Arc 2, Chapter 54 — Is It Okay To Kill One’s Instructor?

.

.

It was always incredulous how fast time flew.

These days, Levon was solely focused on shard training. And finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he was able to get the Shard to take its true form, without looking wobbly.

GREAT!

A burst of excitement slapped Levon’s cheeks hard.

His shard was also a sword— a Katana.

However, after accomplishing this much, he soon found out that shard form was the least of his worries.

"Brother Levon, how long can you hold it?"

"11 seconds." Not good enough.

Artilla thinned her lips, knowing she could already hold her form for an hour.

Everyone seemed to be way ahead of Levon, some being able to hold form for 7 minutes, and others 30 minutes.

"Brother Levon, why don’t we train a little more?"

Levon always felt that Artilla’s efforts were cute. He ruffled her hair gently with his answer: "Sure."

Why not?

A little more training won’t hurt.

Despite the sneers and scoffing around him, Levon stepped out with Artilla, heading towards another training space.

They also hoped to look for Shugo too.

Shugo...

"Have you noticed anything odd about him recently?"

Artilla nodded vigorously," He seems more absent minded, like he has something on his mind..." something he’s probably not ready to tell them.

"Yeah..." Levon thought so too, though he often spotted Shugo staring at his palm thoughtfully.

Levon pushed a strand of black hair dangling on his forehead, thinking more on Shugo’s strangeness.

Fortunately, whatever plagued their friend, it didn’t seem to affect his training. Shugo could already hold Shard stability for 40 minutes.

"Brother Levon, don’t be discouraged, we have to keep practicing. Don’t forget that the deadline for Form Stability is coming up soon."

If Levon can’t hold his form for a minimum of 15 minutes, who knows what they’ll do to him?

As for class structure...

Would you believe that except for that first day, their class was typically only 10 minutes long a day. freeweɓnovel.cøm

The class starts at 11:50 AM and ends at 12 noon.

That’s it. They weren’t joking.

Never before have they seen such a short class in their lifetime.

In an entire day, only 10 minutes of classwork?

Many here were thugs and gangsters who used to skip classes in the past. But who knew that they would meet such a diabolical teacher who would make them crave for more classes instead?

’Dammit Winhest, what the hell are they supposed to do with a 10 minute class? Do you know you hold the knowledge and techniques they need to get stronger?’

If eyes could kill, Winhest would have long been dead.

Even with a 10 minute class schedule, this guy was still cruel.

Winhest would come in, and many times, only say a few words before leaving 2~6 minutes before class was over.

On average, he only came for 4 minutes and left. Of course, there were times he would come in for a few seconds, say a single word and then vanish.

And that was it... That was their class for the day.

Do you know how painful it felt?

No one dares to come late to his class because of his weirdness.

Who knows if when you came 50 seconds late, he had already given his lecture?

Maybe he has said just a single word and vanished before you came.

Know that even if someone tries to explain it to you, their interpretation might not necessarily be correct.

It was best to hear it from the horse’s mouth and understand it however you deem fit.

Then there are times when Winhest would appear for class 1 minute before the 10-minute mark was over. He would say absolutely nothing... laugh at them before dashing out without a care in the world.

There were also times that he stayed the full 10 minutes, but that was rare.

How many people wished to chew Winhest alive? The answer was EVERYONE... Levon, Victorio, Hendrix, you name it.

Everyone wanted a piece of this guy.

—And as he said from the start, he didn’t care enough to check their progress, or bother with whether they were doing things the right way or not?

What’s it to him if you interpret his teachings rightfully or wrongly?

In his words, when the deadline officially comes, won’t he still have to check it at that time?

So why should he do double checks, resulting in double his work?

This guy...

Everyone was secretly choked by his logic, but couldn’t argue.

After all, it was indeed double the work.

Like so, the group of Bloodren 10s spent their time mostly training on their own to make progress.

But even though a majority had long surpassed the minimum requirements, they still didn’t slack off or take things easy.

Their goals were to fight people like Roud, Winhest, and everyone far more powerful.

So how could they be content with this little victory?

In a battle that goes on for hours and maybe days, what good will holding their form for a measly 15 minutes or less do?

Weak.

They were disgusted with themselves, training like the world was about to end.

.

.

It was another brand new day.

Alas...

Levon rose to his feet at the crack of dawn like clockwork.

He freshened up, and began the now 1 hour 15 minute journey to the Cafeteria, which wasn’t that far off from the building they had classes in... though it would still take a little under an hour of walking from the cafeteria to the classroom.

What a life.

Soon, it was class time.

Everyone thought that today’s lecture was going to be their standard everyday shenanigans.

But Winhest stepped in with a different aura than usual, it made their eyebrows jerk unnaturally.

’What was this guy up to now?’

Levon frowned.

In the dimly lit classroom, everyone’s eyes fixed on Winhest’s imposing figure.

Moving his hands, Winhest created his rotating giant cube floating mid-air above his head.

Well, since that initial day, it’s been a while since they saw his paper abilities in action.

Then, Winhest began:

"From today, no more Shard Stability. You’ll now be focusing on—"

The words [D.O.T] appeared on the paper cube.

"D.O.T — Defensive & Offensive Tactics."
