Chapter 161: Her Special Surprise

Winhest, Winhest, Winhest...
Many cursed in their hearts, knowing they’d fallen into Winhest’s naughty list. Now, they’ve lost time to train while gaining potential Punishment time too.
Terrible.
They sucked in air, swearing that after struggling to pass the Phase one competitions and make it this far, they will NEVER allow themselves to fall into punishment during this fragile period.
Dispersing, some people headed for lunch, others headed out to who-knows-where, while a majority headed straight Home.
Levon enlarged his katana, allowing Rayna, Artilla, Leo and Shugo hop on. Many also did the same, flying towards the estate. But when they saw Clara at the mansion’s doors with a slight grin, their faces cracked.
’What is it this time?’
In the eyes of many, Clara was a bringer of bad news. What good has ever come out of this Witch?
Both old and new Bloodren 10s felt a burst of frenzied emotions stab at their chests.
Everyone got off their rides at the Estate’s gates before walking in through the grand clearing filled with chiseled rocks, gardens... and beauty.
Clara waved at them vigorously, like a sweet 5-year-old kid. Her expression was full of innocence. But after seeing what this she-devil could do, nothing... not even their eyeballs could deceive them into thinking she was innocent!
Her goons had their hands wrapped behind their backs, moving in 2 unison lines like machines.
It seemed they were leaving?
Levon frowned. Too suspicious.
’What exactly did they do when we were away?’
...
"What’s the matter? Not happy to see me?" Clara tilted her head cutely. And despite her peculiar hairstyle that covered the majority of her face and eyes... her lips showed the right amount of innocence that could melt the heart of any ordinary man.
Everyone was silent, looking at Clara in deep scrutiny. ’What is she up to now?’
Fufufufufufu~
Clara was in a good mood. "Come now, little babies. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you took me for some Grim Reaper with the way you’re looking at me... Unfortunately, you’re wrong this time."
’Unfortunately?’ Many inwardly retorted. ’So you admit you enjoy being one, right?’
Clara shrugged innocently. "Little babies, whether you believe it or not... this time I came to present some gifts—gifts from the Order.
As she spoke, she calmly walked by them, waving without looking back as she left the estate.
(Silence)
The group stood in place in knee-deep silence until they could no longer see the silhouettes of Clara and her goons who took off on shards.
’Her goons were not carrying anything... So it’s likely not some substitutional gift.’ Levon concluded.
In no time, everyone woke from their thoughts, their feet obediently leading them in.
"Buddy, everything still looks the same to me." Shugo muttered, looking back and forth, left and right, up and down, just to get a clue. But there were no changes around this grand open entrance Hall.
"We have to check." Levon advised.
"That’s right!" Leo nodded. "There’s no way she’ll say there’s a gift if there ain’t one."
"What about our rooms?" Artilla suggested.
"Yeah!" Rayna agreed. "If you want to give someone a gift, the best place to do it in in the person’s room or their Lockers, right?"
"Go." Levon and the gang sprung out, alongside others, kicking their feet and jumping unnaturally high to the railings on the 2nd floor, and then the railings on the 3rd and 4th floors.
The gang momentarily separated: the boys checking their room and girls doing the same.
"Nothing." They concluded. It still all looked the same to them.
"If it’s not the rooms, then it has to be something else."
With that, the gang moved together, exploring every corner of the mansion. But it wasn’t just them.
Soon they realized that a NEW training site had been opened.
"Over here," one of the Bloodren 10s exclaimed, calling out the attention of many nearby, including Levon’s team. They were now in one of the the far North East corners of the Mansion, standing in an open hallway.
"Hey, check it out! I can beat my toenails that this path wasn’t here before!"
"Me too!" Another added. "I can walk this place blindfolded and backwards, knowing every door in this path. But this... This one’s new."
"Hey, where do you think it’ll lead to?"
"There’s only one way to find out, right?"
There was a momentary pause as everyone stared at the door that appeared from nowhere.
’This must be the gift, Clara mentioned.’ Levon concluded.
Hendrix, Payne, Batista, the sleepy Florianna, Natalia, and many had also gathered behind his team after noticing the commotion.
Levon shrugged, pushing through the rambling Bloodrens ahead.
Being cautious is good and all, but if you’re not going to open it, then stand aside and let someone else do it. They don’t have all day, right?
Even if Levon didn’t step forward, people like Hendrix, Yimu, Gorgendoyle and many other special Bloodrens would do the same.
...
Click~
The door opened, revealing a thick, sturdy stone brick staircase leading downwards. And the moment the door opened, lights came on, revealing the stairway to be wet and damp.
Unraveling a lollipop, Levon threw it into his mouth and walked down with his hands in his pockets. His team followed behind him coolly, as did several others who were less cautious than before.
Perhaps because they felt no good could come from Clara, they were skeptical about this so-called gift.
Levon felt they must have been descending for 13 minutes now on the staircase. And at the end of their little excursion, they finally found the Gift Clara spoke of.
Wow~
The space they stood in looked so similar to an enchanted cavern with an enormous pool at its center. Truthfully, it looked more like a small lake. That was how vast it seemed.
The cavern’s walls and ceilings were over 6 stories tall, making the space even more grand.
"So it’s a pool, huh?" Yimu giggled, while checking the polish coatings on her nails. They were old in her eyes, thus could be damaged.
Good...
