In the sewer, Luo An was slowly climbing a steel rebar ladder.

He lifted the manhole cover to observe the surroundings and noticed he was between two warehouses. At the entrance of the warehouse diagonally opposite, two middle-aged white men were chatting and smoking with their backs to him.

Changing his perspective, he saw a familiar building in the distance. After recalling the map of Los Angeles in his mind, he deduced that this was probably a warehouse of a small movie prop manufacturing company in West Los Angeles.

Putting the manhole cover back, Luo An returned to the sewer and briefly described the situation above to Winslow and Anwar. Without waiting for Winslow and Anwar to offer suggestions for the next course of action, Luo An took out his phone and called Reesi:

"Our location is approximately at a company's warehouse in West Los Angeles. Is the SWAT team on the move?"

Reesi immediately replied over the phone:

"Currently at the hospital location! It'll take a minute to reach you!"

"Good."

Luo An nodded in satisfaction:

"Start the countdown, the operation will officially start in one minute and thirty seconds. If the enemy resists with force, you have permission to shoot to kill!"

"Understood!"

Seeing Luo An hang up the phone and command them to check their gear, Winslow and Anwar were initially bewildered. However, Winslow quickly had a flash of insight, and Anwar also understood a few seconds later. They both began to check the weapons on their bodies.

Luo An, who had been observing the two, slightly raised his eyebrows but remained silent.

The order to call in the SWAT team was something Luo An had discreetly issued to Reesi when he asked her to leave the alley earlier. Reesi, who had spent considerable time with Luo An, naturally understood the implications of his words.

Winslow and Anwar also saw the word "mole." The word's connotations of "spy" or "traitor" readily led them to wonder whether there was a mole within their Special Investigation Team.

The first reason Luo An had Reesi leave the alley was to call for SWAT team backup to ensure the smooth rescue of Chenier and Cooper.

The second reason was to ensure Reesi's safety. Since both Anwar and Winslow were new members of the Special Investigation Team, if one of them was a mole and acted against them in the sewer, Luo An was confident he could ensure his own safety, but he could not guarantee Reesi's safety with absolute certainty.

The third purpose was for Luo An to discern, by observing Winslow and Anwar's reactions in the sewer, whether there was indeed a mole among them.

Winslow, trying to prove he wasn't the mole, took the lead and walked at the very front, showing his back to his teammates to indicate he was clear, while also allowing Luo An the opportunity to take out Anwar on the spot should he prove to be the mole.

Anwar also realized this, but was a step slower than Winslow in trying to take the lead position.

To prove his innocence and to keep an eye on any unusual behavior from Winslow, Anwar did not suggest hanging back behind Luo An. Without a second thought, he positioned himself in the middle of the team, maintaining a vigilant stance ready to face any emergencies throughout the entire march.

During their trek in the sewer, Anwar and Winslow each had their own thoughts and objectives, and Luo An, bringing up the rear, saw everything clearly.

Coupled with his emotional perception, Luo An ruled out the possibility that either of them was the mole, and he was very pleased with their performances:

The new agents Luo An wanted were not brainless brutes who only knew how to charge forward.

Rather, he wanted agents who were clear-headed in critical moments, who could judge situations correctly and react appropriately.

During their movement through the sewer, Winslow and Anwar demonstrated excellent tactical proficiency and experience. They were also quick-witted, fully fitting the description of being both brave and shrewd.

The minute passed quickly, and Reesi and Luo An timed the countdown over the phone. Thirty seconds later, two SWAT team armored vehicles "banged" open the gate and rushed to the warehouse entrance.

A group of SWAT officers, wielding riot shields and rifles, advanced rapidly, shouting loudly:

"Hands up! Drop your weapons!"

"Drop your weapons! Get on the ground!"

"Left, left! Move quickly!"

On the other side, Luo An, Winslow, and Anwar, at exactly the one minute and thirty seconds predetermined time, also burst out of the sewer with their weapons at the ready.

The two middle-aged white men at the warehouse entrance were startled by the sudden action. Luo An didn't waste words with them and directly, with Winslow and Anwar's eyes trembling, threw two stun grenades towards the warehouse entrance.

Boom!

Boom!

The blinding light and deafening explosions immediately subdued the two guards as Luo An and his team followed closely behind the SWAT officers and charged into the interior of the warehouse.

Bang bang bang—

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Right side! Right side!"

"Drop your weapons!"

There were quite a few enemies inside the warehouse, but facing the members of the SWAT team armed to the teeth and blocking both the front and back doors of the warehouse, not many actually resisted with guns. Most threw their pistols aside, clasped their hands over their heads, and got down on the ground on their knees.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

After Luo An led Winslow and Anwar in shooting three enemies who retaliated with guns, they headed straight for the center of the warehouse, looking for their main targets, Chenier and Cooper.

In the center of the warehouse, there was a contraption resembling a gallows used as a movie prop, where Chenier and Cooper were bound by the hands, with the tips of their feet off the ground, tied up on it. Around them, there were three guys with knuckle dusters and clubs, and in front of them sat a middle-aged bald white man on a wooden crate prop, smiling broadly.

Before the SWAT team made their move, the bald man coughed and was preparing to speak when the abrupt shouting and explosion from outside caught him off guard.

The bald white man instinctively stood up and turned around to order his three subordinates to go and investigate the situation. Upon seeing this, Chenier immediately lifted her legs, flipped up, and hooked the transverse beam of the gallows with her legs, and then continued to flip over, sitting straight on top of the beam and quickly untying her bound hands with her teeth.

This scene left Cooper, who was also bound by the hands, dumbfounded. He had just been thinking about telling Chenier that this was a good opportunity to escape, but before he could speak, Chenier had already freed herself from the ropes.

The bald white man turned back in shock to see Chenier atop the gallows, unable to comprehend how she managed it. Are the women at the FBI all this capable now?

Surprise aside, the bald white man still swiftly raised his handgun and pulled the trigger at Chenier. A second before he fired, Chenier jumped from the top of the gallows towards a movie prop that resembled a door behind it.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The bald white man fired three shots. Due to distance and speed, Chenier successfully dodged two bullets, but the third hit her right leg.

Chenier frowned slightly, enduring the pain while rolling on the ground and ducking behind the door-like movie prop.

Upon seeing this, the bald white man cursed loudly, hurried to the side of the gallows, and fired several more shots at the position where Chenier was hiding behind the movie prop. As a result, it collapsed and Chenier's figure disappeared from view.

"This damn snitch!"

The bald white man's face turned even uglier as he turned his head and saw Cooper still struggling with the ropes by his side.

Seeing the bald white man's attention shift to him, Cooper's mouth twitched, and he stopped moving, his face slowly revealing a rigid smile:

"We can negotiate terms."

"Negotiate, you %$#&..."

The bald white man's face turned even angrier upon hearing this, and he immediately lifted his handgun towards Cooper.
