Rebirth as The Billionaire's Seventh Wife-Chapter 128: Adjusting to Her New Life
Chapter 128: Adjusting to Her New Life
After Lorenzo Romano left, Aurora walked Alex to his car.
She found it odd to send Alex to work for the first time. In her previous life, she was always in his car, following him wherever he went.
What she still found hard to believe was how this man transformed from a cold, indifferent person into the gentle and loving man he is today.
Since they decided to give their marriage a chance last night, he has become a new person in her eyes.
Aurora is still trying to adjust to his affectionate side, something she has never encountered while growing up alongside him.
She glanced at him standing beside her, but he appeared hesitant to walk to his car.
"Alex, are you waiting for something or not?" she inquired, but he didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he took her hand and pulled her close to him.
Aurora could only sigh silently while smiling faintly.
She wanted to remind him not to show too much affection toward her when others were around, but she paused when he finally tried to say something.
"Aurora, please... if you’re going somewhere, make sure Josh is with you and near you," Alex said, causing Aurora to stifle a laugh as she saw the worry flash in his eyes.
This isn’t the first time she has heard him repeat those words.
"I know, Alex. You’ve already told me nearly ten times!" she responded helplessly, staring at the car waiting for him and Alvin by the door.
Alex momentarily gazed into her lovely blue eyes before voicing his troubled thoughts, "Darn it! Should I cancel my trip? Why do I have to fly just as we start this..."
Aurora quickly interrupted him, saying, "Don’t think that way, Alex!"
She understands how much his company means to him.
Alex sighed deeply. He tightened his grip on her hand while his other hand pressed against his eyebrow, feeling frustrated.
He also didn’t know what had happened to him; he felt like someone else possessed his mind.
Or was this feeling simply because this girl made his mind not work properly? He didn’t understand.
What he understood was that everything about this girl attracted his curiosity.
"Alright, I have to go now..." Alex murmured, leaning in closer to her, making her heart race. Yet, she remained still, patiently waiting for him to take his next step.
When his warm lips finally pressed against hers, a delightful warmth surged through her veins, quickening her heartbeat to a thrilling rhythm as if it beat a mile per minute.
She felt his hands wrap around her, holding her close and steady.
After a few moments of passionate kissing, breathless and lightheaded, she placed her small hand against his chest, gently pushing him away.
Gasping for air, Aurora stared into his eyes, lost for words, as she desperately wanted to speak. She was simply gasping for air while trying to calm her chaotic mind and a racing heartbeat.
She couldn’t believe how bold Alex was to kiss her so passionately in front of everyone watching.
Looking into his eyes, which beamed with happiness, somehow warmed her heart. She completely set aside her intention to scold him.
Alex smiled softly as he gently patted the top of her head. "Be good, Aurora, and wait for me..." he said softly before turning toward his car.
Aurora’s eyes remained on Alex’s car as it gradually moved away from the front yard.
Her heartbeat quickened but settled once his car had entirely disappeared from view.
’Alex, you are so terrible! Why did you leave me like this?’ She expressed her frustration internally, her cheeks flushing as his warmth and intense kiss lingered in her thoughts.
...
Aurora finally returned to the house when her heartbeat had completely calmed down.
However, she was surprised to see Josh, Martin, and Tina standing near the doorway.
They seemed to be gossiping about something and didn’t even notice her walking towards them.
Aurora made an effort to stay quiet as she walked near them. However, she was surprised when she faintly heard what they were discussing.
She didn’t know whether to leave or stay and kept listening to their gossip about her and Alex.
"I can’t believe I’m only away for a few days, and their progress has happened this fast, huh!" Josh said. He was still surprised to see how bold his boss was kissing Aurora earlier.
And, just now, hearing Tina and Martin say Aurora had already moved into the master bedroom surprised him even more.
"Yeah, I still can’t believe it. Last night, my young madam officially moved into the master bedroom," Tina giggled, excited to share this good news.
"True! Too bad Master Alex must leave for a business trip," Martin said with a shrug.
Tina excitedly said, "I know, right? But it’s fine; at least they now show their attraction to each other like a husband and wife should. Next time you see Master, look at his eyes; you’ll see how in love Master Alex sees my young madam..."
"Yeah, Boss Alex is indeed in love. I never saw him like that when he was with his ex-wives!" Josh responded.
Martin agreed with Josh. "Agree with you. I also never saw him like that...."
"Oh, Martin, did you replace the bed?" Tina inquired, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him.
"Huh? What’s with the bed being replaced? Is Boss Alex’s bed broken?" Josh inquired.
"Hahaha..." Tina burst into laughter. She leaned towards Josh, urging him to come closer, and whispered. "Nah, Master Alex told me his bed is too large for him and his wife. That’s why he asked for a smaller one."
"No way!? Did Boss Alex actually say that?" Josh was speechless. He looked at Martin, seeking clarification with his eyes.
Somehow, Josh doubted Tina’s words. He knew for sure that his big boss was someone who would never think of something like that.
"Yeah, what Tina said is true. Boss Alex asked me to replace it for that reason. I already ordered the new bed, and they will arrive in one hour," Martin answered calmly.
Josh gasped in surprise.
Tina was giggling with happiness.
Aurora, who heard that, felt like lightning had struck her.
