Jayden only shrugged. "The last time I checked, I was the one who gave you my number. You should have been the one calling," he replied, still polite and calm.

"All right, then. That’s aside. Are you going to be alone today? How about we meet?" she said in a vitally demanding tone, making Jayden’s eyes light up.

With a quick thought, he knew this was a great chance.

"Uh... Actually, I’m quite busy today. How about some other time? I mean four or five days from now?" Jayden asked.

"Not bad. Just wanted to meet up with you. Since you’ve now decided to always sit somewhere far from me in class and leave without saying hi," Paula said, though with a tone that held no resentment.

Jayden also understood her... All this while, he had always attended lectures with only one aim in mind:

His mind had definitely gone far from Paula, and he clearly hadn’t gotten much greenlight from her.
