Rebirth as The Billionaire's Seventh Wife-Chapter 82: I Will Fly There
Chapter 82: I Will Fly There
"Great work, Neil!" Willow exclaimed as he reached his side.
His eyes lit up at the sight of Aurora lying still on the floor, a pool of blood forming near her head.
He felt sorry for her situation, yet the memory of how she kicked him and left his knees aching made that sympathy vanish instantly.
"Aurora, if only you had listened to your uncle, you wouldn’t have to suffer as you do now," Willow said softly, bringing Neil back to his senses.
Neil looked up at Willow with a blank expression and begged in a trembling voice.
"Sir, sir, I will call an ambulance. I can’t let my young miss die like this. This isn’t my plan..."
Neil didn’t wait for Willow Spencer to respond; he fumbled for his cell phone in his pocket with shaking hands.
"Do whatever you want, Neil! But hurry... I need you to untie my hands."
Willow shook his head, gazing into Neil’s tearful eyes as he tried again to free her hands but was unsuccessful. This only increased his annoyance with Aurora.
How dare she treat him like a criminal?
His eyes shifted back to the girl; he noticed her face becoming pale and her lips turning purple.
’Little bitch, you wait. I will take over all your property and leave you with nothing. Those are all my big brother’s hard work, not yours. You don’t deserve to own all that if you don’t respect your elders.’
"BAM!"
The smashed door echoed, startling everyone in the office, who were shocked to see two men in black appear.
"Who are you?" Willow Spencer asked, confused. He didn’t remember he had bodyguards with such handsome, young faces as these two men.
Instead of responding to Willow Spencer, the two men entered the room and approached Aurora’s body.
"Are you friends with Aurora?" Willow asked again, his irritation starting to seep through. He furrowed his brow, looking at them both with a puzzled expression.
But once more, they didn’t respond to him. Instead, one of the men began to lift Aurora’s body from the floor and carry her in his arms in a princess style.
"What is happening? Who are you? Please don’t take my niece; I still need to talk to her!" Willow yelled as he rushed forward to stop him, but before he could reach him, he was thrown against the wall by a powerful flying kick from the man.
Willow yells in pain, horrified as he looks at the man who kicked him.
"Billy, help Aunty Tina and make sure no one leaves this room," Josh finally said, his cold gaze fixed on Billy, the driver.
"The backup team will arrive in a few minutes. I will head to the hospital now. Aunty Tina, please follow me; hurry..." With that, Josh left.
"Yes, bro!" Billy, in a hurry, approached Tina and released her.
...
Spectra City, the nation’s capital.
Alex enjoys his day with his best friends at one of Spectra City’s luxury clubs. They all play pool while discussing their recent business affairs.
However, the peaceful ambiance was shattered when Alex’s personal cell phone buzzed in his pocket.
He glanced at his phone and was surprised to find Josh calling him there.
His trusted bodyguard rarely called him on that number unless something important prevented them from reaching him through his assistant or other phone.
Alex swiftly excused himself from his friends to answer the phone.
Standing by the large glass window in the corner with a view of the golf course, he checked his watch and was surprised to see that it was already three in the afternoon.
He quickly answered the call. "Josh, why are you calling this number?"
"Sir, I apologize for interrupting you, but I must report something important."
As Alex listened to Josh’s distressed voice, his grip on the phone tightened instinctively.
He felt his heart race, and for the first time, a wave of anxiety and fear enveloped him.
...
In a deep voice, Josh began to explain what had happened in Opal City.
After Aurora entered her parents’ house, he waited in the car with unease. A few moments later, he began to realize that there was something strange about the house.
He was aware the house stood vacant. The only occupant was the butler; however, as he approached the side of the house, he noticed two black vans parked nearby, along with a burly man standing there.
Upon seeing the burly man, Josh immediately sensed that he was not a good person. But he didn’t act immediately; he remembered Aurora had said her house was safe.
However, when he heard the man talking on the phone, he seemed to be reporting something to someone. Instantly, he understood he must take action.
Once he subdued the man by the vans, he proceeded to the house, only to meet another burly man blocking his way.
He didn’t waste much time; with a single move, he crippled the man and discovered that everyone was now in the study room, including Aurora.
The sight in the room stunned him. It felt as though part of his soul had departed when he saw Aurora’s lifeless body on the floor.
"Sir, I’m sorry, but when I arrived, I found your wife unconscious, and Tina was being held hostage in poor condition."
Josh paused briefly, awaiting Alex’s response since Alex hadn’t spoken since earlier.
’Is he still there?’ Josh wondered, glancing at his cell phone screen, which remained connected.
"Where is she now?" At last, Alex’s hoarse, heavy voice was heard from the other end, relieving Josh.
"Sir, she’s been in the operating room for around ten minutes. I’m unsure what happened, but before her entrance, she..."
Josh’s voice trailed off, concerned about delivering this dreadful news.
"She what?" Alex’s voice sounded cold, making Josh even more tense and guilty.
"She is completely unconscious. Sir, I’m sorry..."
Alex felt a sharp pressure in his heart as if someone had gripped it tightly. He truly worried about her well-being for the first time.
After a brief silence, he said softly, "Please, do anything you can to help her. I will fly there—"
