Chapter 625: In the end.

"Grandpa..." Tai Fong poked him in the shoulder. "Did you hear? Liwu has come...."

The old man suddenly leaped up for joy and laughed crazily. Outside, thunder roared in the skies, shocking everyone in the city.

"Liwu is here, Liwu is really here." Grandpa Tai broke down like a baby himself, bawling tears as the first female baby born into the Tai family was put in his hands.

"Another girl." the nurse handed over another baby and less than ten seconds later, a similar announcement was made.

Grandpa Tai’s hands were full as he monopolized all three tiny bundles of joy.

"Three Liwu’s, we finally have girls in our Tai family. Tai Fong call everyone, tell them that I Tai Sun Dayan have great granddaughters and two new great grandsons. In this city, i will walk sideways even more from now on." he bellowed.

Grandma Tai tried to carry one of the baby girls but grandpa Tai held them to his chest and glared at her as if she was a thief.

He had not even allowed Caishen to carry his daughters, not that Caishen was very bothered, having run into the birthing room at the first chance he got.

It seemed nobody would be getting a chance to carry the girls except for Alix because they needed to feed. Other than her, everyone else was an unwanted guest in the life of grandpa Tai and the three Liwu’s.

"Oh, this is going to be the biggest competition in the family." auntie Mo whispered.

"He has to sleep sometime, doesn’t he?" Chairman Tai whispered back.

There was no way he would monopolize all the babies if her was sleeping, chairman Tai would not mind drugging his own father to sleep if that was what was necessary. These were his granddaughters, he deserved to spend time with them.

Inside the birthing ward, Alix was fully conscious as the nurses cleaned her up and then Caishen held her hand as Aang transferred them back to a hospital in the city.

He teleported everyone else that was part of their group and the babies were handed over to the parents. Everyone left to give them some privacy as first time parents with their babies.

Alix and Caishen looked at the precious five little bundles that were on their best behavior, no whimpering or crying just soft sounds from their small mouths.

They were small and light, beautiful. Caishen was carrying two of the girls, one was resting on the bed and two were breastfeeding.

Caishen looked from one daughter to another, their gazes took turns to lock and his heart constricted.

"Wife, they are looking at me." he shared proudly.

Alix guffawed. "Where did you expect them to look?"

He blushed, feeling like a fool for saying silly but he couldn’t help it, he had never held something so small and precious.

He had not held Xiaobo like this when he was a baby, it his mother that had looked after him. The feelings he was experiencing were brand new and they were terrifying.

"They are so small, they don’t even weigh as much as my biceps."

Again, Alix guffawed. "Hubby Zhang, i think you have become dumber."

His eldest daughter’s lips curled into what looked like a smile and Caishen melted.

"Wife, Liwu smiled, she has smiled at me." he half screamed-half squealed.

Alix rolled her eyes, she could see easily that this was going to be their future. He was going to be one of those overly dotting parents that saved every first memory of their child.

"Wait till they poop, i hope you will be just as excited for that milestone." she said, sarcastically. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

He reacted in an unexpected manner, looking down at the girls with a smile. "Wife, we should record it all, every first moment is important. Oh, your brothers were right, we should build or buy an elementary school for only girls."

He was unwilling to see this smile being given to a stinky boy, his little padded jackets should smile at him.

"Wife, do you think it will be too much if we send the girls to school with robot bodyguards? You are right, it’s not too much."

Alix sneered at him, which of his ears had heard her respond before proclaiming that she was right?

"When they are teenagers, we should build a high wall around our new house, maybe we can add a guard tower too and energy shield. I think mobile phones are also unnecessary before the age of eighteen, Ooh, dogs, let’s not forget about dogs with sharp....."

"Zhang Caishen!" Alix growled out.

He turned to her and blinked, looking perfectly innocent like he had not just made ridiculous suggestions.

Alix put her two sons down and gestured for him to hand over her daughters. The man had obviously gone insane from becoming a father.

Reluctantly, he gave them up, helping Alix position the right and both babies greedily latched onto her nipples to breast feed.

Caishen picked up his sons and he beamed with pride on his face. Of all five babies, they were the biggest ones in size.

"Mafan is gone." Alix told him.

Caishen put down the babies and he sat down on the bed close to her. His eyes roamed over her face in search of signs of anxiety.

He had read up on pregnancy, baby raising books and after care for a woman post pregnancy. One of the things that had worried him was the possibility of postpartum depression.

Mafan’s leaving could make Alix unhappy and affect her negatively.

"When did he leave?" he questioned.

"You are not surprised." she stated.

He shook his head, he had long figured out that Mafan was not really a system and when his business was finished, he would leave.

She chuckled softly, "No wonder he wanted you first but changed his mind, you are really brilliant." she muttered.

He was really proving Mafan right, the man could see through him easily. Alix could not even begin to guess how Caishen had figured out that someday, Mafan would leave her. She really never thought the blue elf would someday leave her, not before her death anyway.

"Are you.....how are you feeling about his departure?" he quizzed reluctantly.

She looked at him and the five babies she had given birth to, right now, she was happy and fulfilled. There was no doubt she would miss Mafan and on some days, she would miss him so much to a point of crying but it was okay, he had given her a lot.

He had brought her a family, love, new friends, new opportunities, wealth, trophies and more. What else could she ask for?

"I will miss him but i am O." she replied confidently.

’I love you’ he mouthed at her.

She smiled softly at him. "I love you too hubby Zhang, forever."
