The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband-Chapter 335: Bloodlusted demon
Chapter 335: Bloodlusted demon
Bored and alone Abrielle eventually slipped into another slumber shortly after Evelyn left.
Her eyes popped open when she felt subtle sparks on her skin. Her blue eyes met his gold eyes that were staring curiously at her.
"Cedric," she called out a bit surprised to see him by her bed. "You were talking in your sleep." He mentioned then sat upright from his bent-over position.
"I was," Abrielle answered and he hummed in agreement. The room was darker, the candle lights flickering. It was already night. How long did she sleep? "Don’t tell me I was out for another 3 days." She joked as her eyes caught a glimpse of the dark starry night outside.
"Just a few hours," Cedric answered, he seemed to be calmer now. She wondered if he was still mad. "Are you still angry?" She asked and instantly regretted asking
He smiled at her. "What do you think?" Cedric answered. Her throat felt parched, and she nervously swallowed. Something was off about the candle lights that made him more entrancing.
"I am sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you," Abrielle muttered, her voice barely a whisper, but he heard her clearly. He arched his brow at her, his face getting closer. She shrank back her back against the headboard. Her instincts sensed something wrong.
Cedric stopped his face just an inch away from her. He was still wearing a mask meaning he just came back from outside. She could still smell the faint flower pollen and wet grass scent from his hair.
He must have been outside training. "What are you trying to do?" She nervously asked. His hand reached for a corner of her lips, then he used a small hankie in his hold to clean the corner of her lips.
"Do you always drool when you sleep?" He asked, and her face went red. How could he ask her something like that? "I don’t know what you are talking about." She refluted causing a short magnetic chuckle to leave his lips.
She was truly adorable; after the 3 days of rest, some colours had started to appear on her cheeks again, although she was still very thin. The kitchen has to work hard for her to add weight quickly.
" An apology isn’t enough. There isn’t a need for the excess apology. Just don’t repeat it." Cedric said then moved away.
"Your mother even threatened me saying it was my fault. I didn’t refluted her because I do know part of it was my fault." he added. He stood up from the bed, his shoe clanking against the floor as he moved to a wardrobe in a corner of the room.
This room was not as extravagant as the seaside castle, so the rooms were a bit small but still large compared to a normal room. Her eyes followed his every movement. She had a lot of questions for him but didn’t know how to present them.
Would he answer her questions when she was keeping things from him? That aside, she truly didn’t know how to work out their dynamics knowing he loved her, or was it an unhealthy obsession?
She hoped it wasn’t the latter because Cedric did a lot of fucked up things because he was obsessed with Callista. Why was she still thinking about the plot?
Her eyes didn’t leave him for a second, he knew she was watching. A smile hung on his lips as he faced away.
He took his time to change his clothes into something simpler. It was then she noticed the tattoo on his back had changed. Strange. "How did the tattoo change?’" she asked taking no shame in gawking at her husband.
He was hers. After all, if she didn’t admire the work of art in front of her, how perfect all those muscles were without a single scar present, who would?
She was the only one with this privilege, and she was going to use it properly while it lasted. "Did it change? I didn’t notice because it’s hard to stare at my back. I’m glad there is someone who can stare at my back as much as she wants. " Cedric replied and her cheeks went red. Was that a tease?
He slowly rolled down his shirt before turning around. "Can you be serious for once? The designs have changed." Abrielle pouted. Even in the dim lights, he could see her red face clearly.
"I am being serious. Did you enjoy staring at it? You can stare as long as you want all you just have to do is ask." He was truly teasing her. She huffed, then glanced away, finding something more interesting to look at.
"If you are going to just annoy me, you can leave, and I will just stare aimlessly at the walls since I can’t leave here." She whined annoyed by him. Cedric’s gaze flickered. He grabbed a long coat and then walked towards the bed.
The clicking sounds of locks drew her attention to the chains. He was unlocking them. "I don’t know when they changed, I can barely remember the first time they appeared. They aren’t tattoos as you know it the same way the mark on your neck isn’t a tattoo." Cedric explained As he unlocked the chains
Her brows furrowed confused by what he meant. "Then how did you get them. Marks just don’t appear out of nowhere." She asked, then she touched her neck remembering the flame mark appeared out of nowhere.
"When I was 13 the first time I was sent to the front lines. It turned out it was an assassination. My small group was attacked, and I was the last one close to death with a broken sword; a miracle happened. My memories are blurry, but by the time I woke up, my entire back was covered with strange ancient marks, and there was a large pair of black wings." Cedric explained he paused like he was thinking of something.
"Blood was everywhere dripping from my hands. I stood in the middle of hundreds of corpses. That wasn’t enough I marched on my own to the enemy camp and burned it to ashes. I lost consciousness after the carnage on my way back to Darconia hold. By the time I woke up, the wings were gone, but the marks were still there. That was how I got my infamous name, blood lusted demon." He explained to her.freeweɓnovel.cѳm
