Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive-Chapter 98: Educating Her Family
Chapter 98: Chapter 98: Educating Her Family
Chu Miao immediately obeyed. She felt as if she had gone back to the ancient era when her grandfather trained her strictly until she collapsed.
She went back to the courtyard and took a long shower. When she came out again, the beggar look was gone and in her place was a beautiful and energetic girl, but the fatigue could still be seen.
There was already food on the table in the dining room and everyone was waiting for her.
This meal was different from the rest because no one talked while eating. They didn’t want to prolong it as they wanted Chu Miao to finish eating quickly and go rest.
Once Chu Miao was done eating, she went back to her bedroom without a word and passed out as soon as she lay on the bed.
She was in a deep and dreamless sleep for fifteen hours. It was clear how tired she had been.
Her family waited for her while doing various chores in the space. Grandpa Chu and the butler went to tend to the animals in the space, collected the laid eggs, there were hundreds of eggs already, and then separated the young ones who had just been born from the grown flock.
Since the spiritual energy increased in space, the animals seemed to grow faster and reproduce faster as well.
It had been two months and there were newly hatched chicks and ducks, newborn pigs and goats. It looked like they would never lack meat and milk even if their group grew bigger.
Chu Hao and Chu Mo, his father, were harvesting vegetables, fruits, and other crops.
Mother Chu was busy in the kitchen processing the newly harvested vegetables and washing fruits for better storage.
Everyone was busy doing something. They didn’t stop until Chu Miao woke up fifteen hours later.
Their bodies had grown so strong after this round of seclusion that even after working nonstop for so long, they still didn’t feel tired.
If anyone had told them something like this was possible four months ago, they would not have believed it, but now they were living this life.
It felt good to be healthy, especially for Grandpa Chu and the butler, who had been suppressed by old injuries for a long time.
The family sat down again for a meal together, but this time the atmosphere was normal.
"What were you working on Bunny?" Chu Hao asked as soon as they were all seated.
"I was trying to combine array formations. I thought that we would need them in the future so I have been trying to combine different arrays." Chu Miao replied.
"What are array formations?" Chu Hao asked again.
"Arrays are formations arranged using certain materials or the environment to protect, increase power, or set traps.
They can be useful to disguise a place, kill enemies, or simply increase the power of those within the array.
It uses the Qi of heaven and earth to activate and function." Chu Miao explained.
"What can they be used for in our situation now?" Grandfather Chu asked with a serious expression.
If his granddaughter had worked so hard for it, then these array formations must be important.
"Setting array formations around our residence could cloak it and hide it if we don’t want it found.
Also, we can set up a spirit-gathering array to use for cultivation. Even though the spiritual energy in this world is very thin, after the fog, I think it increased a little, and it can be used.
So, setting up a spirit gathering array could help with cultivation when we can’t come into the space." Chu Miao explained with excitement.
"That’s a good thing. It’s like achieving high-tech results without using any technology at all." Father Chu said in surprise.
"I thought such things are only found in cultivation novels. Didn’t expect to see it in real life." Chu Hao was surprised that such things were real at all.
"Where are you going to build these arrays?" Grandpa asked again.
"Let’s wait first. I was just studying them to make sure I could set them up when needed." Chu Miao said.
"Do you plan to recruit people and form a team? Surviving the apocalypse as a family is okay, but I doubt it will fulfill the purpose of that prophecy and we don’t know what consequences there would be if we just ignored humanity." Grandpa asked.
"I don’t think it will have any heavy consequences at all. It’s not Bunny’s fault that the apocalypse came." Chu Hao commented without much thought as always.
"What do you know? Do you really think that prophecy was bogus or it brought little Bunny here for show, just so she could survive alone? Also, do you think this space was created and so many resources included in it just so our family could survive?
Obviously, this was a weapon prepared to fight for humanity, not just the Chu family. The Chu family are simply the custodians." Father Chu said with a sigh. He couldn’t understand how his son, who was so good in business, could have such a shortsight when it came to serious matters.
"Your father is probably right. But let’s take things slowly. Even if we, as the Chu family, have a duty, Bunny is the chosen leader, and we can’t pressure her. We have to plan everything carefully.
Moreover, even if we are saving humanity, not everyone is worth saving." Grandpa Chu said.
"Okay, let’s go outside and see what’s happening." Mother Chu interjected and Chu Miao brought everyone out.
Once outside the space, they realized that things had changed.
The extreme heat was gone and in its place was rain. The temperature felt normal after a long time and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
They didn’t even need to turn on the air conditioning anymore.
By this day, people had already gone to the designated area a couple days before and gotten supplies. But Chu Miao didn’t bother to tell her family about it because it didn’t matter.
She walked over to the window and looked outside and noticed that the drainage was already having problems. Water was starting to flood the streets.
