The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband-Chapter 346: The top knights
Chapter 346: The top knights
All three of them attacked Cedric at once; unlike the other knights, who were shirtless, the top knights were fully clothed. They were drenched by the heavy downpour, making their clothes stick to them, and some of their muscles bulged out of their clothes.
Swords clashed, adrenaline pumping through their veins. Abrielle’s eyes were on Cedric; he was wearing a bit of colour with blue tops and black trousers and boots. His hair was tied up with some strains sticking on his face as the rain poured on him.
Axel, being as impatient as always, charged first; Axel had dull grey hair and black eyes; among the top knights, he was the biggest with the highest temper. He was from a commoner background.
Cedric read his movements and knew exactly where Axel was charging at. He was aiming below. As Axel was about to attack, Elias appeared behind him from the shadows.
Elias, being the strongest of his knights, was the best at shadow movement. He had a lean build, a bit shorter than Cedric, who was around 208m, and Elias was around 190m, which was considered still very tall. Elias has dark blue hair, which could be mistaken as black, with hazel eyes. Elias actually came from a noble background and could be considered Cedric’s closest acquaintance.
They would have been friends if Cedric was the type that had friends. They met when Elias was 17 on his first mission, Cedric was 16 at the time and was already a new general at that time. The youngest in the history of Draconia. He was the useless youngest son of a baron who sent his son Elias to battle to man him up as his father described.
Elias has 5 elder brothers, so the military was the only way he could make a name for himself. Cedric had personally trained Elias then and taught about how to harness his magic skill of concealment and body enhancement, which Elias had no idea he possessed because his family was never the time to go to war.
It wasn’t a teleportation skill but a skill that helped you conceal your presence, making you seem invisible, hiding in the darkness, but his sneak attack could not work on Cedric, who sensed his bloodlust miles away.
Cedric tackled Elias first pushing off to Axel, disorienting the tank that wanted to avoid Elias. Cedric had barely touched them and he was already down.
"Control your bloodlust, and Axel, work on your footwork." Cedric casually commented.
Curtis didn’t give the prince a chance to rest as he attacked next. Among the three, Curtis was the prettiest, with feminine-like facial features. He has very red hair as vibrant as roses with green eyes. Aside from having a pretty face that never smiles, he had a very buffed-off masculine body. Curtis also came from a lower noble family and was the eldest.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t on the best of terms with his family, who were Eleanor’s allies. His twin sister, who had an identical face with a more slender and shorter build, was Astrid’s best friend. When Curtis decided to serve under Cedric, his family cut him off.
Curtis didn’t have an exact reason to work with Cedric before being a shadow knight. He was actually considered strong, although he never won a duel against Cedric and Lucian, who he was 3 years older than.
He changed parties due to pure rebellion during his teenage years. Curtis was a mage and swordsman skilled with nature.
His eyes glinted, and vines sprouted from the ground to tie up Cedric’s legs, slowly crawling up to hold him in place. Cedric struggled to break out of them.
"How many times will I tell you that these vines don’t work?" Cedric sneered; just before Curtis’s sword could touch him, Cedric was gone. His movements were so fast that Curtis could barely see him.
Curtis quickly turned around to block Cedric’s swords. His teeth gritted as he struggled to hold his ground.
"You have become stronger. At this rate, you will surpass Axel."Cedric praised him.
Curtis smiled, his short red hair sticking to his face. "I haven’t been sitting around all day." Cedric scoffed; he pushed Curtis off and then fended off Elias’s attack; it was a pain fighting against Elias when it was hard to read his movements.
Elias was more of an assassin than even a knight; he and Cassandra were the ones who handled Cedric’s dirty business. He dodged the next attack that came at him. "That’s better I almost didn’t sense you. If you fought like this, you would have finished Alfonso in seconds," Cedric sneered.
Elias scoffed, "I was instructed not to harm your brother because you wanted him in the best condition when you fought."
Back on the roof terrace walkway, Abrielle was watching a fight that seemed more like Cedric toying and teaching his men rather than a spar. "They aren’t even giving him a fight." Abrielle rolled her eyes.
"They are actually having fun. Men being men. But they are stronger than they look, especially Elias. No matter how many times we spar he always makes me kiss the ground. He doesn’t even consider me a woman." Evelyn bitterly said, making Abrielle laugh.
"I would love to see your duel," she chimed. "How come I have never seen you train?"
"I spend my day attending to you and only train when you are fast asleep. Elias is always so busy we hardly have time to spar." Evelyn said looking depressed.
Abrielle’s eyes narrowed at Evelyn, a smile on her lips. She recognized the look on Evelyn’s face. "You like him, don’t you?"
Evelyn’s face turned red, but she tried to keep a straight face, hiding her red ears. She cleared her throat, "I have no interest in a younger man. He is too young."
"5 years isn’t too bad," Abrielle chirped, her smile growing wide at her new discovery.
"There is no way I can have something with a younger man. It will be frowned upon by society."
"I am sure there are couples where the women are older." Abrielle pushed on.
"I don’t see him that way. He and Cedric are like my younger brother. I basically saw them grow from teenagers to men." Evelyn argued back that Abrielle was not dropping the topic.
