Chapter 60: Chapter 60- Trading Disciples

As if knowing this would happen, Yoon-Jae tried to dodge the whip but it was just too fast for him.

With a loud swoosh and then a snap, the whip connected with Yoon-Jae’s back.

The scream that followed was wretched, and Sol couldn’t help but feel a shiver go down his spine.

"Master, how can you do this to your disciple?! What would people think if they saw this?!"

Yoon-Jae cried mournfully as he visibly struggled to lift himself up off the ground, but that one whip prove to be too vicious.

Seeing his disciple’s melodramatic performance, Young-Hwa sent the whip flying out again.

"Ah, no wait! Master, I’m sorry! I won’t curse or play pranks again, and I won’t disobey you, just don’t whip me for a second time!"

Yoon-Jae immediately leaped off of the ground and tried to escape.

However, the whip easily caught up to him and made a snapping sound as it connected with his back once more.

Instead of crying out like the first time, Yoon-Jea glared at Young-Hwa before he reluctantly sat cross-legged and began cultivating.

When Sol saw this he realized the whip wasn’t ordinary, along with those hits Yoon-Jae received.

However, when Cheonma saw this he asked.

"Brother, what did you do to this boy?"

Hearing his Master’s words, Sol was confused and he looked towards Young-Hwa.

"Eldest brother, why do you make it sound like that? And brat, never trust this idiot disciple of mine, any cultivator would wish they got even one lash of this whip."

Young-Hwa then flicked his whip and it release a snapping sound as hit Sol’s right leg’s upper thigh.

Sol winced, but after, he was surprised to feel a warm energy seeping into his body and heading for one of his acupoints in his right leg.

Sol hurriedly circulated his cultivation method and supported this energy as it was opening this acupoint.

After a few breaths of time, Sol was dumbfounded to realize this acupoint was halfway from opening.

Currently, he had opened all the acupoints in his left leg and had started on his right. But after that, it was getting harder and harder to open even one acupoint.

Even several days weren’t enough to open one, but this whip allow him to almost open one in an instant!

Sol stared at Yoon-Jae with a bit of envy, and despite his Father’s teachings not to be jealous of others, he couldn’t help it!

But Young-Hwa suddenly said.

"Don’t be so envious brat, you have a Wood-type Innate Dharma so prolonged use of this whip will be detrimental to your future cultivation. Plus, this is more of a curse than a benefit to Yoon-Jae because due to his Ice Spirit Constitution, his meridians and acupoints are covered in a layer of frost. If he were to use normal means to cultivate, even after hundreds of years he might not open all of the acupoints in his body. This whip is made from high-quality materials with a fire attribute, it’s to help defrost his meridians and acupoints so he can cultivate normally."

Sol hearing that had the envious look in his gaze turned to extreme pity.

’Doesn’t that mean Yoon-Jae has to be whipped so he can cultivate?’

Suddenly, Sol remembered the torturous training his Master made him go through.

When Yoon-Jae opened his eyes, he happened to meet Sol’s gaze and the two unknowingly gave each other bitter smiles.

They could see the shared trauma between them.

Cheonma, who thinking about his brother’s words frowned and asked.

"I don’t understand, why did you take on a disciple with the Ice Spirit Constitution? I know it is rare for a male to have this constitution, but do you not specialize in Alchemy? All you’re techniques are fire and wood base."

Young-Hwa smiled when he heard that then said.

"Then I guess we both had to settle with the fact that the disciples we had in mind don’t exist. But who are we to complain? Since you still chose this boy as your disciple when he awaken a Wood-type Innate Dharma then he must have showed other outstanding qualities."

After saying this, Young-Hwa turned to Yoon-Jae and said.

"Show them your Innate Dharmas."

"Innate Dharmas, you have two?!"

Sol looked at Yoon-Jae with surprise.

Yoon-Jea smirked at his reaction before he closed his eyes and call forth his first Innate Dharma.

Soon, a cry from some sort of bird echoed out in the hall almost deafening Sol.

Little Zeel who was lazy sitting in Sol’s lap felt all the hair on his body stand on end, and his heart began to pound with nervousness.

Though this went unnoticed by Sol.

He was too busy watching the projection of a majestic blue bird materializing behind Yoon-Jae.

"An Ice Phoenix..."

Sol heard his Master mutter next to him.

However, what happened next caused Cheonma’s expression to change to one of shock.

Another bird cry could be heard before a red bird was seen materializing behind Yoon-Jae.

"This... he has a Fire Phoenix as well?!"

Cheonma had never seen someone with this type of twin Innate Dharma before.

Not only were they Divine Beasts but they could be called Elemental Divine Beasts. A natural mix of an Elemental Dharma and a Divine Beast Dharma.

However, what truly shocked him was that this brat had awakened two different species of Divine Phoenix with opposing elements!

Although, Cheonma immediately noticed a problem.

As the Fire and Ice Phoenix flew around the pavilion hall, he saw that the Ice Phoenix was significantly bigger than the Fire Phoenix.

"No wonder this child’s appearance looks so feminine, but are you having him cultivate Fire-type Aether to balance out his Ice Element?"

Young-Hwa nodded but also added.

"I created a cultivation method that allows him to cultivate both Fire and Ice-type Aether. It would be a waste to ignore half of his talents. He’ll just have to live with his feminine looks."

Yoon-Jae was heard snorting at that, but Young-Hwa commented.

"You willingly agreed to become my disciple knowing this would happen, I don’t do takebacks!"

"Bastard, you purposely downplayed the consequences of cultivating this technique, I was tricked into becoming your disciple!"

"Ha! You say that, but my disciple, I know what you’ve been doing to mentally scar those poor youths from the other Pavilions as well as the sinister pranks you love to play."

Yoon-Jae huffed.

"They had it coming, I didn’t tell them to not believe me when I say I was a boy."

Young-Hwa shook his head before he ignored Yoon-Jae and said to Sol.

"Brat, go ahead and show me you’re Innate Dharma."

Sol glanced at his Master who nodded.

Getting confirmation, Sol then stirred his Innate Dharma and called it forth. ƒrēenovelkiss.com

A green light emanated from him and encapsulated the entire hall.

Suddenly, the two phoenixes that were flying about immediately retreated.

Yoon-Jae seeing this stared intently at Sol’s Innate Dharma.

However, when the green light faded and he saw that it was just a seedling, he was dumbfounded.

Yoon-Jae couldn’t help but glare at his two Innate Dharmas for retreating because of this thing.

"Haha, it’s actually a seedling. Perhaps I should have this boy as my disciple instead. Brother, do you want to trade disciples?"

"No!"

"No!"

Two shouts immediately echoed out simultaneously.
