I Will Survive Till The End: Blood Extermination Academy-Chapter 84: Clean Up
Chapter 84: Clean Up
Arc 2, Chapter 84 — Clean Up!
.
.
"These unholy creatures are up to something." Gaara’s eyes gleamed with a strange light. "Don’t you think it’s strange that we’ve suddenly gotten a Dalmatian of spotted attacks occurring randomly all over the place?"
"Hmmm." Medoku placed his hands in his pockets, reaching for a peculiar coin. "I agree. I don’t like this one bit. I smell trouble... I sense they’re intentionally keeping us busy. But for what?"
Having known his Lieutenant for a long time, Gaara was amused. "What does your destiny-choosing coin say this time?"
"Head, laugh all you want, but I’ve never made any decision without flipping my coin. So far, its never let me down."
Medoku paused, flipping the coin.
"It’s tails... Danger is nearing our Organization. This time, one that might leave the Order Crippled." Medoku concluded.
"Oh?" Gaara teased, not taking Medoku’s coin prediction to heart. "Well then, we shouldn’t have finished them off, no?"
Wasn’t there always trouble coming after the organization? Tell him something he doesn’t know.
Gaara rolled his eyes heavenwards, a little annoyed by Medoku’s earlier words on the level of destruction behind him.
Sigh...
Again he asked, was it his Shard with a violent one?
As for the cathedral... the front of the cathedral looked nice and all. But when one goes around the building, they’ll see that a big chunk of the entire back wall has fallen from the ground floor up.
The entire place was full of rubble and dirt.
Walking into the rain, the two soon vanished into the night once more—two hunters bound by blood and purpose.
Today’s matter must definitely be reported. Those unholy creatures were up to something.
As they moved through this desolate open lands transformed by rain, Gaara’s laughter echoed again.
His laughter was like a sound that promised more battles to come against foes both worthy and strong.
.
.
Like so, matters in the outside world showed more troubles brewing in the dark.
Back in the Order’s well-guarded vicinity, the atmosphere was stiff.
Perhaps due to Winhest’s words, several people trained endlessly, pushing themselves to the limits till they made substantial breakthroughs.
Classes were every 3 days. No matter when the 3rd day fell, be it on a Saturday, Sunday or even Friday, they still had to head in for lectures.
Thus, on days when there were no classes, they pushed themselves 10 times harder.
The Competitions would soon begin, and only a fool would relax at a time like this. The sounds of weapons clashing in the many training rooms, as well as outside the surrounding courtyard and garden spaces.
In this way, time flickered by in a blink of an eye.
Soon, the weekly Cleanup day had come.
Tying scarves around their heads and using the many cleaning gloves, they divided themselves evenly, everyone knowing what sections to target.
"What the heck? Why do they have to build such a massive mansion when it’s just a handful of us?" Shugo muttered, with his hands extended before his chest.
Sweat dropped down his forehead, as he kept controlling his magnified fork shard.
Clean, clean, clean...
Underneath his Fork sharp was a floor rag soaked with cleaning detergent.
That’s right—Cleaning detergent.
So what if you are a bloody Vampire Hunter? Does that mean your home should be riddled with dust and covered in dirt? No way? Get your asses up and clean after yourselves!
Shugo was sweating buckets when carefully running his shard Fork and the cloth it pinned against the ground.
If one looks around, they will also see how careful everyone was cleaning when using their Shard’s abilities.
"Almost there... almost there... Ahhhh!"
A loud cry bellowed from a distance, but many dared not get too distracted by it.
For sure, someone must have—
"DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT!"
The voice from the other end bellowed.
"Son of a FISH, it’s you! It’s all your fault! If you didn’t sing like a stuffed whale, how could I have accidentally punched a hole on the ground using my Shard Hammer? Do you think we’re at the opera or something?"
The person yelling, soon dropped on his knees, staring at the giant hole in horror.
What to do? What to do?
His breathing became shallow, as a thousand knots now tightened in his chest.
Why? Why? Why him?
Even the blind could see the murderous intent on his face.
"I swear, you will pay!"
"Tsk, Neurotic. Are you sick? I’m singing while cleaning up like I usually do. No one here has broken anything despite my singing, except you... so who is really to blame here?"
"Why YOU—"
If not that fighting indoors except the training rooms was prohibited, the 2 would have long fought to the death, especially the guy who accidentally cashed such a colossal home on the ground.
It was like the size of a Jacuzzi pool. Just staring at the hole could make one dizzy.
Dammit.
The person who accidentally created the hole, felt like crying but had no tears.
In this place, what was the thing they all learned to value greatly?—TIME.
Clara had specifically told them that each week, they must pick a cleanup day(s) and clean the space.
Even if they have classes on the day or days chosen, they must ensure to complete all cleanup before Midnight.
Now, judging from the size of this place, it would be impossible for them to clean it up in under a day or even a week. But with their shard abilities, that’s a different matter altogether.
Of course, they don’t expect them to clean the entire mansion that was insanely wide.
The Grand mansion was divided into sections, and each week, they had to tackle 1 or 2 sections. They had to do these sections in weekly rotations, but MUST ALWAYS clean up the training spaces, the spaces overlooking their rooms, the baths, as well as the main entrance space.
Clara had stated clearly, that after every cleaning day, there’ll be an inspection.
Who broke what? Who damaged what? Who destroyed what? Clara would look at the damage and give a score.
The more everyone thought of it, the more they decided to focus on the task before them. They had goosebumps just thinking of Clara’s cruelty, should they fall prey to this matter.
There was a massive hole in the ground around the guy who was wailing in agony.
That’s it, those who destroy the Order’s property, will be sanctioned!
"Bloody Hell! What should I do now?"
"Bastard! Because of your yelling, my shard has dug into the walls! That’s it, you and me, outside now! I’ll make you pay!"
Some had red blood eyes, cursing to the skies when knowing they’ll be going back out again.
One in particular wanted to cry.
Are you kidding her? Her Punishment period officially came to an end yesterday. And now, she has to go back out there again?
UNWILLING.
She was very unwilling.
.
.
Soon, time dwindled down in a flash, with a majority of the work coming to an end.
"Great!" Leo exclaimed, wiping his nonexistent years away. "No damage... no damage... Tsk. Sure enough, I’m just too invincible."
"Pfft. Just you?" Rayna chuckled, showing off the shiny sections she had cleaned. At the same time, she was secretly happy that she also didn’t break anything too.
The bigger the damage, the more Damage Score (D.S) points would get tallied high.
Know that 1,000 DS points equates to 1 month of punishment.
It should be noted that one can clean as they usually do, but they must use their Shard abilities at least once every hour, for an extended period.
If they fail to do so, they will automatically get 12 months of punishment time instead. It was all a trap.
Don’t ask them how Clara will know if they used it or not. They dared not take such a risk. Who knows if that she-devil will do to them when she finds out they slacked out from using their abilities?
Time was the one thing they dared not play with.
Like so, clean up day soon came to an end with yet another visit from Clara.
As per usual, she noted those who damaged property, tallying them their current DS scores.
She tallied the score of what was examined now and that of what has been examined since their coming into the mansion. If it amounted to 1000 DS points, their punishment starts tomorrow.
In a flash, she was done, adding all damages to her list and headed out in a blink of an eye.
However... no one was ready to sleep yet.
Why? Because just recently, some people like Shugo, Rolo and others, had thought of the brilliant idea of stealing several assorted and odd birds from the nearby forests.
Well, the rules did say they must be detected to be asleep.
So as long as they don’t trigger any alarm bells, they should be good to barbecue in peace, no?
