Leaning back in her chair, Aurora couldn’t help but chuckle at Renata and Danny, who remained wide-eyed and breathless, gazing at her.

It had been a few minutes since Alex left them, yet no single word escaped their lips.

"Rena, Danny, if you don’t say anything now, I will leave..." Aurora said nonchalantly.

"Girl, you better explain how you became his wife before leaving this place!" At last, Renata mustered her voice, narrowing her eyes at Aurora.

Renata was still dumbfounded to discover that Aurora was married to Alexander Graystone, a notorious playboy.

’Heaven! Now, Rory has become Alex’s seventh wife?’ Just the thought made her stomach twist.

What made Renata even more unsettled now was that her best friend, Aurora, was still connected to Alex in her second life. This was difficult for her to understand.

Danny shook his head slowly at Renata’s words, a friendly chuckle escaping him.

"Rena, why do you sound mad? They were definitely dating before they got married, right, Aurora?" he asked, confused and curious to see how upset Renata was about Aurora marrying Alex.

Renata shot Danny a "Stop asking me!" glare before redirecting her attention to Aurora. "Rory, can you explain now, girl? Are you really dating him?"

Aurora chuckled as she explained how she became Alex’s wife. It was all due to an arranged marriage. She only realized it was him when they met for the first time.

However, she didn’t reveal how her father sold his company or that he forced Alex to marry her.

She also didn’t mention the prenup; she and Alex entered into a two-year marriage contract, although Alex has already annulled that prenup.

Aurora finished explaining and looked at Danny: "So, no, Danny, I’m not dating him. I only met him the day we finalized our marriage."

Danny gasped, surprised to learn that Alexander Graystone found it so easy to get a wife. He got a beautiful, young wife and a wise, kind woman like Aurora.

This was the first time he felt envy for Alex.

Danny couldn’t help but scold that man in his mind, ’Alex, can you stop searching for a new wife? Can you spare one for us, the single guys?’ He chuckled inwardly, hearing his thoughts.

After a brief pause, Renata turned to Aurora and said, "Wah, how could that even be possible, Rory! I mean, out of a million men in this country, you end up with him?"

"Tsk... Tsk... Rena, I get that you dislike Alex just as much as I do. But it’s important to support Aurora. Can you at least pray for her? Pray for Alex to stop his hobby of searching for a new wife?" Danny’s voice trailed off as he gazed at Aurora.

Danny instantly felt worried about saying something that would hurt her feelings.

"Aurora, sorry, but we hear your husband has many ex-wives. I don’t know if that’s true or not... I worry he might, you know, get divorced again..." Danny didn’t want to hurt Aurora’s feelings, so he simply dropped the matter.

However, Danny was taken aback moments later when Aurora smiled at him.

’Huh!? Why does she look so calm?’ he wondered.

"Well, Danny, you’re not mistaken. My husband was indeed married six times before me," Aurora calmly said. "I also appreciate your hope that he will stop searching for another wife. Thank you..."

Aurora smiled softly at Danny’s surprised reaction to her words.

She didn’t really care about Alex’s past because she knew for sure why he married all his ex-wives: it was because of business deals or his parents arranged it for him—no love was involved in his past relationships.

But after marrying her, Alex started to change.

Even though they first got married for business reasons, he is starting to change now. He is in love with her; she can tell from how he has behaved lately and how he pampers her.

"That stupid Alex, really married six times? You’re seriously his seventh wife?" Renata shouted in disbelief, pulling Aurora from her thoughts.

"Hmm, he was. But don’t worry, Rena. He assured me this would be his final marriage." Aurora explained.

"That’s good to hear." Danny nodded happily. Even though he had only known Aurora recently, deep in his heart, he felt this girl was like his younger sister. He felt genuinely happy for her.

"Thank you, Danny..." Aurora glanced at her watch and felt bad for making Alex wait. She needed to leave now.

As Aurora prepared to leave, Renata unexpectedly inquired, "Oh, right, Rory. Did he know about you? You know what I mean."

Aurora shrugged, aware that Renata inquired about her rebirth. "No, he didn’t know. I mentioned it a few times, but he never heard of it. Well, just like the others..."

"Wow! So he didn’t..." Renata was shocked to learn that. "I can’t imagine what would happen if he found out it was you, Rory. He might either leave you or fall deeply in love with you."

A soft chuckle slipped from Renata’s lips before she took a sip from her water bottle to moisten her suddenly dry throat. All this information about Aurora and Alex being married is enough to make her feel bewildered.

"Well, Rena, believe me or not... Alex is in love with my old and new self." Aurora stifled a smile as she felt her face grow warm, remembering how her relationship with Alex progressed rapidly.

"Cough!" Renata nearly choked. She quickly set down the empty water bottle and blinked to focus on Aurora. "Is it really true? Are you positive he loves the old you?"

"Hmm, he hated me at first because of my name..." Aurora sighed. She wanted to tell Renata many things, but felt it was time to go home.

"I will call you later, Rena. We will talk about it on the phone," Aurora said with an apologetic smile gracing her lips as she stood up from her seat.

"You are right! Go on, don’t make him wait any longer," Renata said with a warm smile.

Despite her hatred of Alex for what he had done to Aurora Moon in the past, seeing how in love Alex was with Aurora Moon’s soul in Aurora Spencer’s body made her feel relieved.

At least her best friend would not experience the same suffering as she did in her previous life.

"Wait, wait, Aurora..." Danny stopped her. "What are you two discussing?" he asked, glancing at Aurora and Renata simultaneously. Their earlier conversation had left him confused.

Renata chuckled at Danny. "Aurora, you go. I will explain to Danny..." she said while walking to the door.

She will attempt to explain to Danny, hoping he will eventually grasp that their best friend was, in fact, reborn as Aurora Spencer.
