The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 600: A deal
Chapter 600: A deal
"A bone marrow transplant?" Elliana asked, her gaze darkening and King Eros sighed.
He held her hand.
"First listen to me, baby. This is-" King Eros started but Elliana just jerked his hand away and turned around before leaving the room, not saying anything else.
"Princess, the chef has prepared -" One of the maids started, but before she could complete her sentence, her gaze met with Elliana’s dark ones and she gulped before looking down.
Elliana didn’t talk to anyone and just walked out of the palace.
She could’ve just used her teleportation powers to go wherever she wanted, but she didn’t want to. She wanted to walk and think about things.
A bone marrow transplant? Does he really not know what kind of thing he was talking about? It wasn’t just a kidney or liver transplant, for god’s sake. Elliana’s lips trembled as she clenched her fists by her side, mindlessly walking towards the market zone.
She knew her father always loved her. Or how would someone really agree with giving up his life? She was really grateful to have such a loving father, but does he really not think about what kind of effect his sacrifices have on other people?
What kind of selflessness was this really when all you are left with is hatred and yearning for other people?
Her dad was once again ready to give up his life for her, but what about her mother? All her life, she only wanted her husband’s love and yearned for it. And now that he was back after all these years, he was thinking about leaving again.
Was this really fair to her? And the worst part is, she can’t even blame him for that. She hated her own daughter for some time because he left to save the daughter and almost ended up killing her own daughter to bring him back.
And now after all this, he wanted to leave her all alone in this cursed world for his daughter once again.
How could he really expect her to agree with this? Elliana thought.
Lost in her thoughts, she didn’t even see where she was going until she bumped into the person and she raised her gaze slowly.
Her brows furrowed when she looked at the man in front of her.
The man, as soon as he saw Elliana looking directly into his eyes, widened his eyes and disappeared from the place.
"Grayson?" Elliana wondered before she clicked her fingers and used her teleportation to follow the man.
As far as she remembered, wasn’t he working directly under Queen Marla? What was he doing here, so close to the vampire kingdom? But most importantly, why did his scent appear like that of a vampire?
Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line when she realized the humans were probably planning something against them once again.
This reminded her that she was so busy with her quests, her Magna, and saving her father that she never sat with Mr. Marino to ask him about what was going on with the human rogues and how their battle went.
She heard that it was a tough battle and seeing how Mr. Marino was wounded terribly, she could see that the human rogues indeed had a tough fight. frёewebnoѵēl.com
But were human rogues really that capable?
Something fishy was definitely going on here, and she needed to warn Mr. Marino about it.
Elliana sighed before she looked towards the vampire kingdom as her teleportation took her to where Grayson was going.
"What happened? Weren’t you going to the Black Market? Why are you back so early?" One of the men asked and Grayson looked behind him before shaking his head.
"I saw Elliana," He said.
"Elliana? You mean the fake illegitimate daughter of the king?" The man asked and Grayson hummed.
"And you got scared of her?" The man asked, making Grayson glare at the man.
"Do you even have any idea what Elliana has become now? She isn’t just any normal human kid that people used to bully so easily. She is now the vampire King’s wife and a very strong witch," Grayson said.
"Her eyes... Her eyes were so vacant and powerful... It almost felt like she was there to suck the soul out of me," Grayson whispered before he walked to the table and threw everything placed on top of it.
This girl. Everything started with this girl. If she hadn’t come to the royal palace in the name of being the fake illegitimate daughter, nothing like this would’ve happened in the first place.
If she hadn’t provoked Madeline, she wouldn’t have ended up bullying her, and Sebastian would’ve never killed her in the first place and Queen Marla hadn’t taken the oath to kill every single person alive in her family.
Grayson gritted his teeth. Even today, he was going to check the situation in the black market and see if they could talk to someone to import the de-scenting sprays, but this girl appeared out of nowhere and ruined everything.
"So what are we going to do next? Since Elliana has already seen you, there’s no doubt she will inform her husband about it and we might have to leave the place as soon as possible. The witches are not helping us either. The contact with those dark witches has been lost long ago," The man said and Grayson sighed.
Elliana heard whatever they were talking about and sighed before disappearing from the place.
However, rather than going back to the Black Skull Palace, she went to the place where she knew she would get the answers she needed.
As soon as Elliana appeared there, all the vampires bowed to her in respect, making her nod at them.
"Is the key with you?" She asked.
The vampires who report directly to their King, looked at each other, a bit wary.
They were clearly informed to not listen to anyone, no matter who that person is. But they also knew that even their king wouldn’t dare to provoke this one woman.
"This, Princess, King Sebastian has forbidden access to the cell to everyone except him," the guard said and Elliana nodded.
"Okay," She said before she walked inside the caves, her gaze wavering a bit when she heard the sniffing.
It wasn’t hard for her to understand that the witch was still crying.
She bit her bottom lip before walking forward until she was right in front of the cell.
"Mom, please don’t do this with me. I will listen to everything you have to say. Please don’t lock me up like this. Please, Mom, I have a life inside of me," Azrael mourned, and her painful cries echoed in the silent cave.
Elliana clenched her fists when she realized that the witch was probably having a nightmare again.
Seeing her whimpering like this, she wanted to see how painful things were for her and she was having nightmares of it even now after all this time.
"Azrael," Elliana whispered to catch the witch’s attention, but she was so lost in her nightmare that she didn’t listen to her and Elliana took a deep breath.
"Azrael," Elliana said again, this time much louder than before.
The lady jerked back to reality, opening her eyes slowly as she felt the maze of her nightmares snapping.
She blinked her eyes softly before looking around, wanting to see the reason her dream ended so soon.
As soon as her gaze met with Elliana, her soft gaze hardened and her expression turned from being slightly grateful to scornful.
"What are you doing here?" Azrael asked, the little trace of her being scared of something, completely gone now.
"I am here to talk to you," Elliana whispered and Azrael scoffed.
"To talk to me? What is there to talk to me about? Hmm? Haven’t you caused enough damage that you are here to put salt on my wounds?" Azrael rolled her eyes and Elliana smiled.
Seriously, if she hadn’t seen it herself, who would be able to tell that this lady in front of her was really wounded?
It was amazing. Everyone says that Azrael didn’t have any emotions, but even after that, she was capable of crying, getting angry, being sarcastic, and showing fear when she was dreaming.
Just what kind of emotionlessness was this? The kind where you forget to feel happy and see the positive side to things and situations? The kind where you make someone’s destruction your entire motive to live?
Elliana sighed and shook her head.
"Are you sure I am the one who is putting salt on your wounds? Didn’t you start this fight? I agree that what happened with you was truly drastic and I really wish that no one should go through what you went through, but what about others? Do you think we all deserve that? I deserve that?" Elliana asked Azrael, who scoffed again.
"If you are here to give me some kind of lecture, please, I am not interested in it. Get lost," Azrael said.
However, in her eyes, Elliana could see that she really didn’t want to be left alone.
A sigh escaped Elliana’s mouth and she looked at Azrael.
"I have a deal for you," She whispered.
