Once I returned from interrogating the gods, I didn't spend any more time in the Holy Empire.

The saintess and popes seemed like there was something that they wanted to ask me, but I didn't give them that chance.
After all, I knew that it was related to the reason why I had suddenly come here to talk to the gods. It was just that this wasn't something that I could tell them about right now since it would be easy to misunderstand things if they knew about it too early.
It was still too early for me to let anyone know about this.
Once we returned to the Kite Kingdom, the first thing that I did was head to the elven village.
The one that I was looking for was the elder since she was my only connection with the Elven Kingdom.
After all, I had to go to the Elven Kingdom.
All signs were pointing me to head to the Elven Kingdom to figure out what was happening on my own.
But it wasn't as if I could just head to the Elven Kingdom all of a sudden.
If I actually were to go to the Elven Kingdom without a single word, all that would do is raise their suspicion. Once their suspicion was raised, it would be hard for me to do anything in the Elven Kingdom since they would be watching over me.
So if I really wanted to find out the truth of the matter, that was the last thing that I could do.
The only thing that I could do was go through the proper channels for a visit to the Elven Kingdom.
That meant that before anything else happened, I had to send a message to the Elven Kingdom. And the only one that I knew that could do that was the elder of the elven village.
She still had her connections in the Elven Kingdom capital.
At the same time, she was the one that was in charge of this elven village, so it was only natural that she would be able to contact the Elven Kingdom capital if something went wrong.
But the elder didn't seem willing to do this.
It wasn't that she had something against the Elven Kingdom or that she didn't want to help. It was just that her guilt towards Aisha seemed to be greater than her willingness to help which was what held her back.
After I asked her this, she didn't look at me at all.
She looked at Aisha with a strange look on her face.
It seemed like she was looking at her while also looking like she wasn't looking at her.
It even seemed like she was a bit afraid of how Aisha would react.
Only Aisha didn't seem to say anything even though it was clear that the elder was looking at her.
Though there was some breakthrough in their relationship, it didn't seem like they had reached the point where they were able to talk to each other openly yet. It didn't even seem like they were comfortable being in the same room yet, though they did tolerate each other's presence in the end.
It seemed that this was as far as they were willing to go.
I tried to be as understanding as possible, but it really didn't seem like anything was going to happen.
So in the end, I had no choice but to give a cough to get everyone's attention and then said, "I know how you feel about each other, but this isn't the time."
Turning to Aisha, I said in a serious voice, "You should already know how important this is. The longer that we delay this, the more serious it becomes."
I turned to the elder and said, "She has already said that she is willing to go, but if you're still worried about it, then I'll go alone. This has to be done as soon as possible, for everyone's sake."
That was when Aisha suddenly said, "If you're going, then I'm going. Otherwise, how will you even know where to go?"
The elder had a very strange look on her face when she heard this.
It wasn't that she didn't believe what Aisha was saying, it was just that she still felt guilty towards Aisha and didn't want her to do this.
The elder knew that there were many things that would cause pain for Aisha in the Elven Kingdom capital, which was why she didn't want to do this.
But the final nail in the coffin was…Moon.
She had been silently listening in the entire time, but that didn't mean that she didn't know what was happening.
She came forward to take the elder's hand and said, "Please do this. This really is important or else we wouldn't ask this of you."
When it was her granddaughter that asked this, the elder really couldn't keep a straight face any longer.
With a sigh, the elder said, "It'll take some time for the letter to arrive at the Elven Kingdom capital, I just want you to be aware of that."
There was a trace of difficulty that appeared on my face since…
The elder said with another sigh, "There's nothing that I can do, this is the only way to send a message to them. I'll try to get it to go as fast as possible, but there's not much else that I can do."
After saying this, she stood up and walked over to one of the windows.
With a whistle, there was something that swooped down from the sky and landed on the hand that she had stretched out the window.
When she pulled her hand back in, we saw that it was a hawk.
So this was the method that she was talking about.
It certainly wasn't something that could be rushed, but just her saying that was enough.
"Alright, we'll wait for a response from the Elven Kingdom capital." I said in a calm voice in the end.
After all, there really wasn't anything that could be done.
