The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 592: A dream or a prediction.
Chapter 592: A dream or a prediction.
Nathaniel didn’t waste a single second and reached the Black Skull Palace.
He knocked on the door of their room, not wanting to disturb them too abruptly by appearing directly inside the room, not to mention how he was afraid he might get to see something he wouldn’t appreciate.
"Come in," Sebastian’s cold voice resonated and Nathaniel twisted the doorknobs before entering the room, his gaze shifting to the bed where Elliana was sleeping soundly.
"What is it?" Sebastian raised his gaze as he looked at Nathaniel, who was looking at his wife.
"Nothing. I have a few important questions for Elliana, but seeing how she is asleep, I will return later. I apologize for not considering her health," Nathaniel said and was about to leave when Sebastian asked him to wait.
The two of them walked inside the study room where Sebastian told Garry to not allow anyone near the corridor.
Once he closed the door, Sebastian looked at Nathaniel.
"What is it, Sebastian?" Nathaniel asked, unsure of what the man wanted to talk about.
"Elliana’s ninth unlock had already been unlocked, and it was powerful enough to bring back King Eros from that magical realism. However, this act also made her lose a significant amount of Magna. Have you thought about how to restore her Magna for her tenth unlock?" Sebastian didn’t beat around the bush and went straight to the point.
Nathaniel nodded.
He understood what Sebastian was worried about. He wasn’t the only one, in fact, everyone almost had the same thought.
"Don’t worry. We’ll think about something. We still have some time before the symptoms would start to act up again. The person who was provoking her and her powers has been caught already. Her tenth lock wouldn’t unlock soon," Nathaniel said.
However, Sebastian wasn’t satisfied with this answer. And Nathaniel could clearly see why.
If he would’ve been in his place, he wouldn’t have been satisfied either.
"I don’t have anything definite to say to you, Sebastian. How can I give you a clear idea of what’s going on when I am unsure myself?" Nathaniel said before he stood from his place and walked to his table, looking at the photo of Elliana smiling at the camera.
"After you guys left, I went back to my place and thought about everything that happened just to ensure we didn’t leave any loose ends. However, there was indeed something weird I saw. That was the reason I came here the first time. Though Azrael is captured, Arizona still poses a threat to us," Nathaniel said.
Sebastian nodded in understanding.
"If Arizona is truly helping Azrael, the first thing she would think of doing would be releasing Azrael from the witch confinement area. Even if Arizona doesn’t come, Azrael’s minions might do so," Sebastian paused before he picked up the remote from the table and turned on the TV in front of him.
As soon as the TV lit up, the screen immediately showed around 30 live footage from different angles of the witch confinement caves where Azrael was captured.
"I have already asked Lucas to install CCTV and around 40 vampires to keep a look at the area. As soon as any witch moves there, they will attack her. The zone is already prone to witch’s powers which will make her an easy target and ready to be locked," Sebastian explained and Nathaniel nodded at him.
He looked at the man who wasn’t leaving anything and taking every precaution out there.
Was this exactly what they call a power couple? Sebastian and Elliana really suited each other.
A subtle smile appeared on Nathaniel’s face.
"Regarding your brother, Prince Angelo, have you guys found anything about him?" Nathaniel asked.
Sebastian massaged his forehead in annoyance.
"We have been trying to locate him everywhere in the nearby area but he is nowhere to be found. We even asked Madonna if she could help us locate him, but she told us that Azrael probably gave him some kind of anti-locator pendant that doesn’t allow anyone to find out about his whereabouts," Sebastian said.
Nathaniel looked at the man and was about to suggest he look into the places where they thought the rogue vampires might be collecting. The chances of the prince colluding with the human rogues were high too.
However, before he could say anything, someone knocked on the door and Sebastian frowned.
He knew if Garry dared to knock on the door even after he clearly warned him against it, it only meant one thing, this was important.
"What is it?" Sebastian opened the door.
"Sir, it was Miss Zoya. She said that the Princess isn’t taking her medicines and is demanding your presence. She...uh... You should go and check for yourself," Garry said, and Sebastian quirked his brows.
The concern on Garry’s face was a clear indication that something was wrong.
"I am coming," Sebastian said and without wasting a single second, he went straight to their room.
Seeing Elliana standing in the middle of the bed, amusement filled Sebastian’s eyes, until his gaze recognized the panic in her eyes.
"Why did you get up, my love? I just stepped out to talk to your brother over some things," Sebastian whispered, but Elliana just looked at him like she had been wronged and extended her hands.
"I told you to not go and leave me alone, didn’t I? Why did you leave? I had a nightmare just now. In that nightmare, someone took you away from me," Elliana’s eyes brimmed with tears just at the thought of leaving him.
Seeing her drenched form, Sebastian looked at Miss Zoya, who immediately looked down at her feet.
"I heard her silently cry when I was passing by the door. When I opened the door, she was crying in her sleep, so I woke her up forcefully by splashing some water on her,"
"Everyone, step out," Sebastian immediately ordered and everyone did the same.
"Miss Zoya, tell Nathaniel that we will talk later and he should return. I will be spending some time with my princess," Sebastian whispered, picking his woman in his arms as he let her hug him like a koala bear.
"Hey, hey, I am here now. No one is going to take me away from you. No one has the right or power to do so. Don’t be sad my love," Sebastian whispered in her ears, saying sweet things to calm her raging heart.
Even though Elliana wasn’t saying how traumatizing the nightmare was, it was clear from her trembling form that whatever she saw was indeed bad.
Elliana closed her eyes, her fists clenching around Sebastian’s coat, her mind going back to the dream she saw.
Though the dream was vivid, it felt so real that she didn’t know what to think of it. It wasn’t just a normal dream. It looked like a prediction of what was going to happen.
Elliana clenched her eyes shut, a whimper leaving her mouth when she thought about it.
In that dream, around thousands of human rogues paired with the vampire rogues were standing in front of them, ready to attack them. They were being ruled by none other than the royal vampire family.
They were all against them because according to them it was Mr. Marino, who brought the doom to the vampire kingdom.
And it was all related to her. It was all because Mr. Marino didn’t leave her hand when everyone asked him.
They said that all the witches were against them and retaliated because of Elliana’s powers. The royal vampire family gave Mr. Marino an ultimatum that if he wanted to stay the King and live in the vampire kingdom, he needed to leave her.
However, Mr. Marino didn’t agree. He said he would stand by her side even if they were to execute him.
And that was exactly what happened.
The royal family joined hands with all the rogues from both sides and attacked them.
Initially, Elliana thought that her family was by her side, but once their motive of using her was completed, they stepped away.
They said that they didn’t want to intervene in this fight. It was their duty as witches to maintain peace, and they didn’t want to sow discord between the two species after so long.
The only person standing by her side was Mr. Marino.
She had used all her powers and unlocked the tenth lock of her powers right in the middle of the battle. The unlocking caused her to fall to the ground, helpless as her body needed to recuperate.
Since she fell, Mr. Marino was left alone to fight all those people. She saw Prince Angelo rushing ahead and plunging a sharp spear straight through Mr. Marino’s chest while she lay there on the field, helpless.
She kept begging for him to stop and not continue the heinous act. However, no one stepped ahead as she saw life draining out of Mr. Marino’s eyes.
"I love you to the moon and back," These were Mr. Marino’s words before he closed his eyes forever.
Thinking about the dream, Elliana let out another whimper and sniffed in Sebastian’s arms, while he patted her back, seeing the dream in her memories.
"Shhh, Cara. You are breaking my heart like this. No one is going to die. I will always be with you to protect you," Sebastian whispered.
"Am I really an abomination in your life, Mr. Marino?" Elliana whimpered, her words angering Sebastian.
