Chapter 81: Betrayal!

Aurora no longer felt as relaxed as when she crippled the other bodyguards. Previously, she could easily overpower them using only her strength without using her skills.

Slowly, her once friendly and relaxed eyes became cold. She made no move but waited for the bodyguard leader’s dagger to come within an inch of her throat before dodging slightly.

She swiftly grabbed the man’s arm, tightening her grip, then twisted it while delivering a forceful knee strike.

To her surprise, the man evaded all of her moves.

Although taken aback, Aurora moved forward confidently. The man stepped back to evade her forward movement.

She noticed that his shocked expression was clearly visible in his eyes. But later, a smile appeared on his lips as if he were happy to have an equal opponent.

They traded powerful blows multiple times, neither feeling tired nor fearful.

After a few moments, a smile emerged on Aurora’s face as she effortlessly dodged the lethal dagger strike from the man.

"Looks like you’ve exhausted all your moves and energy," Aurora remarked nonchalantly.

"Dream on!" The man accelerated, but none of his attacks succeeded despite his fast move to find a chance to hurt her.

Aurora appeared calm and smiled casually when the bodyguard leader began to feel short of breath, and his hands grew numb.

"Man, you are too weak to be my sparring partner..." Aurora’s mocking words shocked him deeply.

Before he could speak, he noticed the girl speeding up; despite his efforts to block her, he failed. She was just too quick, leaving him breathless and with a burning chest.

With a quick movement, Aurora struck the man’s neck with a forceful jab, leaving him paralyzed as his body tumbled helplessly to the floor, much like a broken kite.

A loud "thud" echoed when the bodyguard leader’s body hit the marble floor.

All the wounded bodyguards wished for their leader’s victory, but their hopes vanished as they noticed him lying motionless. They all feigned unconsciousness, fearing that the girl would shatter their bones again.

Aurora gently massaged her arm, feeling the ache and swelling, but she tried to suppress it.

She made her way toward the bodyguard leader. Though he remained still, his wide eyes were fixed on her, filled with a mix of worry and fright, as if he wanted to say, "Please don’t kill me!" through his gaze.

"Don’t be afraid. I don’t intend to kill you. I’ve struck a pressure point in your blood flow to keep you immobilized temporarily. You’ll be back on your feet in a few hours. However, I can only assume you’ll find your strength again at the police station..."

Aurora smiled playfully, finding humor in the proud man she had spotted earlier, who now looked like a sick puppy.

She checked each bodyguard she had previously defeated, noting that they remained motionless, silent, and unmoving on the floor.

"Did you all really faint?" Aurora asked as she approached the man next to her. She tried gently kicking his feet, but he remained still.

"Oh, come on, man, are you all this weak? I just gave you a light kick and tap, and you fainted..." She feels frustrated.

Aurora’s words almost suffocated every bodyguard, each pretending to faint. They could only express their frustration internally while pretending to lose consciousness.

’What is wrong with this woman? She says she barely hit me, but I can feel two broken ribs! My knee is in agony, too! This is infuriating! I might end up in a wheelchair for life!’

’Damn it! I can’t believe how unlucky today has been! How did we run into this demoness during our guard mission?’

’Damn you, little devil! I’ll ensure you receive your punishment soon!’ A man with long shoulder-length hair and a damaged knee cursed Aurora in his mind.

Every bodyguard hoped for Aurora’s downfall, yet she remained oblivious to their wishes.

Aurora continued to scan her father’s office, which now looked very messy.

The chairs were no longer in their place, and some decorations on the walls had fallen and broken.

She could only take a deep sigh and smile at Neil, who stood frozen in place; his face looked wither, and it was clear that he was as shocked as Tina.

Before she checked Tina, Aurora glanced at her uncle. She nearly laughed when she saw him curled under the table, his hands still tightly bound with a belt. He wouldn’t be able to remove it unless someone assisted him.

Aurora ignored Willow Spencer for the moment, deciding she would address him later.

She hurried over to Tina, who had stopped crying, but her eyes were swollen from tears, and her body trembled slightly.

"Aunty, you are safe. It’s all over—" Aurora’s words trail off when something solid hits the back of her head.

Her vision began to fade, and dizziness enveloped her, causing the world around her to swirl. As she turned her head, she noticed a man holding a dark object behind her.

"U-Uncle Neil? Why are you..." was the last sentence that escaped her lips before darkness enveloped her.

She could only hear sounds: her uncle’s happy laughter and Neil’s sobs.

In her thoughts, Aurora could only curse for having missed Neil’s betrayal.

"BWAHAHA, you bitch! Do you believe I don’t have a backup plan?" Willow’s voice echoes in the room as he attempts to stand up from the floor. "Neil is my person. He is no longer your father’s butler; he is mine..."

"I’m sorry, young miss. I don’t have a choice because they kidnapped my parents," Neil said through his tears as he walked toward Aurora to check on her. He knelt before her, who lay motionless on the floor.

Tina was too stunned to move. She felt her body instantly transform into an ice sculpture, as if someone had just opened the gate to the North Pole. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

She try to shout, but no words could escape her lips. Instead, she could only scold Neil with her piercing dagger glare.

’NEIL, YOU SCUM! HOW DARE YOU! HOW DARE YOU TAKE MISS AURORA’S LIFE! I WILL END YOU, NEIL! I SWEAR I WILL MAKE YOU PAY!!!"
