Chapter 250: 68th Demon, Belial (2)

Everyone stood frozen in place as the Garath’s corpse hung from Belial’s spear. But not for long, and Belial received a new command from the entity. The fallen angel’s eyes flashed with malice as he looked at Adrian and his team.

Adrian’s response, however, was a complete surprise, even to the demon. Rather than succumbing to fear like Garath, Adrian crossed his arms, smirking at the thought of his death.

"She wants me dead next, huh?" Adrian mumbled, almost sounding amused. "I don’t think that would be possible. You see, I got a long line of enemies waiting for their turn to kill me. They won’t appreciate you jumping the queue like this."

Seraphina was horrified by the ongoing exchange. She knew Adrian was strong, but it was a demon they were talking about. Even if all the warriors on Earth and Nexaria united, they would have difficulty taking down a named demon.

Yet Adrian was firing shot after shot as if he knew they wouldn’t be able to harm him in any way, shape, or form.

[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, is amused by the User’s foolhardiness but scoffs and says, No one is foolish enough to stand in my way.]

"Oh, there is someone."

[The higher entity, Faithful Spouse In Unfaithful Marriage, stares at the scene and orders the 68th demon, Belial, to stand down.] freewēbnoveℓ.com

"There she is," Adrian replied, his smirk widening.

Although he hadn’t expected his plan to backfire on him, Hera’s ego was the reason he was acting so cocky. He knew she wouldn’t let anyone steal her chance of revenge on him. Not after he had destroyed her temple.

<Master is a sly bastard.>

’Hey! That’s called being resourceful!’

[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, scoffs and wonders if her stepmother is serious.]

[The higher entity, Faithful Spouse In Unfaithful Marriage, instructs another entity to stop with the nonsense and recall the demon to her domain.]

[Countless entities keenly watch the interaction between two queens.]

Adrian had doubts regarding the true identity of [Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss], but it seems his guess was on point. It indeed was Persephone.

’No wonder they are hostile towards each other.’

Since Hera had been mistreating Persephone’s mother, the latter would obviously hold some grudge against her. However, since the two lived in different realms and rarely interacted with each other, it wasn’t easy to take out their frustrations on each other.

That’s why, now that they both had the opportunity to shame the other, neither was willing to back down.

’Either way, it’s good for me.’

Adrian thought and quickly stepped away while the entities were distracted. After all, he didn’t know how long they would be able to hold each other back and judging from how things were going, it wouldn’t surprise him if Persephone decided to kill him just to spite Hera.

Adrian couldn’t leave his life in such a situation without taking measures to protect himself. Thankfully, there was a way to ensure his safety.

Meanwhile, Hera and Persephone kept going back and forth. Neither was willing to back down, as it had become a matter of pride. Little did they know a mere mortal was going to ruin their pride for them.

[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, has had enough and instructs 68th demon Belial to bring a particular User’s soul to her.]

[The higher entity, Faithful Spouse In Unfaithful Marriage, warns a fellow entity of grave consequences.]

[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, scoffs, uninterested in such threats and awaits Belial’s gift.]

Persephone couldn’t help but smile, thinking of ways to toy with Hera once she got Adrian’s soul. However, her plans fell through when an announcement was made.

"Yeah, I don’t think that’ll happen anytime soon," Adrian smirked, his dagger drenched in Tim’s blood.

[The danger surrounding Weeping Forest has been thwarted!]

[All enemies have been killed!]

[The quest has been completed.]

[The Dungeon will close in 10 seconds.]

[All living participants will be teleported out in 10 seconds.]

It was their mission to protect the forest for a week. But what would happen once there were no enemies left to preserve the forest from?

The obvious conclusion was that the quest would be completed, and so would the dungeon’s purpose. That’s why Adrian got busy taking care of the remaining Nexarians in the dungeon.

The girls noticed what he was doing and doubled their efforts to kill the beastmen before the entities could do anything.

[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, is enraged and instructs Belial to kill the User before 10 seconds pass.]

However, despite the order, Belial didn’t move. Well, it was more like he couldn’t move. While the entities had the power to mess with the dungeons, Persephone had taken it to a whole another level by summoning a foreign entity within the dungeon.

There was no way the admins wouldn’t be angry about it. Well, there was another reason for them to be pissed, especially since they had deep connections with <Olympus>.

Hera must have predicted Persephone’s reaction and secretly contacted some admins for help. Following her plan, the admins immediately banished Belial from the dungeon, rendering him incapable of executing Persephone’s instructions.

Not only that, but Persephone was warned not to intervene in such matters, or she might be punished for it the next time.

[Countless entities are in awe of a certain entity’s craftiness.]

[A few entities make a note not to cross a particular entity’s path again.]

However, Hera wasn’t the only one being praised. After all, the actual star of the show was Adrian.

Not only did he manage to deal with a troublesome foe without engaging in battle, but he also got an entity to help him, even though it wasn’t out of care. That alone made his feat more impressive.

[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, warns another entity that she’d regret crossing her.]

[The higher entity, Faithful Spouse In Unfaithful Marriage, shrugs, not worried about the threat.]

[The higher entity, Faithful Spouse In Unfaithful Marriage, stares at the User and says, I’ll see you again... soon.]

"Antío!" Adrian cheerfully exclaimed, waving at the sky before being teleported out of there.
