Rebirth as The Billionaire's Seventh Wife-Chapter 116: Tell Him The Truth!
Chapter 116: Tell Him The Truth!
Aurora decided to inform Alex about her rebirth today.
But after waiting, there was no sign he would return soon.
Impatiently, she left her bedroom and decided to wait for him in the living room. On the first floor, she spotted Martin, who seemed to be in a hurry as he walked from the back door to the front entrance.
"What’s going on, Martin? Why do you look so rushed?" she asked.
"Young Madam," Martin halted his step and greeted her politely. "Master Alex’s car is just passing the main gate. I must hurry to greet him..." He explained, bowing slightly before continuing.
Hearing that Alex had finally returned, her inner tension heightened, and her hand felt cold. She slowly made her way to the seating area and sat there, waiting for him.
Aurora couldn’t understand why, but the feelings she now has seem unfamiliar—a blend of worry and fear she had never encountered in her past life.
’What if Alex won’t believe me? What if he thinks I’m crazy?’ These doubts, which had once held her back from being truthful with Alex, gradually returned in her mind.
The voices echo in her mind, trying to stop her from being honest with Alex again.
’No! Don’t stop me, please! I must be honest with him. This is my opportunity to be sincere...’ She fought against her doubts.
Aurora’s grip tightened upon hearing footsteps approaching. She turned her gaze just in time to see Alex walk in, with Martin following closely behind him.
She noticed worry radiating from his eyes as she saw him more closely.
When Alex saw her, he quickened his pace and approached her. "I apologize for keeping you waiting, Aurora. Let’s go to the dining room; our dinner is ready..." he said, stopping before her.
"It’s alright. I’m not hungry yet..." Aurora swallowed quietly. She wasn’t sure why, but her throat felt dry.
"Are you certain you’re not hungry?" Alex asked, frowning and narrowing his eyes at her. "But why do you seem a bit pale...?"
"Alex, we need to talk!" She grips her fist tightly and turns to find Martin close by. "Alone..." she continues, fixing her gaze on Alex as if asking him to send Martin away.
Seeing Aurora behave oddly, Alex swiftly requested Martin to give them some space before joining her.
As he observed her gaze more closely, he noticed a flicker of worry in her eyes. Suddenly, his mind was flooded with the memory of how he had absurdly hugged her.
He silently took a deep sigh before apologizing, "Aurora, I apologize for hugging you without permission. If it caused any misunderstanding, I’m here to clarify..."
"No, that’s not what I want to talk to you about, Alex," Aurora interrupted. "Please hear me out first," she added, noticing his frown.
Alex feels relieved that Aurora will not mention the awkward incident he caused earlier. Yet, he is curious about why she appears so tense. "Okay, you can speak..."
Summoning her courage, Aurora held her cold hands together and gazed at Alex calmly, despite the storm brewing within her. freewebnσvel.cѳm
"Alex, I understand how absurd this might seem, but I want to be completely honest with you. I’m Rory! After my accident, I found myself in the body of a young girl...this girl! What you see now is Aurora Spencer, but the soul inside her is actually me, Aurora Moon."
Aurora’s lips blossomed with a smile of relief as she finally revealed what had been haunting her thoughts since her rebirth in Aurora Spencer’s body.
However, her relieved smile gradually faded when she noticed Alex not moving. He seemed to be waiting for her to say something, and there was no visible reaction to the confession she had just shared.
’Wait! Alex didn’t hear me?’ she thought, confused.
"Alex? You heard what I’m saying, right? Why are you... didn’t respond?" she asked.
Confusion clearly appears in Alex’s eyes. He said, "What is it, Aurora? You didn’t say anything...you were only staring at me blankly..."
Aurora gasped in shock.
’What the hell! I talked so many words, but he didn’t hear? What the hell happened here?’ Confusion enveloped her.
"Alex, did you miss what I said earlier?" She felt her voice quiver as the terrifying thought consumed her mind.
"Of course I hear. You said: Alex, why are you... Didn’t respond?" he said.
Aurora felt a wave of cold blood rush through her as she realized what had happened. These strange things really drive her crazy now.
"No, Alex! I mentioned my rebirth. I told you I’m Aurora Moon, and somehow, my soul entered this girl’s body. Didn’t you hear me?" Aurora repeated her confession, increasingly anxious that her suspicion might be accurate.
"Aurora, you are acting oddly again. Why are you staring blankly at me?" Alex gently placed his hand on her shoulder, feeling concerned after noticing her silent stare. The look in her eyes was unusual; sadness lingered there.
Aurora felt as if lightning had struck her upon hearing his response, which confirmed her doubts.
’Oh my God! Are you serious? Why did you silence me when I was speaking the truth!? Why make things complicated now?’ Aurora was rendered speechless.
Alex’s worry deepened as he sensed her body growing colder and noticed the emptiness and sadness in her gaze more clearly. Her smile was filled with despair and an unsettling emptiness.
"Aurora, are you okay? Please respond," Alex urged, tightening his hold on her shoulders before continuing, "If you don’t answer me now, I will bring you to the hospital and get the doctor to check your health..."
"I’m fine," she finally found her voice. Her icy smile slowly turned warm as she tried to convince Alex she was alright.
Earlier, she was simply too shocked to learn the truth. God, or some higher power, has given her this second chance at life, ensuring she wouldn’t disclose the reality.
Alex’s gaze remained fixed on her, and he doubted it.
"I’m fine, Alex..."
"No, you’re not fine, Aurora," Alex said, wrapping her in his embrace. Within moments, he felt her body shiver. You can cry as much as you need," he whispered.
