Chapter 160: The Magic Words

Arc 3, Chapter 160 —The Magic Words

Yes~... where would they be if they didn’t join the Church?

One must never think that just because Hendrix and a few made them seem dumb... they weren’t that useless.

In fact, they would probably come to the same conclusion as Hendrix and the others after a few trails and stumbles along the way.

The difference between them and the others, is that they were somewhat slower in grasping key concepts. But this doesn’t mean they won’t get it.

It’s just that by the time they understood these principles, people like Hendrix grasped it in a matter of seconds and sometimes minutes or a day or 2.

People like Hendrix would be 10 steps ahead of them before they could take one step forward.

That was just how the world was. Some are better than others and that’s a fact.

...

CLASS TIME!

The group headed into class and took their seats, not expecting WINHEST not to show. This guy has missed 3 lectures in a row.

So of course they had no faith in him! But today he surprisingly showed up at the very start of the class, causing their jaws to drop.

’0’

Who are you and what have you done with their instructor?

"Well now, boys and girls, I see you missed me quite a bit." WINHEST shamelessly announced his presence in the same irksome manner they were used to.

"Get on your desks," WINHEST advised. "Today, I’m in a good mood, so I’ll give you just 2 minutes of additional assistance... Look, am I not kind?"

Levon rolled his eyes heavenwards, wondering if WINHEST didn’t understand the meaning of the word: Instructor.

Isn’t it your job to teach them in the first place? So why are you acting as if you’re doing them some big favor?

Batista, Bloomingdale and several Older Bloodrens also looked to the ceiling helplessly. Yet no one dared to utter a word in retort.

If you say you’re Kind, then you’re kind. Who are they to say anything otherwise?

Seated on their desks with cross legs, they closed their eyes and listened to WINHEST’s teachings in deep focus.

"Everything in life has energy... even a stagnant rock." WINHEST began.

"But what many fail to understand is that energy also has its unique rhythm and vibrations."

"So to fully grasp the Origin Breathing technique, you must synchronize your body to that of your surroundings."

"And to that, you have to... Oops. It looks like your 2 minute-mark is up."

"_"

"Well, that’s it for today."

"_"

That’s it? Just when you’re getting to the good part, you say that’s it? Many opened their eyes, staring at WINHEST’s disappearing silhouette with raw hatred.

"Well, I guess that’s it."

Several people jumped off their desks and left the classroom. However, Levon and a few others remained. Sure enough, at the last minute mark, WINHEST appeared again.

"By the way," WINHEST’s head popped into the classroom. "We won’t meet again for the next 3 classes. So I’m giving you... just everyone present in the room, a PASS chance to stay away.... Class Dismissed!"

Finally he said it: Class Dismissed!

Those were the words... one of the few only words that meant a great deal in every of Winhest’s lectures.

The foolish ones had left earlier when Winhest skedaddled out. They left, but Levon, the special ones, and a few others, were comfortable without so much as lifting a butt-cheek.

Sure enough, their hunch proved right.

Without the magical words, it meant Winhest wasn’t done with them.

With his reemergence, he proclaimed there would be no classes for the next 3 lecture dates.

One thing they found fascinating was his Granted Permission for them not to bother showing up for the next 3 class dates.

Typically Winhest wouldn’t care if one showed up for his class or not. That being said, for him to actually not to show up, meant he was setting a trap for those who left earlier.

Levon had a hunch that should those who left earlier not appear in Winhest’s next lectures, they might get more punishment thrown their way. Who were they to leave when he hadn’t dismissed them yet?

If they left earlier and he didn’t show up on that day, that would be okay. But... He has already shown up. And like a dog, they must sit in wait until their ’owner’ tells them to go, jump, run, or roll.

In a sense, this also shows how slow to detail and understanding they were compared to Levon’s group.

When has he ever let them out without those magic words?

In truth some who left earlier, felt it wasn’t right for them to leave. They were uncomfortable, not knowing exactly why. But seeing as the crowd was leaving, they decided to bottle up their unease and follow along.

Yet, even then, they still paused, made a U-turn back and arrived just in time to hear Winhest’s words.

Dammit!

They were furious at themselves. Why did they not just follow their intuition rather than following the crowd?

???????

Many had no tears but wanted to cry.

—Time.

That’s a factor everyone treasures.

With the Phase 2 competitions underway, they had better use of their time other than going to a lecture they knew Winhest wouldn’t attend.

First off, it takes hours to go back and forth from the Mansion to the Lecture Room. What’s more, after returning, there is the internal struggle of who gets to use the training rooms.

Make no mistake, some people use these training rooms for 5~6 hours, hugging the damn place all to themselves.

Some training rooms are better equipped, while others just allow them to do basic training like boxing and doing pushups. But if you really want to enhance your Shards abilities, you’ll have to fight for the Booths within the special training rooms.

Once in, you can lock yourself for a maximum of 7 hours, solely training.

In there, although you’ll be able to strengthen your shard’s abilities, your killer instincts and strength will also grow. It’s impossible to push just your Shard’s ability for 7 hours straight.

Impossible, you’ll break!

How to say it?—There, for the first 30 seconds to 50 minutes, many improve their shard’s ability. Then they spend the next few hours stabilizing their new found strength, mastering it and understanding what potentials they’ve unlocked.

They don’t even notice how much time has passed while in those training chamber booths.
