The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 203: Our husband is to retire.
"Hey, that's mine." Bo called out in protest.
Caishen turned to face his brother and he said in a serious voice, "It's a crutch of guilt that you have been holding on to for over ten years. I admit, I took on your duties because I was afraid that you would do something drastic if you were forced into a life you didn't want. But as you said it yourself, I have always been willing, ready and happy to work for our family company. No matter what I did with my one year of freedom, I would have come back home to do my duty. In fact, I would have come back after three months because I was excited to go to work.
Zhang group of companies altogether employs at least five hundred thousand people world wide. We are like a piece of land on which thousands get to feed. We cannot afford to crack because those people will starve. I have always been proud of our family and what we do. If you have made your mind up, then you must do this with all of your mind and heart. You can't come in with bitterness and regrets. Are you sure that you want to do it?"
"I am. I am retiring." Zhang Bo said with a finality in his voice.
Caishen leaned against his seat and groaned. There was nothing he could say anymore to change his brother's mind, it seemed. Bo had made up his mind and that was it.
"I am sorry, for everything." Zhang Bo suddenly apologized.
To him, this apology was one he had taken too long to give. But to Caishen, this apology sounded like the words of a man that was ready to sacrifice it all against his personal wishes.
"Maybe take a week to consider this properly. Think bout it clearly. If it's because of Wang Yong, I will move to Zhang group and Zhang Chan from the second family can temporarily move to Zhang construction." Caishen suggested.
Bo punched him in the shoulder and said, "Hey big head, I am trying to apologize over here. Just say you forgive me and we can hug it out then contact your Biming and ask him to buy me around thirty new suits. I gotta look good for my inauguration."
Caishen rolled his eyes and said, "My wife punches better than you." His brother's answer made it clear that his suggestion was not welcome so he stopped trying to convince him otherwise. "Also, get your own personal assistant to run your errands."
"Yao Ming actually works for me." Bo told him.
Caishen raised his eyebrows curiously. Yang Ming was the assistant to the vice president of Zhang group.
Zo further went on to tell his brother, "Everyone under forty that works in a managerial position has actually been placed there by me. Most of them were poached from international companies by me in secret. Do you people think that all I have been doing is travelling the world just to act? I have been helping the company in my own way and I got my MBA too. Everyone at headquarters is practically a plant I placed there and they are loyal to me. Minus the ones who are over fifty, most of the older employees in management are loyal to grandpa."
And so, Zhang Bo went on to tell his brother all that he had been doing to prepare for the day when he would one day come home to do his duty. The timing had been moved up but he had prepared for this day.
At Yuwen academy, Alix had arrived and gone straight to Jin Kang's office. Her mouth was burning with gossip which she had to share or she would explode.
She found Jin Kang sorting through applications of new students to the music school for the next semester. Some were actually trying to join immediately.
"Why are they so many?" she asked her.
Over one hundred applications, one hundred twenty two in total. Famous music schools had thousands of applicants but Songbird music academy was not famous so this was good enough.
Jin Kang was smiling radiantly, extremely pleased at the change in the tides which was now in their favor. "Your public appearance on let's get physical helped. Apparently that little violin show you put on despite being brief was watched by many people. Also, there is some behind the scenes footage from Chan Ki's new music video which was released two hours ago. The online applications are flooding in. To think that we have a walking breathing school mascot in you."
"I am happy to know that I can help. How many of them have you accepted?"
Jin Kang raised a finger, smiled and sent out many acceptance letters to different emails.
"All of them." She said. "Accept, accept, accept accept, accept. I will accept them all until our building is filled with students and we are rolling in money."
"Don't fill it up, I am leaving some rooms for art students. With the national painter here then we might be able to add an art academy." Alix exposed an idea that had been running around in her mind for two days now.
Jin Kang's eyes lit up. "We can charge exorbitant prices for those who specifically want to take classes with teacher Ren. Great idea."
She jumped up from her chair, came around and hugged Alix, squeezing her tightly.
Meow, meow, meow.
Majesty that was nestled up against Alix's chest complained loudly and angrily.
"Human, tell the other human to stop squeezing me." he said. More like commanded.
Alix did not need to tell Jin Kang because her friend backed away after hearing the cat complaining.
"Sorry your majesty." she said as she rubbed the cat's head.

Meow, the cat responded once.
The cat jumped down from Alix's arms. "I will be with the old man that wants to paint me."
"Be careful." Alix shouted to the cat that was already disappearing. If any part of it heard her words, it was the tail.
Jin Kang shook her head. "You are talking to your cat now. Friend, you have truly become a cat lady. Pang Ji De might be on to something."
Alix pulled her to sit down and she said, "Shut up, I have news to share about our husband Bo. He is talking about retiring."
Jin Kang's jaw dropped.
"But, Xi Xi, why are you talking like that? It's not our husband..." She tilted her head and looked at Alix with disapproval on her face. "You already have his younger brother. You are not allowed to call our lovely Bo your husband anymore."
"Eh!" Alix exclaimed. Did being married disqualify her from being a fan?
Jin Kang had apparently made her point. She put her hand on her head and closed her eyes. "My husband, oh, what a life of misery I will be left to live. Whose handsome face will bless my television now?"
Alix sneered at her and rolled her eyes. What a little traitor and drama queen she was.
She recalled that Jin Kang had a big mouth so she warned her. "Make sure you don't spill the beans you dramatic woman. If it gets out, they will all know that I was the source."
A part of her now regretted sharing the news with her gossipy friend. Would Jin Kang really keep this news to herself?
