Chapter 177: New home

Elena took out the house blueprint and activated the [Building] function, causing the Golden Tablet to float beside it.

Everyone watched in awe as the ragged Tablet hovered in the air, their eyes glued to it, eager to see what would happen next.

A moment later, Elena heard a soft [Ding] in her mind, followed by a message from the Golden Tablet.

’Can’t it at least make a hologram? Why is it so cheap?’ she thought, a little disappointed.

But then she felt a bit sorry for the Golden Tablet—it was made in ancient times, after all.

As she analysed the message carefully, she realised the Golden Tablet needed actual building materials to continue.

Just like regular construction, the house couldn’t be built out of thin air.

According to the Golden Tablet, building a large, fully equipped mansion required the following materials:

Concrete for the foundation, bricks for the walls, wood for the frame and flooring, glass for the windows, and tiles for the kitchen and bathrooms.

It also needed insulation to keep the house energy efficient, paint for both the inside and outside, plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring and lighting, roofing materials, and even landscaping supplies for the backyard.

’Oh, too many.’

Fortunately, it would collect and deduct the materials from the Southern Inventory sector, using the same amount as if the house were built manually.

The only difference was that the house would be built automatically according to the blueprint—with no mistakes at all.

"Wife?" Ethan asked gently, noticing her in deep thought.

Everyone was waiting, but nothing was happening. The Tablet and the blueprint just hovered quietly in the air.

"Wait a second," Elena said, and mentally agreed to start the building process.

As soon as she did, the blueprint vanished, and the Golden Tablet began to glow brightly.

Moments later, the construction materials started appearing one by one, floating toward the centre of the area.

The crowd watched in amazement as the materials spun and moved on their own, like invisible hands were guiding them.

Concrete poured smoothly into place, walls rose straight from the ground, beams locked together, and a roof formed over their heads.

Glass slid into the window frames, and doors clicked into position.

The mansion was complete—a stunning home that had materialised right before their eyes.

Remarkably, the entire process had taken just ten minutes to finish.

Afterwards, the Golden Tablet gave a soft [Ding] again, signaling that the house matched the blueprint perfectly and was ready to use.

"It’s done! Come on, let’s see what it looks like," Elena said, noticing the shock on their faces.

Everyone was excited by the result. Just like that, a brand-new house had appeared.

Without wasting any time, they all rushed inside, eager to explore every corner.

"Wow, a big pool for Little Mia to pway in! Come on, guys, let’s pway later!" Little Mia exclaimed, her eyes sparkling as she saw the beautiful, inviting pool.

She eagerly urged her friends to gather later for some fun.

Aunt Liza chuckled and said, "We’re not done with our tasks yet. We still have a lot of herbs to harvest today."

"But Mom—" she started to argue, but Aunt Liza quickly cut her off.

"No buts! Little Mia needs to be responsible, just like she promised earlier."

"Fine," Little Mia replied, looking disappointed.

Seeing her sad, Elena was tempted to let her play, but when she noticed her husband’s stern expression, she decided to stay quiet.

Ethan frowned as he watched Little Mia once again acting unaware of the serious situation outside.

He then made a mental note to double their training exercises—maybe even start preparing self-defence weapons.

Elena quickly changed the topic, worried that the more she looked at Little Mia, the more likely she was to give in.

"Let’s go inside," she said.

Everyone followed her into the house and admired its beautiful design.

The living room, kitchen, bathroom, and both the master and nursery rooms were all perfectly crafted.

"Look at the kitchen! The shelves are complete. The only thing missing is the appliances," Aunt Liza pointed out.

"Yeah! We should collect more jade and antiques so we can build more houses like this," Grandma Ford added with excitement.

"Have you seen the nursery room? It’s so cute! I can’t wait for the baby to arrive," Mrs. Benette chimed in.

Everyone chatted cheerfully while exploring the home, happy for the couple and excited about the baby on the way.

After fully checking out the house, the group returned to their tasks.

The kids were reluctant to leave, but Elena promised they could swim in the pool after they finished their tasks.

Once everyone had gone, Elena summoned the Golden Tablet and noticed that 25% of the Reserved Energy Tab had been used—a large amount of energy points had disappeared in just one go.

’It’s all for the baby.’

"Wife, let’s go and add some furniture," Ethan said, interrupting her thoughts. He was excited to decorate the nursery.

Even though Elena’s due date was still a far away, he wanted to use his free time well.

"Alright," Elena replied, then used a lot of jade to restore the Reserved Energy Tab to full before they began.

While everyone was still talking about the amazing scene they had just witnessed, Oslo and Xander, on the other hand, kept their eyes on the Abbot and General Kaiser, who were once again shopping at the Paradise shop.

They had been observing the shop for the past two days, trying to gather more information.

The staff remained strict, and when they tried to buy details, they were told to wait—the person in charge of that department was on vacation.

Brother Elias’s face turned red—not from anger, but from pure envy.

’They even get vacations in this extreme weather? How lucky?’

Yes, Elena and Ethan were enjoying their time together, adding appliances to their newly built house while waiting for the right time to reopen the shop in Building A.

With no other leads, General Kaiser and Brother Elias started asking the residents about what had been happening in the area.

That’s when they heard some shocking news: a criminal group had recently tried to take over Building A, but the Paradise shop branch wiped them out without mercy.

"When did this happen, sir?" General Kaiser asked.

"Two days ago. The battle was intense. The criminals had explosives, but the shop still defeated them," the resident replied.

"Really?"

"Don’t believe me? Ask the others—it’s the only thing people are discussing around here. The craziest part is that only two staff members took down more than fifty criminals."

"This... How did they do that?" General Kaiser asked, clearly intrigued.

"I don’t know the details. What I do know is that the criminals were killed brutally."

General Kaiser raised his brows, silently urging the resident to continue.

"They were beheaded and thrown out the window as a warning."

General Kaiser was stunned.

The shop staff was ruthless, but considering the criminals’ actions, he found it hard to disagree.

Removing dangerous people and sending a clear warning was probably the best way to stop others from doing the same.

"Oh, it’s my turn to exchange supplies. Bye," the resident said before walking off.

Afterwards, General Kaiser and Brother Elias had a serious conversation.

In the end, they decided to head to Building A themselves to uncover the real story behind the incident.
