss was perfectly fine until they didn’t arrive in this forest. Maybe that was why their boss asked her to take her out of there.

Jasmine looked in front of her. The exit of the forest was only 100m away or so. She shifted her gaze to her boss. Elliana was in no condition to crawl to the exit. It has to be her. She will have to take her boss there.

Jasmine immediately shook her snout, her fur moving along with her movements before she stood in a fighting stance, ready to fight for her life.

The wolf in front of her gave her a chilling wolfy grin.

"Huh, there is a reason I hate bitches like you. Just because your wolf is the same size as ours, do you really think you can take us male wolves down? Where does this useless confidence come from? Besides, you are nothing more than a rogue. I bet you even have enough strength to stand in front of me for ten minutes, let alone take me down," The wolf turned into his human form and looked at the she-wolf with a mocking gaze.

Elliana lifted her head with difficulty before she tried to crawl towards the exit of the forest. She exhaled as she tried her best to stand. However, no matter how much she tried, nothing fruitful happened, and her body went limp again.

’Can you really not help, Circe?’ Elliana tried to communicate with her powers, who had been silent since earlier and not replying to her.

’We can’t. The siren powers are suppressing us because of whatever scent this is,’ Circe said, and Elliana nodded in understanding.

She moved her body, little by little, looking at Jasmine, who was having a face-off with that wolf who led them here.

She hated herself for bringing Jasmine into this problem, but a part of her was relieved that she wasn’t here alone, otherwise, how would she have been able to come out of here?

"That’s the problem with you chauvinistic males too. You guys think the entire world revolves around you, and no one can beat you. You always think that she-wolves are lesser than you," Jasmine said, buying some time for herself as she let her paws heal.

Her gaze shifted to her boss crawling towards the exit in so much pain, and couldn’t help but feel ashamed of herself.

Her boss called her out of all the people in the group because she was sure she would be able to help and look at what she was doing.

Jasmine looked back into the man’s eyes before she pounced on him. She won’t let her boss down. After all those years of training, she will put them to use today.

The man who wasn’t expecting the she-wolf to be this fast as she appeared right behind him and hit his back, almost biting into his shoulders if not for his wolf, who alerted him and moved him to the side at the last moment, couldn’t help but look at the she-wolf with a glare.

They started fighting. Seeing how the she-wolf was dominating, the man also quickly changed into his wolf form and started fighting her using his skills, shocked at how she was performing stunts and twisting her body at dangerous angles to try to bite him.

It was almost as if she didn’t care whether she got out of there alive.

Fighting against a powerful wolf was easy, but fighting against a she-wolf who didn’t care about her life wasn’t so easy.

Jasmine, after fighting for some time, finally got a loophole in his fighting stance and used her tactics. She jumped into the tree before jumping on him and biting his shoulders.

Using his distracted form as he groaned in pain, Jasmine quickly held Eliana’s collar and pulled her up on her body before running towards the exit.

Elliana looked at the bleeding paws of Jasmine as she ran for her life, and tears brimmed her eyes, making her breathe finally now that they were out of that damned forest.

Elliana looked at her hand, the mark gone, and a sigh escaped her mouth.

"Heal," Elliana whispered as she hugged Jasmine to heal the wolf.

Jasmine was about to howl in joy when they saw humans appearing out of nowhere with snipers and rifles of all kinds in their hands, making them halt in their places.

What the hell?
