I Will Survive Till The End: Blood Extermination Academy-Chapter 118: Ready?
Chapter 118: Ready?
Arc 2, Chapter 118 — Ready?

The night they say: is often very young when danger comes out to play.
~BAM! BAM! BAM!
A flurry of movements echoed loudly from time to time, ever since Levon officially began his training.
Everything happened too exaggeratedly, giving him little time to defend... And before he could react, he was kicked and thrown far into the skies by Gaara.
’WHAT THE HELL?’
Levon’s heart tightened, a sense of foreboding now settling in his belly.
And sure enough—he shot through the space like a bullet, alongside countless fierce winds that slapped and tore at his skin in every corner.
Levon bit the lollipop in his mouth, feeling his shoulders, and his legs begin to heat up from the how fast he was traveling.
He tried to use his shard to slow down his speed, but it was no use.
Levon was dumbfounded when landing in yet another forbidden forest... one that wasn’t even connected to the first he was in.
Don’t think forbidden forests were close to each other. Each was strategically positioned far off, which only showed just how tough Gaara’s throw was.
...
BOOM!
Like the aftereffects of an earthquake, his landing caused ripples on the surface.
Several deadly beats reacted sharply, dodging his impact and staring from a distance.
Puff~
Levon spat a mouth load of blood, wondering if those 2 wanted to kill him or something.
But this was just the beginning.
GAW-KAKAKAKAKAKAKA~
Gaara’s familiar laughter rang from above.
Right now, floating high in the sky above Levon, were Gaara and Sultan.
"Little arrogant disciple," Gaara began. "I suggest you rise up before you become food for the Spiders below."
What? Spiders?
Knowing how absurd this place was, Levon already had an ominous feeling in his heart. freeweɓnovel.cøm
Sure enough, he was right.
CHROUUUU~
Levon felt his soul leaving his body.
In this place where all creatures were merged and spawned into newer versions of themselves, why is it that the spider was the only creature left the way it was naturally created?
Levon had a clue when staring at the cluster of enormous spiders.
He counted no less than a hundred.
They had thousands of razor-sharp hairs covering their bodies. Each hair was no doubt capable of piercing through his skin like tofu.
6~8 eyes stood glued on their heads, reflecting predatory intelligence the longer they stared his way.
Their eyes were glossy and black with cold calculation. But perhaps the most terrifying part about them was the saliva that was dripping from the corners of their mouths.
Again, Levon stared at the floating figures above him hatefully.
Were they trying to train him or kill him without anyone knowing? He was afraid only they would know.
Gaw-kakakakaka~
Gaara’s laughter woke Levon from his stupor.
"Levon Belmont... Isn’t this the best opportunity to put your Katana to the test? Com’on, SHOW US WHAT YOU’VE GOT."
.
.
BOOM!
Levon was thrown like a fly, bashing into countless trees.
It has only been 4 minutes, but his face was painted in purplish welts.
Bleed seeped down from the many cuts on his body, decorating his body in gruesome art.
Levon breathed heavily, raising his Katana for the umpteenth time.
’I haven’t even landed a single blow on any.’
Even the baby spider was kicking his ass left right and center.
Then again, if these spiders lived in this forbidden territory, it meant they were far more powerful than the majority kept by the Order.
Lying sprawled on his back, no one could mistake this for someone sleeping.
Smiling bitterly, he knew he had no choice but to get right back on his feet.
So what if his body ached? So what if he felt the beatings had made his colon full of shit?
Levon felt broken, battered and destroyed, rising to his feet in a staggering manner.
Gaara and Sultan turned to the side, placing their hands on their lips to hide their chuckles.
Well, they admitted they were bad. However, the fact that Levon was still alive was solely their doing.
Any attack proving fatal, was eliminated by them from a watching distance.
Sultan raised a palm, shooting blood bullets that killed on impact.
Indeed, powerful Vampires like himself, can control the type of blood let out from their flesh.
Some bullets he shot could turn his prey into ghouls, while other blood bullets rotted mid-flight and hardened stronger than diamonds.
His blood bullets were oval and as small as pebbles, yet they caused heavy ripping upon impact.
Several giant spiders tore into half right down the middle, from one bullet shot.
All this did not escape Levon’s eyes.
He didn’t see how they did it, but he knew they were protecting him for the most part.
"Belmont boy, you need to focus!" Gaara advised. "You’re wasting your Shard’s aura... like a leaky faucet."
~BOOM!
Levon was smacked hard again, rotting and twisting in the air on the same spot before falling once more.
"Predictable." Sultan frowned. "You act repeatedly on instinct, only using a fraction of your intelligence. If that’s the case, you will be doomed, no matter what illusionary power you think you hold."
"No matter how strong your opponent is, steady your breathing using your elementary practice.... That, Levon Belmont, will be my first lesson to you."
Sultan’s words rang in Levon’s ears.
Yes!
Levon’s eyes widened when recalling the elementary breathing method Winhest had taught them in passing.
Many times, people forget the basics after learning more and more skills.
Levon took out his daggers, knowing he could no longer push himself into using his shard abilities.
He was at his limit.
’38 minutes down time...’
Levon had experimented a lot in the past; 38 minutes was the approximate downtime before he could use his Sharded abilities again if he over exhausted it.
Then again, his downtime used to be longer.
When he first started out, it was appropriately 145 minutes. That was a little over 2 hours.
That was the time when he could only unleash his sharded ability for 40 seconds.
What he found was that the longer he could keep his shredded ability unleashed, the smaller the window became.
Perhaps it was because his shard was from a weaker pile, but everyone else’s lag time was not as large as his from the get go.
Hiss~
Levon was exhausted.
Sweat stung his eyes like vipers, as he focused his attention on his breathing. He could feel his shard’s aura flow through every fiber in his body.
Perhaps this was the only time he truly pondered on the training Winhest gave.
He felt many also didn’t know the secrets lurking in this simple breathing technique. The Technique was called the Origin Technique.
Well, Winhest had brushed it off, simply speaking about it in passing. Many might be too focused on the other methods Winhest spoke off, the techniques that showed rapid progress.
It was so strange...
Taking one deep breath, the world around him seemed silent.
Yet, for just a breath second, Levon felt one with nature.
CHRUUUUUUUUU~
Spider emerged, spotting a toxic web his way. Levon turned to the side, evading the incoming attack.
For a moment, Levon sensed true invincibility... However, it should be noted that it was only for a moment.
"You’re being too cocky, down there."
BOOM!
Levon was flung again mercilessly.
"See, I told you so!"
"..."
.
.
"Again!"
"Again!"
"Again!"
The night carried on like so... till Levon once again passed out. And when he woke, he was back in his bedroom, sleeping soundly.
These days, Artilla and the others have gotten used to seeing Levon passed out during the day.
Despite their distress, they knew he must be pushing his limits with whatever training he was going through.
’Just as I thought, everyone has improved in the span of one week and 2 days.’
Levon’s suspicions proved true, when looking at the more defined figures surrounding him.
Well, he too has changed.
Although everyone scarcely saw each other these days, they unanimously understood their goals.
Levon and Rayna—only these 2 in their team, have yet to get the Go-ahead into Phase 2.
Still, everyone else didn’t want to lose or fall behind their opponents even after their current winning streak.
Just like that, Levon found himself training with Gaara and Sultan.
So far, it’s been one week and 2 days since he began training. And each night, they left him bruised and broken.
Surprisingly, they also shoved in him strange fluids to drink, which healed his injuries completely.
Augh~
The taste was nothing to brag about.
Levon knew he had a sweet tooth; always will and always have.
So one could understand his gagging movements whenever he forced that thick hot fluid down his throat.
Just what was that? Levon felt he had never tasted anything worse.
Thanks to that, he has been sleeping with lollipops in his mouth every night after training.
Last night, he didn’t go for training, because of the heads up from Gaara.
Sure enough, the Night Drill took place yesterday...and that... was also how he got to see everyone’s improvements!
But what about him? Was he ready for the upcoming competitions now?
