Chapter 60: Chapter 59: Ash Of Negation

The void was still, as it always was, but my mind was anything but calm.

The pain from binding with Doom had faded, leaving behind a strange, almost electric sensation in my veins.

The gun, Doom, rested in my hands, it felt different now, lighter, more alive, as if it were an extension of my own body..

I had bound it to me, endured the agony of its recognition, and now it was mine.

But as I stared at the screen floating in front of me, at the words

(Ash of Negation (Undefinable): The ability to negate anything and everything).

I realized I didn’t truly understand what that meant.

How could something negate everything?

What did that even look like?

Spectator," I said, my voice cutting through the silence. "You said I need to understand the gun, to understand its power. So... tell me. What is the Ash of Negation? What does it mean to negate "everything"?"

"Didn’t you read the novel," Spectator replied.

"Ah yeah, but I don’t really remember somethings in it, it has been long since I started reading it, and it had many Chapters, many things happened in it," I said.

The Spectator’s spoke, calm and measured.

"The Ash of Negation is not just energy, Sky. It is a paradox. It exists beyond the boundaries of existence itself. It is not bound by the laws of life, death, or even non-existence. It transcends duality, immunity, and even the null and void. It is, in essence, the ultimate negation."

I frowned, trying to wrap my mind around the concept.

"A paradox? What does that mean? How can something exist beyond existence?" ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

"It is difficult to explain to you," the Spectator said, its tone thoughtful. "Imagine existence as a tapestry, woven from countless threads of life, death, and everything in between. The Ash of Negation is not part of that tapestry. It exists outside of it, untouched by its rules. When it comes into contact with something, anything, it unravels it, negates it, reduces it to nothingness. Not just physically, but conceptually. It erases the very idea of the thing it touches. none are immune to its power. It is the ultimate negation"

I stared down at the gun in my hands, my fingers tightening around the grip.

"So... it’s like a delete button? For reality?"

"In a sense," the Spectator said. "But it is far more powerful than that. It does not simply destroy. It negates. It removes the target from the fabric of existence entirely, as if it had never been. Life, death, abstract concepts, even the null and void."

I shook my head, still struggling to understand.

"But... how? How can something negate ’everything’? Doesn’t that mean it could negate itself?"

"Precisely," the Spectator said, its tone almost approving. "That is the paradox. The Ash of Negation exists outside the boundaries of logic and reason. It is not bound by the rules it enforces. It can negate anything, except itself. It is the one constant in a universe of variables."

"I just remembered something, you mentioned something about the null...," I said, my voice quieter now. "What is that? You said the Ash of Negation can even negate the null and void. What does that mean?"

The Spectator paused, as if considering how to explain something so vast, so incomprehensible.

"The null," it said finally, "is the absence of everything, friction, narrative, non existence and existence. It is the complete and utter lack of anything, no stories, no concepts, nothing. Even omnipotent beings who have not ascended cannot survive the null. After it is what lies beyond."

"What lies beyond?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"That," the Spectator said, "The null exists before it. To venture beyond the null is to step into the unknown, into a realm where even the concept of existence and non existence has no meaning."

The null sounded like the ultimate beyond void, a place where nothing, not even the idea of nothing, could exist.

And yet, the Ash of Negation could negate even that.

It was almost too much to comprehend.

"So... the Ash of Negation can also negate the null?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"Yes," the Spectator said. "it has the ability to do so."

I nodded, feeling the weight of the Spectator’s words settle over me.

I stared at the gun in my hands, feeling a strange mix of awe and unease.

Doom wasn’t just a weapon, it was something greater.

It was a force of nature, a power beyond comprehension.

It has a power that could reshape reality itself.

And it was mine.

And if I wasn’t careful, I could destroy more than just my enemies.

I could destroy everything.

"You don’t have to worry very much about that, for now" Spectator said.

"Why?"

"Because I sealed it power for now, so the more stronger you get, the more stronger it becomes, it becomes even stronger than the normal ash of negation the more stronger you grow, that doesn’t mean it is totally weak now, it is still perfect and strong just like the normal" Spectator said

"That’s even better"

I stared at spectator figure, trying to imagine all that Spectator was describing.

It was like trying to picture a color I’d never seen or a sound I’d never heard.

My mind kept slipping, unable to grasp the concept.

"But... if the null is the absence of everything, including emptiness, then how does it even exist?" I asked, my voice tinged with frustration. "How can something that’s nothing even be a thing?"

"That is the paradox," the Spectator said. "The null is not a thing. It is the absence of everything. It is the ultimate absence, it is nothing. It is the absence of everything, the absence of all concepts, the absence of all possibility."

I shook my head, feeling more confused than ever.

"This is way too abstract for me. I’m just a normal guy. How am I supposed to understand all this?"

"You do not need to understand it fully now," the Spectator said. "You would understand it the more as you continue."

"Okay"

"Now, I think we are done here" Spectator said, "It’s time for you to get back to the story"

"Well then, Goodbye."

"And use everything I told you to grow to be the strongest," Spectator said, his tone carried amusement, "You are important, now go and make the story more interesting"
