The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 604: The real person to kidnap
Chapter 604: The real person to kidnap
Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the Red Moon pack, a man stood with his people behind him as they looked at the three vampires in front of them.
The alpha of the Red Moon pack, Zeus, looked at the man in front of him, unsure of how to put things through.
"So you are saying that we provoked you first by killing your wolves that we have no idea about?" Sebastian asked as he sat on the chair like the monster ready to shred everyone if they made one wrong move towards them.
Though his hands were tied to the chair along with his legs, the aura he was emanating was still one not to be truffled with.
His gaze shifted to his subordinates Lucas and Ambrose, who were barely conscious because of how the wolves attacked them out of the blue and indulged in a gruesome fight.
"What do you mean you have no idea about what we are talking about? 35 wolves of our pack were moving towards the vampire kingdom because we wanted to keep the rogues on the edges. But all 35 of them vanished into thin air.
Only one returned in a barely alive condition. Before he could say anything, he died right in front of me and had a vampire bite on his neck. What is that supposed to mean?" The alpha of the Red Moon pack, who was one of the most powerful wolves himself, stepped ahead.
He looked at the man dead in the eyes, his gaze darkening.
It was no secret that werewolves hated vampires with a passion because they smelt like blood-sucking leeches to them and vampires were no better.
However, even after that, according to the peace treaty, no one was allowed to hurt each other until it came down to a fight or provocation.
And what these vampires did was more than a provocation for a battle.
"I had told your grandfather last time too. As long as you guys don’t cross us, we won’t hurt the kingdom or make any move. How dare you do something like this?" The alpha said and Sebastian scoffed.
"Our vampires didn’t touch even a single werewolf. But judging from what you are saying, I can sense something is amiss," Sebastian said before he looked down at the ropes.
"We didn’t do it. And I can take responsibility for my words. Now do you want to believe us or do you want to fight? I don’t have time for this. I had played enough by rules," Sebastian asked before he pulled his shoulders close and jerked back, breaking the ropes laced with vampire bane in a second.
"It’s been so long since we have been enemies, Zeus. You should know that these normal things don’t work for me," Sebastian said before he threw the ropes on the side and walked to his subordinates.
The only reason he let these wolves bring them here was because he was suspicious that the Red Moon pack was conspiring along with the humans, but he could see that it wasn’t the case.
His people needed some rest too.
It wouldn’t have been hard for him to fight the alpha and his wolves, but he didn’t want to lose his loyal subordinates in that attack. Sometimes it was better to step back to be able to attack better.
"Sebastian, this won’t be over here. I have held back for a really long time in the name of the treaty. I want clear evidence that the vampires weren’t involved or you know what it will lead to. We all know that you guys are already in a jiffy with the humans. Don’t make more enemies than you can handle," Zeus said and Sebastian hummed.
"I can accuse you of the same, Alpha Zeus. Don’t forget that my spies run deep into these forests. You have been seen interacting with the human rogues quite a few times over the past month. Don’t act like a saint. What are the chances that the humans killed those wolves to blame us? Can you really vouch for them?" Sebastian asked, his words surprising Zeus who didn’t have anything to refute with.
Now that he thought about all the events, why would vampires attack them all of a sudden when they hadn’t for so long?
They weren’t stupid enough to provoke another species and start an interspecies war right in the middle of the human-vampire war.
Those humans have been coming to pester him to get along with them so they can take down the vampires. Not only those humans, but some of the alphas have contacted him for the same because their pack is the closest to the vampire kingdom, and if he allowed them to come and stay at his pack, things would be much easier for them.
"You killed my brother! I will kill you! You blood-sucking leech!" Suddenly out of nowhere, a man in his late twenties rushed to where Sebastian was standing, quickly changing into his wolf form as he attacked Sebastian.
However, Sebastian casually raised his hand and grabbed its paw before that wolf could bite Sebastian’s neck. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
He looked at the alpha with quirked brows, making the wolf howl in pain when his hand clutched its neck, ready to snap his bones and free his soul.
"Let him go. He didn’t mean to attack you. Everyone in the pack is edgy because of the sudden devastating news," Zeus said and Sebastian raised the large wolf single-handedly, looking straight into its eyes.
"If you really want to take revenge for your brother’s death, why don’t you go and try to find the truth?" Sebastian scoffed before throwing the wolf away, making it land around 30 m away from them.
Alpha Zeus looked at the raw energy that Sebastian’s aura was oozing and sighed.
"Now that you believe us, give us our phones back. I have to call my wife," Sebastian said.
Zeus didn’t like how the vampire king was so casual about everything.
And why wouldn’t he? It wasn’t his people who died mysteriously. Zeus gritted his teeth and glared at the man.
"You have some nerve to say such things when so many people died mysteriously. No wonder people call you vampires heartless," Zeus scoffed.
Sebastian smirked behind his mask.
"We are heartless for sure. But what I am doing right now is a favor to you. If my wife found out about the accident and that my life was in danger and she came here, she would kill you first and then ask what was the matter," Sebastian said, a soft smile forming on his lips at the thought of his angry wife who has filled his life with love.
Honestly, he didn’t know if it was because he had changed ever since she had come into his life, but if this had happened before he found Elliana, there was no way he would’ve been talking to this alpha so smoothly without his hand in the alpha’s chest, ready to pull out his heart.
Zeus frowned. He could see what the man in front of him was doing. He was trying to tell him that he didn’t need to fight, his wife alone was enough to take down the entire pack.
There was no doubt the man was mocking him and his hands clenched by his side.
He was about to say something when he felt someone’s presence around him and he looked into the sky.
A witch?
Nathaniel, who was roaming above the forest near the packs to locate Sebastian since that wolf mentioned some wolves had been trying to trap the vampire king and take him away, finally paused when he felt the familiar powerful aura through his powers.
He quickly used his powers to lead him in the direction and it wasn’t long before he saw Sebastian standing near his people with his lips pressed into a thin line.
"What’s happening here?" Nathaniel asked as he looked between the alpha and Sebastian.
Seeing Nathaniel coming there, Sebastian’s fists clenched by his side.
He didn’t need to be told what happened and he stepped forward.
"How much does she know?" He asked.
Nathaniel looked at Sebastian’s slightly wounded form and then at Lucas and Ambrose who were healing slowly.
"She knows enough to look for you. Currently, she is following some wolf who made her slam her car into a tree because it appeared in front of her car out of the blue. She was barely able to save herself. The car blasted right on the spot," Nathaniel said, his words making Sebastian’s pupils dilate.
What did he say? Princess was driving and met with an accident. Not only that, but a wolf appeared in front of her too.
Sebastian’s gaze shifted to the alpha standing in front of them as his eyes started to turn dark.
"The same method? Are you courting death, Alpha Zeus?" Sebastian asked, taking a step forward like a beast ready to pounce.
Alpha Zeus, who noticed the vampire King’s angry form immediately went into alert mode.
"I don’t know what he is talking about. We didn’t send any wolf to hurt anyone," Alpha Zeus said.
"He didn’t send him. Rather the wolf said that they wanted to kill it and -"
"That’s not the truth. We have no idea what you are talking about," Alpha Zeus said and realization dawned upon everyone.
It was a trap. A very well-planned trap to bring out Elliana from her protected cocoon so they could kidnap her.
