5 Figures emerge from the shadows, and the light from the bonfire reflects off them, revealing their appearance. They are all wearing hoods, and their bodies are completely covered by garments. Their only difference was their height.

"So you’re the bloodhound I have heard about?"

"What’s that?" Theia asked, her voice quivering when she saw them, she immediately knew that they were strong.

Hilda has heard rumors about this since Antores has information on these people but they rarely see them, even though he thought it was just a rumor. However, these people are as real as they could be and they’re not just a nobody either.

The smell of blood reeks from their body. Either they recently hunted something or their body has bathed in so much blood that it couldn’t be easily washed off. Hilda was willing to bet it was the latter.

"It’s the bloodhound, these people have been raised specifically to hunt mystic. This is the first time I’ve seen them too. How about I test your reputation?"

"...."

"Not much of a talker? Fine, I’ll make you talk"

Egul disappears from Theia’s sight and arrives in front of one of the Bloodhounds.

"Execute this one"

One of them said in a cold voice upon noticing Egul. It was too late to do anything else other than putting up his hand in defense. Egul punch connects with the man sending the guy’s body flying out of the cave. But it doesn’t go as far as Egul expected. The guy stops mid-air like hes’ hitting some kind of a wall.

"5th circle mystic, we need to use everything"

"....."

One of the bloodhounds already sat down chanting something. Another brandishes a black sword and shield.

Egul didn’t what they were doing but he needed to stop the guy that’s casting. Years of experience tell him that if there’s casting, the mystic power must have been hard to deal with.

However, when he began moving, Egul’s body felt a lot heavier than before. He looks where this restricting power came from and he discovers that there’s another person chanting. But this guy is standing up.

The black sword guy runs at Egul, using this initial confusion of Egul as a window of opportunity. Egul however doesn’t flinch at such a situation.

He raises his axe and meets the sword.

Cling!

Two forces pushing against each other but Egul is clearly superior. His body might be heavier but his weight is still the power is still the same.

Another bloodhound sneaked behind him, this time it was the shortest bloodhound. From the figure, it was clear that this one is female. But they’re deadly all the same. Wielding her short sword she slashes it into Egul.

Egul couldn’t defend that with his slow body but he could defend that attack with his mystic power. However, he also discovers that something is interfering with his mystic power. It’s also slower than before.

The dagger quickly finds its way onto his backside.

Ting!

But the only thing it did was bounce off his mystic shield. Egul didn’t let the slow generation hold him back, he generated the shield precisely where the blade would have landed. Successfully defending that blade.

"You guys certainly live up to my expectations."

Normally these people wouldn’t have a chance against Egul but by combining power, they’re able to resist Egul to such an extent that there’s a real threat to his life. He quickly kicks the girl away and gets into a defensive position. He didn’t need to go no the offense when there’ help.

Bang!

HIlda’s knife hit something when she tried to help Egul. She could see it but there was some kind of barrier that had been set up. The knife bonce off midair, however, Hilda doesn’t just give up.

She infuses her knife with her blood and throws it onto the barrier. She looks at all of the bloodhounds and discovers that the one that sits chanting sways a little.

"That one is casting this barrier! Break in!"

Leon also saw Hilda hitting the barrier and followed her lead. He froze a cloth and slashed at the barrier. With two of them attacking the barrier, the bloodhound that is casting it feels the pressure.

The only thing that is not covered is their eyes and One could tell that the guy is holding onto the barrier.

"4 How long could you hold"

"10 attacks"

"That’s enough"

The black sword bloodhound rushes at Egul again. This time his sword is faster than before, the black blade turns red and it becomes lighter. The blood should move at a differnt speed than before.

Egul eyes were able to catch up to the blade but his body felt heavier by the second so the only thing he could do was to generate a barrier and ue his bare hand to grab it. The blade aiming for his next is neutralized.

"Could you break the barrier faster!?"

It’s getting annoying for Egul, it’s like she is stuck inside muddy water. The short bloodhound also came in for an attack. Using the fact that the black blade drew most of the attention she quickly sliced his arm.

Egul used the same trick again blocking the blade. But this time the girl adapted to it and on her left hand was another blade. Egul didn’t want to take a hit but he’ll gladly trade that for someone’s life.

Through her defense, she could see a big hole in her defense. This is likely a trap but he knew he had to take it. The lowness that the chatting mystic gives him is too much for evasive movement. But it’s not enough to stop his punch.

The blade pierced his muscle drawing a bit of blood. But in return, the bloodhound has been directly hit by his punch. His hand went into the face and instantly killed the bloodhound. The force is simply too much for a human to handle.

"Nice job 3"

The black blade back off after that blade hit. Egul think for a second and knows that there something wrong with this.

"You rat bastard, you used poison?"
