Back to Class!
Winhest strode into the classroom, surveying the classroom calmly.
His overly short brown hair with blond highlights, gave the illusion it swayed with his movements.
At the center of the space, he slowly faced them, his voice now dripping with mockery.
"I’m sure you all are wondering: where the other 6 who didn’t have to go through punishment earlier, are."
"I’ll just say it now. They, my chosen puppies, will be having classes once every 2 days for longer periods.. 20 minutes to be precise."
Winhest paused, massaging his chin thoughtfully. "From now on, you and they are worlds apart. They’ve already impressed me, far exceeding my expectations. So they deserve 20 minute class time every 2 days."
Of course whether he attends the entire 20 minutes of class time, ist still up to him, Winhest. Still, he would be giving them more attention than everyone else! ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
This guy..
Everyone suddenly felt choked and unwilling.
Well, they regret it.
Why did they fall for that bloody Punishment in the first place?
Regret hung thick in the room. They had no tears but wished to cry.
"That being said," Winhest continued. "I guess you could say I was very impressed with them... But you... heh."
Don’t think he will have patience for them like before.
"Take a hard look around. Only 101 of you are here. The class was originally 153. Four died, and 6 were exempt from punishment... The rest of the 42 are still out on punishment."
"Take a hard look around, because in a week or so, some of you will still join the rest out on punishment... But what’s it to me?"
His words were like daggers, each one striking deeper than the last.
A cruel smirk played on his lips as Winhest shrugged innocently. "Whether you end up at the bottom or the top, has nothing to do with me. If anything, it frees up my time rather than coming here to teach Garbage like you".
The insults and worthlessness of their existences, stayed in the air like smoke.
Leaning forward slightly, his voice dropped ominously. "Numbers mean nothing when faced with true intelligence and power. So I’ll say this here and now... that only those 6, deserve my undivided attention."
Of course, Winhest had his open understanding of the words: undivided attention.

’I see.’
Levon’s expression turned subtle, as did Hendrix, Yimu and many others. They were already so far behind after spending one month away. And now, you don’t want to focus on teaching them seriously anymore?

The 10 stacks of toothpicks in Rita’s hand cracked loudly.
"My, my, my... what an angry bunch of birds." Winhest raised his head, unfazed by the murderous aura coming his way.
"Sir Winhest," someone couldn’t hold it in anymore. "Have you ever heard of the saying that too much arrogance can be one’s downfall?"
Pfft~
Winhest laughed wickedly. "Arrogance and inevitability... Sometimes they’re the same."
Since he has said what he said, he had certainty that a majority of them here would be as interesting and more potentially endowed than the 6 who escaped the first punishment. This was Inevitability—It was inevitable that Victorio’s group would plunge higher and higher than the majority.
Are you questioning that?
"My dear, dear, sweet forgotten students...Arrogance is just certainty dressed in style. What I say will be, and that’s that... And if you don’t like it?"
Winhest paused, slowly folding his hands against his chest. "Too bad. My decision is made."
Of course, if they prove him wrong, he would also be more than happy to take them into his special group.
But why must he tell them? If they can’t figure out themselves, what does that have to do with him again?
(Silence)
No one said a word, but their fury was evident.
Some people were truly tempted to go down there and smack Winhest to death. But just when they were about to jump out from their seat, Winhest’s next words left them sulking.
"Oh my, look at the time. We’ve already used 3 minutes of our maximum Class time."
"_"
"Now then, this is how it’s going to be." Winhest continued without missing a beat.
"While my genius 6 will have 20-minute classes every 2 days... You’ll be having classes every 3 days."
"But rather than 10 minutes, classes will be held for 7. Isn’t that great?"
"_"
"Of course, there will be times when I’ll hold longer lectures.... But you already know that it’s rare... So don’t bank on that!"
’Wasn’t going to,’ The students retorted inwardly.
"This is great, isn’t it?" Winhest chuckled amusingly, "I’m so happy you all understand me well. Now, Pop Quiz!"

Using his shard, Papers materialized out of thin air, multiplying at incredulous speeds.
TWO papers flew towards each person: one paper laid flat on the table, and another rolled and molded oneself into a paper-pencil.
"No need to look deeper. It has no graphite or ink. Write as you usually would, and it will imprint everything."
Winhest’s smile was cold, with a predatory glint beaming in them.
"From what I’ve been told, your Night Drills have been quite fun... So fun, that some of you eliminated tens of Ghouls all on your own. That’s great! Papa is so, so, so proud of you."
Everyone rolled their eyes heavenwards. Sarcastic, are we?
You’re proud of them, yet you’re not willing to teach them with all your might. Wasn’t it you who said earlier that you only care about your beloved 6?
Winhest was amused. "Pop Quiz—I want detailed anatomical exteriors and interiors of any 10 types of Level 1 Ghouls you’ve faced. I want strengths lined up, and weaknesses."
Then, Winhest paused, his aura changing oppressively.
"My dear sweet forgotten students, here’s where it gets fun."
Fun? A surge of panic alerted everyone. Levon didn’t even know when his muscles had clenched.
Fufufufu~
Winhest’s dark laughter made everyone’s skin crawl.
"My dear darling, forgotten students. If you don’t get a mark above 80%... You’ll receive a bonus prize of 5 months worth of Punishment."
Look, isn’t that fun?
