Chapter 75: A green tea’s opportunity.
In the morning, Mei Mei woke up to the warmth of a partner in her bed. She thought immediately that it was Mingzhu so she raised her right leg and threw it on top of her daughter.
She could feel the light rays of the sun seeping into the room and feel the morning breeze. As long as the sun was up, it meant it was time to get up as well.
"Lazy piglet, woke up." she muttered.
She had yet to open her eyes, so she just moved a hand to pinch the soft cheeks of her daughter. The cheeks that she touched were not chubby or soft. They were smooth and the cheekbones were sharper. Slowly, her eyes fluttered open, a frown above her brows as she glanced upon her bed mate.
It was not Mingzhu, it was Jingzhe!!!
She scrambled and sat up, nearly biting her tongue off in a state of panic. "Mo Jingzhe!!"
Mo Jingzhe had been pretending to be asleep, he opened his eyes slowly, yawning like a kitten. "Mmmm." he responded. He sat up and looked around, appearing to be clueless about where he was.
Meanwhile, Mei Mei was looking at her outfit, she was fully clothed. Somehow, she had gone to be bed in the I want to be spanked shirt and pants. The denim jacket was gone as were her shoes.
Relieved because she was sure that she had not engaged in any mischief with Jingzhe, she exhaled loudly. Nevertheless, her heart was pounding furiously.
"Sister, what are you doing in my bed?" he asked in an innocent voice.
Mei Mei’s eyes widened and she looked around. This bedroom was indeed not hers. For one, there was a significant lack of Mingzhu’s toys, shoes, dresses, books, pencils.....in general Mingzhu’s property. Mingzhu had a habit of using Mei Mei’s bedroom as hers so her things were always scattered in the room. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Even when it cleaned, the toys were put on the bed or side table for easy access.
"What am I doing here?" Mei Mei asked herself.
She recalled drinking wine with Rose, singing, dancing which was more like jumping around while Mingzhe judged them with his eyes that looked tired. She could not remember how they got home. "A Zhe, did you drive us back?"
Jingzhe shook his head. "Your brother made me drink at least ten glasses of wine..or was it beer? I remember Rose challenging someone to something she called a slipper off and then....." he winced and shook his head. "I think soldiers brought us back home."
"Where is my phone?" Mei Mei asked herself. She turned to ask Jingzhe the same question but then he pulled off his shirt and she found herself momentarily speechless. Why was he undressing?
She was about to ask the question when she recalled that this was his bedroom. If anybody had a right to be shirtless in there, it was him. He could even parade or dance around naked if he wished, it was his right.
Her smart watch was still on her wrist, it rung, playing one of Mingzhu’s favorite songs sweet sunshine and snow. The identity of the caller made her frown.
"Why is this scum calling me so early in the morning?" she muttered.
"Sister, can you check my wounds?" Jingzhe asked.
He dragged himself from the left side of the bed on his knees and stopped in front of her.
"Host, don’t me wake up." C4 said to her.
[Mission. Wake up and cater to the green tea.
Failure: Death-any death.
Reward: gene altering serum fit for Mingzhu]
In an instant, Mei Mei was awake more than before and she was so ready to touch every part of Jingzhe’s body. She ignored Mo Liang’s call and looked at Jingzhe’s chest and abdomen. There were no wounds, just fading bruises from the last beating.
Her mind took a turn from looking at the bruises to appreciating his chest. She did not even notice when she started making the smile that Mingzhu had mimicked out for Feng Qi.
Mei Mei sighed slowly. Her hand that was supposed to be tracing bruises and checking for residual pain started tracing abs.
Mo Liang called again and he broke her concentration. Irritation clouded her mind and she switched off the watch.
Jingzhe wanted to somersault and shout yes when she did that. The smile on his face was like that of a man that had just won a lottery. Until the day she divorced or confirmed a relationship with him, he would not rest easy.
He was worried that Mei Mei might change her mind and forgive Liang. They would go back to being a family and he would be on the outside, watching the woman he loved trapped in an unhappy marriage with a man that did not love her but used her as a stepping stone.
Jingzhe bit his bottom lip. A green tea was shameless and selfish in pursuit of their goal. Mei Mei was in his bed, wouldn’t he be an idiot if he did not get a hug or a kiss at least?
Rule 9: Every opportunity is your opportunity to act.
Mo Jingzhe took a deep breath and he let out a fake shout as he fell downwards, landing on Mei Mei. His weight pushed her down on the mattress and he landed on top of her.
As he raised himself on his arms, he said softly, "Sister, sorry. I slipped."
Mei Mei rolled her eyes, she almost wanted to burst into laughter. What had Mo Jingzhe slipped on? A banana peel? Some liquid soap?
When Mei Mei raised her eyes, she saw the slow sexy smile on his face and it hit her like a punch to the gut. Mo Jingzhe was charming!!! So charming that he could melt a block of ice. He had probably broken his fair share of hearts with his gorgeous face and smile.
When had he changed into a charming man? Had he always been that way and she simply didn’t see it?
"A Zhe are you dating anyone?" She asked.
Mo Jingzhe shook his head. "Sister, I don’t like the women outside. I only like you. Your A Zhe is allergic to other women."
His charming smile took on a lazy quality, his allure doubled just enough to draw her in. This was the kind of smile that made one think about it all day, wondering what it meant because it held a little mystery.
Damn! he even knows how to turn up the charm, she thought.
From under the pillow, Mei Mei’s phone started to ring. She had a feeling that it was Mo Liang and so did Mo Jingzhe.
He leaned down and buried his face in her neck. "Sister, can you not answer?" he asked.
Mei Mei looked at the ceiling and she exhaled, measuring her breaths. Mo Jingzhe, she decided, was not good for her health. Her heart specifically because it started to pound uncontrollably.
Damn it! What is wrong with me? She asked herself.
