Chapter 249: [Weekly Bonus Chapter 1/1] 68th Demon, Belial (1)
"Tying a collar around Cerberus?" Adrian laughed. "Good to know I’m not the only one who enjoys mocking <Olympus>."
"What are you talking about?" Garath raised an eyebrow, intrigued by this new term that Adrian spoke about.
Although the entities were famous in Nexaria, they were mostly known as individuals. While some of them knew about the existence of groups amongst those entities, they did not know their actual names, as the Churches had it all under their control.
That’s why Garath wasn’t aware of <Olympus>.
[Countless entities wonder what’s going on inside the User’s head.]
[Some entities smile inwardly, knowing things are about to get interesting.]
[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, focuses her eyes on the User.]
’That was easier than I thought.’
<Master... she isn’t someone you should play with.>
’Oh, I know. Unfortunately, our great tamer has no clue about it.’
[The entity, Mother Who Loves Her Plants, is surprised to see her daughter showing interest in the mortal world.]
With the appearance of an entity who hadn’t shown any interest in the games played by the others, countless more entities broke Zeus’ rule and returned to watch Adrian.
However, most of them didn’t think very highly of Adrian and weren’t there to help him. Little did they know, he didn’t want them there for help. Well, he did, but in a twisted way as such, none of them would even suspect what was about to happen.
’And by the time they realise it, it would already be too late.’
<You’re playing with fire, Master ~>
’You mean hellfire.’
The entities waited for Adrian to do something. But he didn’t do anything. He didn’t move, he didn’t fight, he didn’t even speak. It almost felt like he was waiting for something to happen.
[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, frowns, looking at one of her pets being chained by a certain beast tamer.]
[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, is displeased by the actions of a certain beast tamer.]
’And so it begins...’
Unlike Earth, where the entities had little control over the world, a dungeon was their domain as long as no Admin interfered. One could also say pissing off a higher entity within a dungeon was the worst possible thing anyone could do.
Unfortunately, Garath has yet to learn how much his beloved collection will cost him. It was the same for Adrian. After all, he had also pissed <Olympus> quite a bit.
However, under Zeus’ direction, none of them would touch him as he was Hera’s prey. Knowing her shitty personality, she wouldn’t kill Adrian in a dungeon either, not after he publicly humiliated her and her beloved priestess.
Hera’s ego would only be satisfied after she humiliated him tenfold more than he did. It was something she couldn’t do within the dungeon. That’s why Adrian knew he was more or less safe as long as Garath was alive.
It was a gamble. But it was the only way Adrian could have dealt with Garath once he summoned his minions.
’At least that’s what I think will happen...’
<You know, Master, one of these days, your antics will get you killed.>
’...Thanks for having confidence in my abilities.’
While the two conversed, a loud boom shook the forest as a massive portal, swirling with dark energy, appeared in the sky. The sight was both awe-inspiring and terrifying.
Adrian didn’t know what was about to happen, but he knew not to get in the way of an entity’s rage.
"What is that?" Vesper asked, unsure of what she was seeing.
"Something terrible..." Seraphina and A’Mila mumbled simultaneously.
However, Seraphina and A’Mila both knew what it was. After all, Seraphina was a saintess. It was her job to learn about these things. As for A’Mila, she had signed a deal with a literal demon. It was obvious she would know it when she saw another one.
[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, sends hell’s No. 68th demon, Belial, into the dungeon.]
From the portal emerged a tall, menacing figure—a humanoid demon with blackened wings wielding an array of weapons in his four powerful arms.
His black armour had a sinister glow, marking him as a being of immense power and malice. It was Belial, a fallen angel.
[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, instructs Belial to bring her the head of the insolent beast tamer.]
Even though the demon wasn’t a threat to them, everyone froze in their place, scared to even breathe in Belial’s presence. Despite being ranked 68th out of 72 demon kings of hell, he was an entity Adrian couldn’t even dream of going against... not in his current state either way.
Adrian, on the other hand, seemed unfazed by Belial’s appearance. In fact, while the others were too scared to breathe, he was smirking as he surveyed the scene.
’Now that a literal demon has appeared, it’s time to deal with the remaining enemies.’
He began to back away, his eyes fixed on Garath desperately trying to control his trembling beasts. However, all those attempts ceased when Belial’s gaze fell on him. He began to hyperventilate, his breaths coming in short, panicked gasps.
The demon didn’t speak a word and walked towards Garath, following his goddess’s instructions. Panicked, Garath did the only thing he could and instructed his prized beasts to attack the demon.
"Get him! Now!" he screamed, his voice cracking with fear.
The creatures, including Cerberus, were too scared to move. However, they moved when Garath forced them to. However, it was all in vain.
With a mere flick of his finger, Belial reduced the beasts to ashes. Their remains scattered to the wind, leaving nothing but charred ground where they once stood.
In an instant, the beasts Garath once boasted about were gone. With nothing left, Garath abandoned his pride and fell to his knees.
"N-No," he stammered, taking a step back. "Stay away from me-!"
With swift, merciless precision, Belial drove his spear into Garath’s head. The spear pierced through his body, lifting him off the ground and impaling him like a pig on a stake. His lifeless body hung in the air for all to see.
However... the demon wasn’t done yet.
[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, smiles, pleased with the death of one heretic.]
[The higher entity, Empress of Hell Who Fell In The Abyss, instructs Belial to devourer the User known as Adrian and burn the dungeon to ashes]
