Chapter 78: You Are Not A Spencer!

"Uncle Willow, what’s happening? What are you doing to my nanny and Neil?"

Aurora asked calmly, though inwardly, she began to plan her escape without harming Tina and Neil.

"I really don’t want to resort to violence, Aurora. I only hope to resolve this peacefully as quickly as possible, and the last thing I want is to hurt you in any way..." Willow spoke in a threatening tone.

Aurora could see his malicious intent in his gaze, which made her want to curse him right then and there.

However, she held back, eager to know precisely what he wanted.

"I assume you know about your father’s will, right?" Willow asked again after noticing she remained silent and just stared at him.

Aurora responded with a slight nod, realizing that Ryan must have informed Willow about it.

"Your father was not well at that time. He didn’t realize he had created a faulty will."

Willow sighed, seemingly expressing disappointment, as he stared at Aurora with a gentle gaze. Yet, this only made her feel uneasy to see his malicious stare.

"My unfortunate older brother James gave you several acres of land and property passed down from our father and ancestors. His mind no longer functions properly to remember that those properties only belong to Spencer."

Aurora raises her brow slightly at his words but remains silent, simply gazing at him.

"And since you are not a Spencer, you cannot own that property, dear niece. You must return it to us as the rightful owners," Willow said softly, yet his words instantly made Aurora feel her blood boil.

While listening to Willow’s remarks, Aurora realized where the conversation was headed. This old man and the others were after her father’s inheritance. How shameless!

After hearing Willow’s sorrowful remarks about their ancestor, Aurora finally responds, "Uncle, how can you think I am not a Spencer?"

Aurora was confused about this. In her—Aurora Spencer—memory, there was nothing to suggest that she was not her father’s biological child. How could this man readily claim she was not part of the Spencer family?

"Oh dear, why do you keep asking?" Willow chuckled, adjusting his glasses before adding, "You’re a woman. How could you give Spencer a line? You can’t, my dear... Ultimately, all your future children will take your husband’s name, not ours!"

Aurora was speechless.

She couldn’t believe she was having this kind of conversation with such a shameless guy.

How could he utter those words solely to steal her inheritance?

Aurora snarled, fixing her cold gaze on Willow Spencer. "Uncle Willow, how can you say that? I’m still a Spencer, and whatever my father gives me will belong to me. I will sell or give that property to someone; that’s none of your business."

Willow was surprised to hear that, but instead of feeling angry, his hearty laughter resonated loudly, leaving Aurora even more speechless.

"Oh, my dear Aurora, I understand, I truly do..." Willow chuckled as he turned back, heading towards the study table in the corner. "Aurora, come here..." His tone was commanding.

Clenching her hand tightly, Aurora no longer focused on Willow Spencer; her eyes landed on Tina.

Aurora disregards his stern order. Instead, she says, "Uncle, free Aunty Nora and Uncle Neil! I won’t bow down to your requests until you release them." She said firmly.

She wanted to sprint towards Tina, but her attention was drawn to a dagger wielded by one of the men, now aimed at Tina’s neck.

Even with her speed and agility, the roughly ten-meter distance kept her from saving Tina, which frustrated her.

"Aurora!"

Willow’s cold voice echoed, adding to the tension in the room.

Aurora turned her gaze to Willow.

His cold smile slowly emerged on his lips before he continued, "You know you don’t have the privilege to negotiate with me, right? Come here immediately, or your nanny and Neil will follow your father and mother to the afterlife..."

"Young Miss..." Neil’s shaking voice broke through Aurora’s frustration.

Aurora shifted her focus and saw a man gripping his hair anxiously, his eyes fixed on the ceiling.

"Please, please, help us, Miss... Please don’t let them kill us. I beg you..." Neil pleads.

Aurora sighed deeply, feeling anxious about seeing them torturing Neil. She said nothing to him but turned her gaze toward Tina.

She noticed Tina’s tears streaming down her cheeks and saw her trying to speak, although no words could be heard since her lips were still sealed with duct tape.

Aurora couldn’t catch her words, yet from Tina’s sorrowful eyes, she understood that Tina was also pleading for help.

’God! Should I give in and follow what this shameless man wants me to do?’ Aurora vents her frustration in her mind.

Aurora glanced around the room and tried to gather her thoughts and soothe her nerves. She realized that Willow Spencer was the only family member there.

However, this shameful man brought twelve people with him into the room, and one or two others waited outside.

All the men with him appeared pretty intimidating. Their expressions and auras would scare anyone who saw them.

"Aurora! What are you waiting for? Come over quickly and sign this agreement! You will transfer all the property your father gave you to me..." Willow Spencer’s commanding voice boomed again.

She clenched her fists and dragged her feet toward her father’s desk. She positioned herself not beside Willow but on the opposite side of the desk.

From her position, she noticed the individuals near the door. They were wielding sharp weapons, but thankfully, none appeared to carry guns, which relieved her.

What brought her even more relief was that the distance to Tina was now only half what it had been from where she was standing. Suddenly, an idea struck her.

Her heart raced as a faint smile gradually formed on her lips.

’Gosh, it seems I have no choice but to use violence!’

"My goodness, Aurora Spencer, why are you being so stubborn!? Please hurry and sign the paper. I don’t have much time to play with you, my dear..."

Willow spoke softly, yet a hint of malice lingered in his eyes.
