Chapter 778: Chapter 778: Abigail, can that young master really do it or not!

This kiss left Abigail dizzy. By the time he let her go, they had arrived at the medical university. She was still lightheaded from lack of oxygen when getting out of the car.

Brandon Piers looked at her dazed and adorable expression and almost didn’t want to go to work. He reached out with a long arm to pull her in for another kiss, but then Kelvin Max, sitting in the front, ruined the moment by urging, "Second Master, we should go."

"Pullan will stay with you. I’ll pick you up when I’m done." Brandon regrettably pinched Abigail’s red ear lobe.

Abigail’s ear itched from the pinch. She tilted her head, rubbing against the back of his hand, "Go on."

Brandon reluctantly pulled his hand back this time.

After he left, Abigail headed towards the campus, with Pullan following behind her like a guardian beast. The two walking one in front of the other stood out conspicuously, especially since Abigail had been getting a lot of attention due to the matters with the Piers family. As soon as she entered the campus, she felt all sorts of gazes directed at her.

Fortunately, Abigail had long trained herself to ignore others’ stares. She paid no mind to the attention she received and walked to her classroom in time.

Lena Locke had been waiting outside. Seeing Abigail approach, she quickly waved to her but then noticed Pullan behind her. Her eyes lit up, "Abigail, did your cousin come to protect you?"

Abigail nodded. She hadn’t seen her in several days. Looking at the little girl, she felt unexpectedly close and couldn’t help but reach out to rub her head, but Lena dodged it and slightly complainingly said, "Can you not rub me like you do Threo?"

Abigail’s hand froze in the air, suddenly realizing that every time Brandon rubbed her head, it indeed looked a lot like petting a dog. Her expression was indescribable.

Luckily, after Lena complained, she greeted Pullan and pulled Abigail into the classroom. After briefly explaining the exam situation, she started asking about the things on Twitter.

With Lena’s questions, the others also crowded around, eyes bright with gossip.

"Abigail, you really didn’t force the Second Master to post on Twitter?"

"The Second Master actually did so much homework just to customize a weight loss plan for you? Unbelievable."

"Was what happened last time really a misunderstanding?"

"..."

They were even more enthusiastic than tabloid reporters. Abigail felt a bit overwhelmed but still answered their questions one by one. After hearing her answers, their eyes shone even brighter. Their previous prejudice against Brandon had lessened considerably.

Just when Abigail thought she had finally dealt with this group, Lena unbelievably blurted out, "Abigail, can the Second Master manage it?"

Abigail instantly froze, "..."

The others gave Lena a big thumbs up.

Abigail gave the girl a disdainful look. Suddenly, she remembered Brandon’s recent strange behavior. Could it be because he had always remembered Lena’s last words to her, which led to him tormenting her to prove himself?

Thinking of this, Abigail shuddered and dared not be vague with Lena Locke. She pulled the girl close and whispered something in her ear.

Lena, being young, blushed immediately after hearing it. She gave Abigail a shy glare and then turned to shout at the others, "The exam’s about to start. What are you all standing around for? Sit down."

Ralf Harvey and the others still wanted to ask more questions but were stopped by Lena’s glare. Just then, the invigilating teacher came in and distributed the exam papers, quieting the classroom.

Abigail saw Lena’s expression and couldn’t stop laughing. She realized the girl only liked to put on airs. Once she spoke, she got shy easily. Just as she was enjoying herself, Lena turned and glared at her again, so Abigail held back.

Two exams in the morning, three in the afternoon. Abigail had finished early and came out just after five. She was about to ask Brandon what time he’d be off work when Pullan approached with a serious expression, "Madam, let’s get in the car first."

"What happened?" Abigail felt uneasy seeing Pullan’s stern look.

Pullan walked quickly, and Hughes drove the car into the school. Seeing that Pullan didn’t answer, Abigail didn’t press him and followed him into the car.

Hughes didn’t drive out through the main gate but took a small, secluded gate usually closed. As the car passed the main entrance, Abigail saw many reporters blocking the gate. She frowned and checked her phone, seeing a message from Brandon, "Wait for me at home."

Abigail thought for a moment and opened Twitter. After a few scrolls, she saw the news about the Piers.

The first tweet on the official Twitter account was an announcement that Brandon Piers had resigned from his position as president of Piers due to personal issues, with Joshua Piers taking over. freewebnøvel.com

Brandon had been in the spotlight because of Abigail recently. In the morning, he had shown off his love, feeding the public a mouthful of witness PDA. In the afternoon, he resigned from his position at Piers Group. Connecting this with the lawsuit Brandon was involved in, people thought it wasn’t voluntary.

There were all sorts of rumors online. It was quite lively.

Abigail closed her phone, understanding why reporters were surrounding her.

"Madam, please don’t worry too much," Pullan softly comforted when he saw Abigail remain silent after checking her phone.

Abigail glanced at Pullan, not bothering to respond, and closed her eyes. She then retrieved her phone to call Headmaster Theodore.

Cameron Theodore had taken up Brandon’s request to keep Abigail delayed last time, but Abigail had left that very night. Failing to account to Brandon, he had taken the money and gone on a tour of the Americas with others. Seeing Abigail’s call, he almost dropped his phone in the sea. Steadying himself, he answered in a headmaster’s tone, "Is it Abigail? What’s up?"

"Headmaster Theodore, I’d like to borrow your research lab equipment." Abigail knew he was in the Americas, so she got straight to the point without much small talk.

Cameron Theodore had been worried about returning to face Brandon’s reckoning. Hearing Abigail’s unexpected request to borrow the lab, he agreed immediately without thinking.

Abigail had guessed he would agree but didn’t expect the old miser to agree so readily. Shortly after hanging up, she received the password.

Regardless of why the old man agreed, she had managed to resolve one issue.

Just as the lab issue was resolved, Abigail couldn’t help but glance at Brandon’s earlier message. She thought for a bit and asked, "Where are you now?"

But Brandon didn’t reply for a long time.

Abigail’s frown deepened. Suddenly, she looked at Pullan in the front passenger seat.

Pullan, sitting calmly, suddenly tensed up. Feeling the dangerous look from the back, he turned slowly, "Miss... Madam, is there something you need?"

"Where is your Second Master now?" Abigail asked slowly, with a warning in her gaze, as if saying that if Pullan dared to say he didn’t know, she would let him taste the silver needles.

Pullan shivered, feeling distressed but unable to say anything. He could only reply pitifully, "The Second Master told me not to tell."

Abigail smiled, "Hmm?"

Her smile made Pullan’s defenses crumble completely. He shrunk away, "The Second Master went to see Lawyer Jones. He probably didn’t want you to know. I guess you can figure out the reason."

Abigail was taken aback, then burst into laughter, "Pullan, you’re a real talent!"

Such imagination!

And her possessive king, was it necessary?
