Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!-Chapter 266: I DIDS IT I FOUNDEDEDED TWEASUREE
Day 18
"Sigh, another Day spent sitting in one spot playing Mosquito man," Aoni mused while collapsing on the ground and curling up into a ball. Although today was quite monumental, as it marked the end of his working with Grade-7 Energia, that didn't make him feel any better.
Even watching the numbers tick up subtly had lost its luster in Aoni's eyes. Really, the only thing he wanted to do was leave the wildlands and return to his Territory.
Talking to Nyria through the LoS was fine and dandy, and while she was a large, if not the biggest, part of why he wanted to return to the Cavern, he was completely done with sleeping on the floor every day and sharing a space with Glacia.
It was utterly impossible to count the number of black eyes and bruises he'd gotten each night, and he was just ready to have his own bed back.
Speaking of the floof, she was having the time of her life. Every day is a new adventure, but what more could you expect from the chaotic little ball of fluff?
Staring up at the Stone Door, the difference between when he'd first arrived and now was staggering; more than 85% of the Runes covering its surface were now dim, never to relight again, yet it would be that final 15% which would prove the most challenging for Aoni.
'I guess it's time to upgrade my Siphon; I will say, though, it's extremely annoying that I didn't get the kind of gains I was hoping for….' Slowly turning his head to the side, Aoni looked over his TD and felt a bit disheartened by the fact that of the 19 things he could potentially Limit Break, only 11 had been completed.
All four of his stats were, of course, on the list of Limit Broken items. In the case of passives, Pain Resistance, both swordsmanship, the two manipulations, and his inventory filled up most of the remaining slots, with the final two being for his Rank Potential and soon-to-be Energia Siphon.
It was an incredibly simple choice for Aoni to overlook things like construction or Farming; however, the fact that he needed to leave his resistances apart from Pain alone hurt his heart.
'Seven passives didn't make the cut…but it's fine; once I reach 4-Star, they can be naturally upgraded, just like my Grade Potential; as for my Rank Potential…well, that needed to happen, or else I couldn't actually keep going with adding points to my stats.'
'hehe, still, it's going to be hilarious when I am able to keep up with Clara…that is to say, I have enough Progress points to bring everything past C-Rank and into B...'
That last thought caused Aoni to pause as his mind went hazy for a moment.
'An Orange Card with all B-Rank stats…that's some legendary shit right there; wait, wouldn't that make me a young Supreme, able to fight above my Grade?'
"Oh, done already, I thought you said it would take you a few more hours before you finished off the Grade-7 Energia?" Walking down the stairs with not one, not two, but three bulging backpacks between himself and Glacia, Anthony said while making an appearance for the first time in 16 hours.
"Yeah, I didn't wanna start the last phase tonight since the DayCelest will be going down in about two hours, so I called it."
"GAOOOOO!"
{'BRODDER I FOUNDEDEDED A SPRECIAL THINGY!'} Entering furry missile mode and launching herself across the chamber into Aoni's embrace, Glacia babbled. frёeωebɳovel.com
"Oh? Y'all found something good today?"
"There was no 'Y'all', it was all her this time. Apparently, this civilization's Mage Tower's lower levels were still intact underground, and since the formations had long since lost their power, we were able to raid the warehouse and treasury."
"OoOoOoO!"
{'I DIDS IT I FOUNDEDEDED TWEASUREE!!!'} Using her snout to open her pack, Glacia did the unthinkable and…buried Aoni under a literal mountain of books and items before he even had enough time to scream for help.
---
"And you understand what you did was wrong, right?"
"gaooo…"
{'Sworry brodder Glaci gots too hypey,'}
"I'll let it slide, but if you had done that to your sister, she could have been seriously hurt. I'm a bit more sturdy, but you need to be careful now; help me make some neat piles of books over there, containers there, and items there…" After digging himself out of the chaos his floof had created and giving her a good scolding, Aoni, with the help of Glacia and his brother, began sorting out the haul.
---
"Got another fire grimoire here, Ant," Poking his head around a pyramid of stacked books, Aoni called out from over 45 feet away from Ant.
"Nice! Hey, are you really sure it's okay that you give all this to me? I mean, I know you don't use fire spells or anything like that, but still, these books could fetch hundreds of thousands of bucks, if not more, each if we could get adequate translations." Anthony answered while weaving his way through the maze of towers and pyramids to his brother's side.
"Dude, for the 10th time, yes, it's fine; I don't give a shit about selling them in the first place. As far as I see it, this is Thurston knowledge, and Thurston knowledge stays in the family. If we can use it, we will; if not, we sell it; the same goes for anything usable for Dad, Clara, and Char; that's why we are sorting everything here and not waiting till we get back."
"Uh-huh, surrre, and it totally doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you want to procrastinate breaking the seal."
"Oi, say that again and see if I don't start a fire to toss your books into!" Aoni shouted defensively…because that was EXACTLY his reason behind spending the last three hours organizing books.
Thankfully, Anthony's ability to sense Energia with ease and Aoni's new Display made it rather simple to figure out what was what.
