Chapter 150: All Eyes On Me 2

Arc 3, Chapter 150 — All Eyes On Me 2

.

.

In the face of wolfish intent, Artilla, Shiho, Rayna, and Leo, were not so calm as Levon... Well, they weren’t happy with anyone pressuring their BOSS.

"Now, now..." Levon calmed the brooding atmosphere, particularly his groups.

Whether he teaches them now or not, they’ll eventually learn it in the end, no?

Levon shrugged, unbothered with whether they excel faster than him or not. That was a weak man’s mentality. Anyway, he wasn’t one to hoard information if asked.

Some might use this opportunity to get favors from these future stars. However, Levon felt that wasn’t his style.

It’s not that he was overly arrogant in his capabilities. The fact of the matter was that if he had to hold some ’promise’ for perhaps hundreds of years while waiting for them to ’grow’, even he would forget why the favor was there in the first place.

If he, Levon, wanted to do something, he’d just do it. And if he didn’t, then no matter the pressure amassed on him, he wouldn’t bulge.

It was as simple as that. Levon shrugged, slowly stooping low and sitting cross legged.

Seeing him like this, how could they not understand? Without resistance, they did the same.

The sun heated their flesh, and nature seemed to smirk ruthlessly on their faces.

"Close your eyes." Levon’s voice travelled along with the summery winds. "The technique Winhest is talking about, is the Origin Breathing Technique."

What?... They almost fell on the spot.

????.... That?... That was it? Really?

Many twisted their brows, their eyes still closed but their thoughts distant.

Can that even be described as teaching?

That guy Winhest, only said one or 2 words about the breathing technique during their first ever lecture; and at the time, they were so focused on form stability that they threw the breathing technique out with the wind.

In fact, many don’t even recall if Winhest ever mentioned such a technique or not. The Old Bloodrens who didn’t attend any of Winhest’s earlier classes, were the most desperate.

Hello?

What about those who hadn’t attended lectures in a year., 2 years, 3 years and some 4 years ago? Maybe their own instructor said nothing. What about them? What do they do now?

Artilla, Shugo, Rayna and Leo also joined everyone cross legged.

Even if they’ve gotten a glimpse into the technique... according to Levon’s it’s a technique that takes time to reach perfection.

They didn’t know it, but even a top gun like Delweather in Bloodren 9, was still mastering this technique.

Some at Bloodren 7 level, were only just completing the first stage of this Breathing technique.

So listening to Levon’s teachings again, might provide epiphany to areas they didn’t grasp.

...

Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock~

Time flew by in a breath.

’So that’s it.’ Hendrix nodded inwardly, feeling a surge in his pupils. ’My Shard is a living fragment. Although Winhest has said it several times, It’s a shame I don’t fully grasp his understanding.’

Levon retold all he knew about this Origin Breathing technique. He had learnt it from not only Gaara and Sultan, but even Yaeger too. However, although he said it plainly, how every individual; person interpreted it, would reflect on their progress.

’Well, I get it.’ Yimu inwardly smirked, feeling a trace of shard power flow through her veins and into her eyes with every breath she took.

Her eyes were closed, yet for just a millisecond, time stood frozen, and she could see. She felt she was in a drawing, with everything black and white, fuzzy and very 2D-ish.

Yet, she could see everything, even the leaves swaying around her body.

Florianna with closed eyes in her half-awake state, could see something slightly different. Florianna could see color—vibrant colors.

Then, as though connected to the ground, she could see strange waves of energy interlinking and interchanging with each other. In short, she saw lines of green light flowing from the roots of the grass to the stalks.

Payne ignier and many special Bloodrens quickly got a glimpse into this matter, becoming one with nature. At the same time, their aura’s had diminished so much that even when sitting in front of them, people subconsciously treated them as invisible.

Bloomingdale, Batista and several Old Bloodrens also got an understanding from Levon’s teachings. It was fascinating that everyone saw differently... meaning they reached certain efficiency levels within Stage one.

Some people grasped 0.5% of understanding, meaning they needed 99.5% completion for their breathing techniques to level up.

But for a select few, they still didn’t see a thing with their eyes closed.

"Hey... what the hell is everyone on about?

"Yeah. How come I don’t see a thing?"

?????

In the end, a majority of the group seemed to sense something, seated cross legged with supreme focus.

Victorio and his group had long gone into the mansion, way before Levon began his ’teachings’.

With Victorio’s high scores, he too must have mastered this basic breathing technique a long time ago. However... Perhaps asking him to teach them would yield no fruits.

People like Yimu figured they would have better Luck asking Levon. And as they expected, they succeeded.

It’s not that they thought Levon was easy to bully... but that intuition led them to believe he would. Victorio and his goons were long gone, perching in differing corners of the mansion with calm demeanors.

As for those who ran into the mansion earlier in order to hide their tokens, they were spitting mouth loads of regret after a few murmured about the teachings they received from Levon.

Levon was more than willing to give out a free lecture. But who said others were? Many began asking for favors and asking for others to do other menial tasks around the Mansion for them.

After every night drill, they had their ’Weekly Cleanup’ to do.

What? Do you think Clara and her buddies will spend the time cleaning up so many vampire ashes scattered about?

In a way, they were happy all vampires turned into ashes, eliminating the need to drag dead bodies around.

They as a collective whole weren’t always united. However, when it comes to Cleanup, the work is evenly divided.

Many sneered arrogantly when exchanging their teachings for free labor. It was funny since some of those doing the teaching were not even able to see anything or show signs of progress.

Well, they knew they hadn’t succeeded... but did the suckers they were fooling know that?

Fufufufufu~

Several people did their ’best’ to teach these suckers, some purposefully teaching wrong things to others, so as to keep them from growing stronger than them.

Others did teach the right things, but deliberately left out important information.

At the one time, one must understand that they were teaching it how they themselves interpreted Levon’s lectures.

So who knows if the understanding they felt confident about was WRONG?

Like so, many yapped away without a care in the world.

In the end, those like Levon, Florianna and the special few, calmly headed back to their rooms, sat cross legged and continued their training—focusing solely on this Basic Origin Breathing Technique. Everyone now called it the OB technique, or the OBT.

After practicing, their bodies still quaked from the aftereffects of those poisonous needles. Yet, they dared not rest for a second.

Then, they reached their bottlenecks for the day.

Similar to shard stability training, the basic breathing technique couldn’t be rushed. Each day, they’ll have to practice it... growing stronger with time.

...

The mansion now was quiet and still as many trained without realizing how much time had flown by.

—Supper!

Artilla and Rayna were the first to arrive in their room, knocking before entry. They were amazed by how fast the darkness had come.

Eh? Had they been training for that long already? Levon rubbed his belly, feeling its surface purr.

Hungry... he was extremely hungry. Everyone else was famished too. And soon, they say on Leo’s shard card, flying to the Bee HIVE for Supper.

{***The Colony was the name for the Medical Center, and the Bee HIVE was the name for the Cafeteria.***}

Levon ate with relish, eating 3 times more than he typically would. Ever since Yaeger went into Hibernation, he has felt an increase in hunger.

"Damn, it still hurts!" Shugo muttered pitifully, while ruthlessly biting off the head of a well cooked chicken."

He grabbed the severed head by its broken-off neck, he dipped it into a mouth watering source and crunched it away into smithereens.

It was fascinating how strong everyone’s teeth had become. Shugo’s teeth were just as sharp as a dull Timber saw. He was munching, drinking, and complaining at the same time.

Levon was dumbfounded, wishing he’d pick one thing to do.

For a moment, it seemed Shugo had turned into Octopus hands with how fast his hands were moving, leaving so many afterimages behind.

Levon shook his head wryly. They had their meal, despite a few dark stares from others. Then he frowned, pulling his eyes from another. "Buddy, you best be careful."

Shugo paused, but soon continued eating. "I know..." He replied nonchalantly.

How could he not know he was being watched like a hawk by Redclar?

"You’ve got trouble on your hands, bro." Leo added.

Artilla and Rayna also nodded seriously. "Brother Shu, just be careful."

An ordinary person might feel scared when targeted by a ferocious beast... However, Shugo smiled, a hint of intrigue laced in his pupils.

He was looking forward to seeing just what troubles his newfound enemy could give him.
