I bit the bullet in the end and headed to the Holy Empire after returning to the Kite Kingdom.

I could have stayed in the Kite Kingdom a bit longer, but the thought was like there was an itch in the back of my head. This itch just wouldn't go away no matter how I tried to ignore it and I had no choice but to find the answer that would alleviate this itch.

That was why I was heading to the Holy Empire.

That was the place where I could hopefully get the answer that I wanted.

As for why it was the Holy Empire, it was the only place that I could actually talk to the gods.

To meet with the gods required a large concentration of divine energy and the only places that kind of divine energy could gather were places close to the gods themselves.

A place like the Holy Empire's main church was the best place for that since it was where the faith of countless people were concentrated.

That made it a very important place for the gods.

When we arrived in the Holy Empire, we were greeted by not just the saintess who had come back with the Relic of Destruction, but also the popes of the Holy Council. It seemed that all of them were very happy to see that I was here and it even seemed that they had a misunderstanding of the reason why I was here.

Naturally I quickly shut down any misunderstandings that they had.

"I'm just here to discuss something with the gods."

The moment that they heard this, they didn't get in our way at all. It even seemed like they were determined to send us to see the gods as soon as possible with the way that they acted.

But once again, I didn't bother to clear up this misunderstanding.

Though thinking about it, it really wasn't a misunderstanding.

What they thought was that this was related to the Relic of Destruction and the God of Destruction and it wasn't as if that was wrong.

After all…if the elves really did have these ruins, then there might be a Relic of Destruction hidden there.

So that was a matter that had to be dealt with for the safety of the entire continent.

With them clearing the path, I easily made my way to the main church's chapel.

Then it was all about calling the gods.

"Vivrum! Get out here!" That was what I shouted in my mind as I stood there alone in the chapel.

It didn't take long for a flash of light to appear and I was pulled into the same realm as before.

However, it wasn't Vivrum alone that was here.

There was also Solista and a few more gods that were here as well.

With the way that they were sitting around a table, it even seemed like they had been in the middle of having tea and snacks.

The way that I stood there made it seem like I was barging in on them…

But I held firm as I looked at Vivrum and asked, "What is the meaning of this?"

It was clear that they were surprised with the way that they looked at me, but it didn't take long for them to calm down. Or rather, it seemed like they had read my mind and figured out what I was referring to, which was why they calmed down.

It even seemed like Vivrum was trying to prepare an answer with the way that she looked at me.

After a moment of silence, she finally said, "I really have no idea what you're talking about. I've never heard of something like this from my followers and I've never actually seen this before."

I couldn't help deeply knitting my brows when I heard this.

I looked at her with narrowed eyes to show that I was questioning her before saying, "Are you certain that you don't know anything about this?"

Vivrum just gave a slow nod before saying, "I really don't know anything about this."

I couldn't be sure that I could trust her when she said this since the odds of a god not knowing something was very slim. It could be very likely that she actually knew something and just didn't tell me because she was protecting her followers…

"Gods are powerful, but there are still things that we can't do. You should know that already since you've seen how we've struggled against the God of Destruction." Solista suddenly cut in.

I narrowed my eyes to look at her before saying, "Then are you saying that this is related to the Relic of Destruction?"

Solista calmly shook her head before saying, "I never said that. I'm just saying that there are things that gods can't interfere with in this world. Even if you want us to give you the answer, this isn't something that we can do."

There was a firm tone in her voice that made it seem like there was no argument to be brokered. It seemed that this was all that she was able to say on this matter and she wouldn't give me any other information.

So taking a deep breath, I said with a nod, "Alright, I'll leave things here."

But before leaving, there was something that I had to add, "If it turns out that they have turned against the rest of the world, you have to understand what I have to do."

It wasn't a threat, it was a simple fact.

The reason I said this was because I didn't want there to be any misunderstandings or hard feelings between me and the gods. This was something that they should know as well.

I just wanted to make sure that our relationship was still preserved.

Vivrum and Solista both nodded to show their understanding after hearing this.

With that, I asked, "Can you send me back then?"

This would have been the time for me to leave, but I honestly didn't know how to do it on my own.

But they still sent me back to the chapel.
