"Thanks..."
"Hmmm." Artilla nodded calmly. She then thinned her lips softly," You’re welcome."
The rescued girl suddenly understood that she had misunderstood Artilla before.
She wasn’t rude or stuck-up, but just didn’t know how to communicate properly with strangers.
Looking at Artilla’s obvious discomfort, the rescued girl chuckled.
"Rayna Claymore..." She introduced.
She was quite a tall girl.
Sweeping her gaze across the group, she smiled truthfully—No disdain, no hidden intentions.
"At the start of our first class, Winhest stated that we need a minimum of 5 people per registered team. The deadline is coming up soon."
Yeah!
Everyone’s eyes jerked.
That’s right, they need a team of at least 5 people. How could they forget?
That matter has always been at the back of their mind.
"Originally, I was part of a team of 7. But–" Rayna paused, hatred flashing through her pupils. "After tonight, I don’t think I’ll be able to go on with them. So, can I join your team?"
Rayna spoke specifically to Levon, knowing he was the leader of the group.
All indications said so.
Just look at how the other 3 turned their attention to him when she mentioned the matter of teams.
Levon only hesitated for a second before agreeing.
They were already running out of time. They just got their 4th member tonight, which was Leo.
So it wasn’t a bad thing to get their 5th moment, quickly before someone snatches them up.
’As it stands, many avoided our group because of me— the proclaimed Trash.’ Levon thought.
So what’s the probability that after turning Rayna down, they’ll get another chance for someone else to join?
Besides, he also didn’t think Rayna was all bad. She might be a little full of herself, but if Artilla could actively make a move to rescue her, it showed she had some redeeming qualities of her own.
Never think Artilla was a miss goodie-two-shoes.
Artilla said it herself once, that she watched servants and countless people in her clan drown and get torn apart by Crocodiles growing up.
They sinned against the clan and were punished for it. That was the sort of environment a person from an ancient ancestral Ninja clan lived in.
Artilla herself was cold by nature. And even during the examination 2, she had casually walked over dead bodies, using them as platforms.
She had obvious cruelty to her. Yet, there also was an innocence about Artilla that outshone the darkness around her.
Artilla never looked for trouble. But if it came her way, she would ruthlessly deal with it.
It was also fascinating how clueless she could be clueless about the ways of the world and youthful society, but would not flutter an eyelash at the sight of someone drowning.
If you do bad, shouldn’t you be punished?
Artilla... She was Innocence wrapped in a blanket of darkness.
She was a lone vibrant lily, forced to grow up around poisonous weeds.
That was the best way Levon could describe her.
.
.
Well, the little reunion didn’t last for long.
It’s only been a minute 2 minutes since they were allowed to catch their breaths, before—
[Warning, Warning... Unless all enemies are eradicated, the sealed windows and doors will not come undone.]
In other words, they’ll be trapped in here until then.
Isn’t that just flipping great.
"Well, you heard the voice." Leo stated, spinning his sharded card on a finger.
"Yeah." Shugo reached for his chest pocket, throwing 10 candy snacks into his mouth.
His snacks have special attributes to them. One never knows when it will come in handy.
In their nightwear, the group took deep breaths.
"Tonight, all enemies must be eradicated or we’ll be going nowhere. I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t want to be trapped here with these foul stinking ghouls!"
The smell from these ghoul 1s were really bad.
"Everyone ready?"
"Yeah!"
"Alright." Levon nodded at Shugo, who withdrew the giant fork that was keeping the door sealed.
1... 2... 3....
FIGHT!
Like so, they joined the battle outside the room.
Bang!
The battle was raging.
There, EVERYONE was engaged in battle, some handling matters with ease, and others getting kicked, pushed and sent flying.
(Snore...)
Florian in her sleep, was dancing with her giant scissors that were now enlarged to the size of a couch. It was twice her height with blades incredibly thick and shard too.
Swish!
Her actions were precise and deadly. And by her side were: Yimu with her giant card—a king of Diamond, and Rita with her deadly needle that grew several times in size, pinning 3 and even 6 ghouls to the ground whenever she shot it forth.
Hmph!
Yimu scoffed. "Piece of cake."
Hendrix enlarged his fountain pen, using it to write on the floor. And what marveled those who watched, was that should these ghouls cross the only paths, their bodies exploded, as though the ink was a ticking time bomb waiting to go out.
A simple Fountain pen shard was so awesome?
Hendrix pushed his glasses back, now seated on a 2-dimensional stool crafted from ink. In his hand, a book.
"What a waste of reading time." Hendrix flicked his page, allowing the giant pen to dance on its own without assistance.
Payne Ignier, the macho boy, slammed his fists, allowing a sonic wave to echo out from his brass knuckles.
GRAAAHHHH~
Countless Ghouls flew back, but had no time to react when getting her hearts smashed out of their chests.
F***!
Why so strong for a beginner?
Victorio lazily leaned against a wall, while his Executioner Sword moved like an enchanted weapon.
~Slash, slash, slash, slash.
This... This...
’As expected, the top bosses are not to be trifled with.’
Many inwardly noted, after seeing the ease with which they felt with ghoul after ghoul.
It almost seemed as though their strength was Infinite. And all this made Levon, Shugo, Leo, Artilla and even Rayna, feel their blood boiling.
"Feel tired?"
"Fufufufufu~... Brother Levon, what are you saying? I suddenly feel like I can go all night."
Artilla smirked.
Well, her performance earlier seemed disappointing.
Rayna nodded too.
How could they fall into the temptation of fatigue so soon? When the mind is weak, the body is weak.
Now, they felt so pumped up, without fatigue at all. How do you explain this?
Time to DANCE.
