Arc 2, Chapter 73 — The end... Is near.

Well, everyone now had goosebumps.
The Information they learned from this 5-minute battle, was something they wouldn’t forget in a hurry.
The battle was a symphony of chaos and destruction as Winhest danced with the Ghoul in a mesmerizing performance. He worked with surgical precision, blowing their minds to smithereens.
It would be a lie to say they weren’t awed by Winhest’s flawlessness.
The students watched in reverence as he tore through every attack with ease. Strengths, weaknesses... they saw it all. It also allowed something to understand why Winhest scores them the way he did during the Pop quiz.
For those who chose this creature to sketch and write on, a lot more things became clearer to them.
Twin Neck Ghouls...just like all Level 1 Ghouls, have long claws, longer limbs, falling body parts and fangs.
But what truly made them different was the hardness of their chest, their twin necks and the hole on one neck.
According to Winhest, the position of the Black Hole changes. This is something they never even considered.
Another important thing to note is that once a Twin necks Ghoul advances to a Level 2 Ghoul, its neck merges and becomes more normal, like that of a regular human’s.
It can still detach its neck at that stage. However, things became far more difficult for Bloodrens like them to find its black hole—the link to its heart.
Of course, while Winhest’s battle was impressive, some like the arrogant girl from earlier, still scoffed,
"5 minutes? That’s it? I can deal with one of them in far less time!" She arrogantly muttered.
—And just then, as if on cue, several other red light lights flickered.
Then, everyone watched 300 more Twin Neck Level 1 Ghouls appear.
They expected the battle to take even longer. So when it ended in barely 2 seconds, one could understand why their jaws were slightly dropped to the ground.
This...
This...
"_"
This... this... this...
The room fell silent as the last ghoul disintegrated into dust.
300 in 2 seconds....
Imagine how long it would take to eradicate tens and thousands of Level 1 Ghouls?
The fight replayed in their minds over and over again, many coated in thick layers of sweat after witnessing the power mutative abilities behind Winhest’s sharded Paper.
Levon swore that he only blinked once and everything turned to dust when he reopened his eyes.
If he could recall, before the attack, as the Ghouls rushed towards their target, he heard Winhest’s voice echo.
"Now, now, you little lovelies... This I’ll only hurt for a second."
Winhest had stood there like a creature of the night, transforming his sharded papers into countless shadows that enveloped the ghouls.
They swirled like unholy bats, causing the ghouls to flinch in terror.
–And then... that was it.
It happened in 2 seconds, and Levon still didn’t understand how he did it.
However, after the paper shards scoured away, all everyone could see was Winhest standing amidst the ashes, with a charming smile stretched on his lips.
"Typically, it would take 1 milliseconds and even less, to eradicate them all... However, I still managed to drag out for 3 seconds... so you can all see better. Look... aren’t I good?"
"_"
"That being said, the first 5-minute battle was so exhaustingly boring." So no one should expect any more excessive explanations from him.
The disgust on Winhest’s face was obvious. He detested fighting such weak entities like these Level 1 Ghouls. He managed to drag it out for minutes the first time... and also managed to drag it out for 3 seconds the second time.
Normally, he could deal with thousands in milliseconds... Typically he was so fast that one might think he could freeze and unfreeze time during his battles against such weak entities.
Ugh~
So disgusting.
Winhest was now in a foul mood.
Soon, they left the viewing room, following Winhest back the way they came and choosing another tunnel that led them to the 2nd type.
Today, they’ll be going through all 6 types.
... It’s just that with Winhest being in a foul mood, it’s hard to say whether they would be getting all ’necessary’ explanations from him like he did with the first.
Fufufufufu~
Levon chuckled softly.
Well, his future sure was bright... and somewhere, somehow down the line, he must take on Winhest one-on-one.

—A land, far, far away—
.
Din. Din. Din. Din~
The sound of footsteps echoed across the hallowed hallways.
The owner of these footsteps took their sweet time, walking through the path. And in a distant space connecting to this hallway, several others sat.
Within the room elegantly adorned with rich tapestries, the flickering candles crafted long shadows across the stone walls.
"Took you long enough, Duke Thaddeus." The speaker was a portly figure with a perpetual smirk. "With how long we’ve waited, I was beginning to think, you were DEAD."
"You’d wish that, wouldn’t you." Duke Thaddeus let out a darkly amused snicker, as he unhurriedly took to his seat along the table.
Well, he was surrounded by familiar faces, each a fearsome vampire in their own right.
Now that he was here, they began their meeting—the true reason why they all gathered.
"The Emperor is awake, as many of you are probably aware." The speaker was a female Vampire with a black hat and veil dropped over the hat.
Her veil was only long enough to cover her eyes and her nose, leaving her plump lips exposed to all those who looked her way.
What a temptress....
Her Long red nails were a stark contrast to her overly pearly white skin, and her overall demeanor was aristocratic.
"Our previous crusade against the church ended in defeat." Archduchess Passima continued. "Fortunately, it was not in vain."
"That’s true," Another added. "The Vatican and his maggot Organization are indeed forces to be reckoned with... However, the problem with humans is that they feed off victory."
"A problem for them you mean." Duke Thaddeus mused. "It’s a little cute how they think the last few crusade victories were of their own volition."
Did the humans win on their own... or were they allowed to win?
Fufufufufufu~
Everyone haunting crackles in amusement.
"Indeed, if we didn’t let them win... how could we get to this stage?"
Archduchess Passima stretched her nails in a terrifying manner, squishing the spider that crawled on their table.
"They think of themselves as invincible. But even invincibility has his limits."
The spider squirmed and struggled, dying in agony by Passima’s hands.
"Zion..." Passima muttered. "We’ve found out Zion—the one with boundless darkness and logic beyond our imaginations.
A dark light flickered through Passima’s pupils.
Zion’s awakening was proving slower than anticipated. However, it won’t be long before he’s ready for his emergence into the world. By then...
"It won’t be long before our Last Crusade begins, right?"
"Hmm." Passima nodded. "By then, the end will come... the end to All Human Supremacy."
