I Will Survive Till The End: Blood Extermination Academy-Chapter 151: New Discoveries
Chapter 151: New Discoveries
Arc 3, Chapter 151 — New Discoveries
.
.
What an eventful day.
Their bodies still quaked even in their sleep. They had a feeling of being trapped, with their bodies constricting time and time again on its own.
Have you ever seen a vein appear on the tip of your pig toe? Well, they HAVE!
When their bodies constricted, all veins seemed to move like worms, showing how intense everything was.
Ugh~
The pain was something else.
Many went to bed, hissing with every turn and twitch they took. It was even worse at night.
When moving about during the day with a busy mind, the pain came and went, and wasn’t this pronounced. But now when trying to sleep, it suddenly decided all over their bodies without mercy.
In a flash, 3 days went by just like that. Today, they rose to their feet and headed for their 7-minute class. WINHEST was right. After 3 days, they felt no more pain.
Smile, smile, smile... They were in better moods because of this.
Seated in the auditorium, time ticked by infinitely. And before they knew it, 6 minutes out of their 7-minute class time was GONE.
Levon had black lines on his forehead. Was this guy not going to show up today?
The last remaining minute was already counting down. And when there was only 10 seconds left, WINHEST finally showed.
He popped his head into the classroom, his body still hiding in the hallways.
Then, he looked around, left to right, right to left... up and down... before releasing a broad grin.
"Class Dismissed!" with that, he was gone.
"_"
Son of a FISH!!!
Veins protruding on everyone’s forehead was predominant.
"So in other words we have to wait 3 more days for another Lecture again?"
"Dammit. This guy is just too annoying. Once I make it big, I’ll be the first to beat him so hard his Mother won’t be able to recognize him!"
So hateful!
"What a waste of time. If I knew, I would have gone back Home after Breakfast!"
"Yeah! This guy is just too callous and casual with his teachings."
Grumbling endlessly, the group moved their butts and headed back Home to do their own things.
Some opted not to head back now, venturing into the many forest regions and structures on their own.
Time trickled even faster after that... with more and more days passing by.
Another day for classes came and WINHEST didn’t even bother to show up. At the end of his class, his Shard paper stormed through the door, magnifying itself in a cube.
Then, they saw a few words inked on the floating cube of Paper.
[ I’m in a Bad Mood... Class Dismissed. ]
"_"
Good mood... Bad mood... what did it have to do with them?
You were told to teach a class, so why don’t you just BLOODY teach already? Why are you so hell-bent on driving them crazy?
TWO LECTURES!... That’s 2 lectures in a row that this guy purposely missed.
In the classroom, everyone had unnatural expressions.
Levon looked to the skies and sighed. There are times that he as well wished he could take a stake and stock it in his throat multiple times. But then again... who were they to complain?
In the face of true power, they could only take wherever it is WINHEST throws their way.
Levon shrugged. No need getting himself worked up like many others around him.
Back at home, they practiced more, Focusing on both Shard Stability and The Original Breathing Technique. freewёbnoνel.com
At first, everyone could only sense their surroundings ONLY when they had their eyes CLOSED. But after almost a week, they could peer into this technique with their eyes OPEN.
That being said, Levon, who learnt about this technique a while back, was far ahead of them in terms of understanding.
In the bath, Shugo, Leo and Levon were soaking with ease. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the air was full of steam from the many perfectly heated pools. The waters did a good job of calming their tightened muscles. It was so soothing that they felt tempted to take a nap in it.
"Hey guys..." Shugo called out in a relaxed tone. "Have you noticed that after OBT Training, we can also stay longer underwater than before?"
{ OBT stood for Origin Breathing Technique...That was the slang many Bloodren 10s called it. }
"Really? Your underwater time has increased after OBT training?" Leo’s eyes widened, disbelief written all over him. Even Levon didn’t know this fact.
With tactful stares, the gang sank themselves deeper into the waters in wait.
2 minutes... 3 minutes... 6 minutes.... 7 minutes... This was insane!
Even with their earlier supernatural strength, they still could only stay under water for at most a few seconds more than they typically would.
Now, it was important to bear in mind that the world champion in the outside world, could hold his breath underwater for 26 minutes, 14 seconds.
Still, for they whole have never had any professional training of that level before, it was insane to see how incredible their lung capacity had grown in under a few days.
Poouf~
They shot out, coughing hard with crooked smiles.
"8 minutes... 11 seconds!" Shugo announced after shooting out.
"10 minutes 54 seconds!" Leo shot out of the water later.
"17 minutes, 23 seconds!" Levon shot out a long time later, after Leo and Shugo were deep in conversation.
They only felt it was natural that Levon progressed so much, seeing as he was the first amongst them to grasp the concept behind the Origin Breathing Technique.
Both Leo and Shugo clenched their fists, knowing there was still a lot of improvement for them.
Others eavesdropping, also attempted to see what their progress underwater was. And without knowing it, time had already spiraled well into the later part of the day.
"Oops, we better get out of here. It’s almost Lights OUT."
"Yeah."
With that, the gang headed to their room for a good night’s rest.
However, an hour into their slumbering party, a chilling premonition bellowed and their eyes swung wide open.
NIGHT DRILL!
.
.
They say darkness comes when one least expects it.
DAMMIT.
In the heat of battle, many recalled just how it all began.
The night... oh, the sweet night... was as calm as it usually was. After joking around and saying their goodnights, the Bloodrens slipped underneath their sheaths and began snoring soundly.
That was it. They were in a slumber town, blissfully unaware of the chaos about to unfold.... Yet, they weren’t so defenseless.
In such a place, who can truly sleep without one eye open? Levon stirred in his bed, his instincts prickling in heat.
SOMETHING WASN’T RIGHT!
GRaaaaaaa~
A deafening crash shattered the silence, causing Levon, Leo, and Shugo to jerk.
Boom!
The door to their dorm burst right open as many unnatural figures poured in—Ghouls, but not just the mindless husks they had faced in the past.
No... some of these ghouls, they recognized... to NOT be amongst Level 1s and 2s... So could it be Level 3?
Levon swung his Katana, closing the door behind the ghouls that poured in.
1 level 3 ghoul... 2 Level 2 Ghouls... and 5 Level 1 Ghouls... All of varying types: Parasitic ghouls, Twin neck Ghouls... you name it. All 6 types emerged into their rooms.
It’s just that after Level 1, the ghouls know how to mask their scent and appearance, ensuring things like their twin necks were covered in normal human-like flesh that still looked rotted.
No time to waste!
Levon’s voice cut through the chaos as he leapt to his feet. "Leo, Eliminate the Level 1’s first and Join Shugo with the Level 2s. I’ll take care of the Level 3 guy."
"Right!"
The orders were given and everyone sprung into action. It was funny that after a good day of destressing their muscles, they would now undo everything thanks to tonight’s battle.
Leo’s Queen of Spades card multiplied into 2, curving to the sides like a parabola. It was too fast for these Level 1s, who didn’t have time to react when pierced in their hearts and weak spots by the cards.
Leo didn’t enlarge them, but kept the cards the size of regular playing cards, swishing them around like a seasoned Casino master.
Wreeeaaaa~
The Level 1’s turned to ashes so fast. It was incredible how quick Leo could now deal with these 5 Level 1s.
With his growing strength and his long time experience of dealing with all Level one ghouls during the past night drills, how can one not expect him to act fast?
Before the Warning message could bellow, all level 1 ghouls had already been taken care of.
[Warning, Warning... Enemy Detected. Engaging Protocol B.]
[Warning, warning, Protocol B in place.]
[Emergency lights will activate in 20 minutes.]
Then, the darkness came.
What? Since when did it jump from 1 minute to 20 minutes?
Doesn’t this mean that for 20 minutes alone, they must survive within the darkness and do their best to not get beaten?
