I Will Survive Till The End: Blood Extermination Academy-Chapter 78: A Quaint Stroll
Chapter 78: A Quaint Stroll
Arc 2, Chapter 78 — A quaint Stroll.

Knowledge, they say, is Power.
But what power does one wield with such information, can be interpreted in a variety of ways.
The more Levon and others analyzed, the more paralyzed they felt.
Winhest had not said a lot, yet their minds had woven countless thoughts about their futures.
"There’s another thing we can draw out," Levon continued. "If we’ll be fighting against some people from last year, this means they at some point lived where we are living."
"That’s possible." Rayna agreed, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. "Then does that mean that in a year’s time, we too might be moved?"
Isn’t that all just so very confusing?
This was the summary of everything she speculated:
—Firstly, they can only remain Bloodren 10s for a maximum of 8 years; after which, if they fail to advance to Bloodren 9, they get permanently sent out to the other lesser Battle-oriented Departments.
—Secondly, they can only get a punishment period of a Maximum of 2 years. After their total punishment time goes above 2 years, they’ll be automatically transferred to other departments before the 8-year time is over.
—Lastly, They can only stay in their current Mansion for 1 year, before getting sent somewhere else. Don’t get them wrong, they will still be Bloodren 10s. But do you think they’ll be allowed to sit in wait in this Mansion for the span of 8 years? Rayna and the others speculated that this mansion was only there for Newbies who hadn’t made up to 1 year in the Order.
These 2 points made everyone’s skin crawl with anxiety. .
"Hmm... I think it should more or less be this way."
"How long have we already stayed in the mansion?"
"Well, it took us 3 weeks before our first Night drill. Then we got punished for a month adding another 4 weeks... It’s only been a week and a half since we got back from Punishment. So I’d say a little over 2 months... That’s how long we’ve been here." Leo calculated.
This meant they had at most 9 months and 3 weeks to make progress or they get sent out to another mansion, making way for next year’s newbies.
Everyone nodded, finding it amusing and a little unnerving—perhaps because they were overly comfortable with the mansion they now called Home.
"I don’t think they’ll mean well by doing this." Levon shrugged.
After one year, their residential situation will definitely be downgraded, despite them still being Bloodren 10s.
Well, Levon had to admit he got goosebumps, the good kind, when thinking of how brutally competitive this place was turning out to be.
’How interesting...’ He thought, unwrapping his favorite strawberry lollipop and throwing it in his mouth.
Levon found that places like this, that pushed him to his core, made living and breathing, all worth it.
Was this what it felt to be truly alive?
.
.
"My, my, my," Winhest spoke softly, finding the excitement from the crowd to be quite intoxicating. Well, it almost washed over his anger from earlier... Almost.
Each and everyone one of them in here, was looking forward to the Bloodren competitions. He could almost taste their competitiveness in the air.
"As I’ve earlier mentioned, Phase 1 will more less be a ranking competition. But why is it important?"
"The points to each receive after your Phase 1 competitions, will be tallied up for Phase 2 –Group Battles."
But will the group battles be against other groups or with vampires and other enemies? Or will the group battles be a chance to go through some bizarre obstacle course like the entrance examinations?
Winhest didn’t dive deep into it. For now, his primary focus was on Phase 1.
And just like that, their Lecture time came to an end... or so they thought.
"Dismissed!.. Now, follow me."
"_"
Winhest was walked out of the class, leaving the matter of the Bloodren competitions weighing heavily in everyone’s hearts.
They thought today’s class would fall short as usual. But who knew Winhest would take them out for a ’stroll’?
"Hey, what’s up with this guy?"
"Unscientific!" Many grumbled.
"He doesn’t even like staying for the full 15 minutes of Lecture time with us. And now, he’s offering to take us for a stroll?"
"Yeah, it’s too weird. This guy typically gives, on average, 2~5 minute lectures."
"No... Don’t forget that he said he was taking us for a stroll and not a lecture."
If it was a lecture, Winhest wouldn’t have emphasized the fact that they were going for a stroll.
Again, they had but one thing to make of all this – UNSCIENTIFIC! fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Several people spoke on Winhest’s oddity, wondering what he was up to.
They left the building, walking in the vast outdoor plains surrounding the enormous pentagon-shaped building their classroom was situated in.
Outside, Victorio and his group seemed to be waiting.
Levon found it was amazing how long it felt since he last saw Victorio.
Despite living in the same residential site, they were now worlds apart.
It should be said that even while their lecture time was reduced to 7 minutes, Winhest still used only about 30 seconds~4 minutes of those times for lectures. However, the case is not true for Victorio’s group.
Winhest himself has stated that he uses at an at-least 12 minutes guaranteed time out of the 20 minutes promised to that special group.
Why? Because Victorio’s group were his precious students, while they were just piles of garbage to him.
Victorio’s group attended classes every 2 days, while they attended classes every 3 days. Everyone also found out that Victorio’s group were the only ones who could use a specific training room within the enormous residential building.
It’s said that only after mastering a certain training technique, can they open the doors into that place.
So with all the obvious differences between him and them, it was no wonder that Levon felt he had not seen them for ages.
They slowly followed along, but said nothing. However, seeing them here made everyone think of the Bloodren competitions.
Without Winhest confirming it, they knew Victorio’s group would also join the competitions.
.
.
With everyone now outside, Winhest moved his hands swiftly so fast they could hardly see after images.
Levon’s lashes fluttered when seeing several giant paper planes appear before them.
As a kid, everyone has made paper planes once or twice in their lives, sometimes even putting small paper men, stones or pebbles on them to see how well they fly.
Never in his life had he foreseen he would one day get to ride on the wings of these giant sized paper planes.
"Get on," Winhest commanded coolly.
Levon’s heart drummed wildly, an innate prehistoric feeling brooding in his heart. It wasn’t just him, as many felt the same way when staring at the majestic paper planes before them.
’So huge...’ Shugo crunched his snack with wide googly eyes filled with desire. Suddenly, he felt like a 3-year old again.
The paper planes were far bigger than they expected, especially when getting on.
35 people could sit on a single plane, some in the dipped center line, and some on both sides of the wings.
Up, up, up and away they went.
They were so high in the sky, feeling the dampness of coolness of the atmosphere.
Again, they had to wonder just how massive this place was, as it stretched out for as far as the eyes could see in all directions.
It was a Wonderland, with mysteries in all directions, waiting for them to unravel.
Uncharted territories, forbidden regions... towering hills and mountain peaks that made them yearn for exploration.
But as of now, they were still too weak to go exploring the great beyond trapped within the Order’s space.
Wow!
Everyone felt they were going at incredible speeds, close to aircraft speed. It was just too fast, and too aerodynamically chilling.
Who can tell them why a paper plane could go faster than any commercial aircraft?
Everyone secretly looked at Winhest, wondering what his sudden generosity was all about. Normally, they would have been forced to use their abilities to keep themselves in place, as well as stop wind, bugs, and other objects from coming their way when traveling at such incredulous speeds.
But Winhest was already taking care of it.
The paper planes had strange paper propellers that worked like tentacles, swishing and flicking any objects away. It also worked overtime to disperse the wind, giving the illusion they were in an actual aircraft.
No matter how they looked at it, there was no true Scientific explanation to why an engine-less paper mechanism with tentacle propellers could fly so fast and for so long in the air.
Imagine a jungle plane traversing swiftly across a vast jungle, but only faster.
They seemed to be traveling at an insane and impossible speed, which resulted in the journey lasting for 20 minutes tops .
Then, they felt the aircraft’s descent, knowing they had arrived.
This... This... This...
Levon’s jaws dropped and closed again and again, not able to utter a single word.
Just what is this place?
