From Runaway Bride to Global Queen-Chapter 176 - Reconciliation
Chapter 176 -176 Reconciliation
Before Qiao Yi had time to react, she was pulled up to the second floor and pushed into a room.
Qiao Yi quickly grabbed Lu Yanchuan’s hand and tried to pull him out.
“What are you doing here after being hit? Go to the hospital now!”
Lu Yanchuan, unmovable as a mountain, resisted no matter how hard Qiao Yi tried to tug at him.
After wasting a good deal of effort, not only could she not drag Lu Yanchuan out of the room, but she also left herself panting for breath.
“Lu Yanchuan! Did you hear me? I told you to go to the hospital with me!”
Qiao Yi didn’t know what had gotten into Lu Yanchuan. She turned and shouted at him, only to look up and see his face extremely red, his gaze also carrying a hint of confusion.

“Hey, I said… Ah! What are you doing!”
Qiao Yi walked over and slapped Lu Yanchuan’s face, but the next moment, she was swept off her feet as Lu Yanchuan carried her across to the inner bedroom with large strides.
“Lu Yanchuan, are you playing a trick on me? Stop messing around, there are still so many guests outside!”
Lu Yanchuan’s movements gave no sense of security, and Qiao Yi’s slight struggle was completely unable to stop Lu Yanchuan’s actions, and in a few moments, he had taken care of Qiao Yi neatly.
Qiao Yi was shocked and angry, worried about whether his body had been hurt and somewhat concerned about her own current situation.
“I’m so hot…”
Those three hoarse and deep words were enough to completely overwhelm Qiao Yi.
Qiao Yi had no idea when the two of them became entangled; she only knew Lu Yanchuan, who had been affected, was truly insufferable!
Just on the other side of the wall, Qiao Xin was almost gritting her teeth in frustration.
The good things she had gone to so much trouble to get had all gone to Qiao Yi!
Qiao Xin wished she could rush in now, drag Qiao Yi out, and replace herself with Lu Yanchuan, but doing so would only reveal that it was she who had done something to Lu Yanchuan!
She had finally found out that Lu Yanchuan and Qiao Yi had been having a cold war recently and had finally seen a chance to replace Qiao Yi, but it was ruined by Lu Yanchuan’s hands!
“Xinxin, why are you here? Have you seen where your sister went?”
Zhao Wenjing’s voice came from the other end of the hallway. Qiao Xin hurriedly sorted out her expression and greeted her with a smile.
“I don’t know, I didn’t see her either!”
Zhao Wenjing muttered something and walked away, but before leaving, Qiao Xin looked reluctantly back at the room one more time, and finally followed Zhao Wenjing to leave the place.
Fortunately, the banquet was in its final stages, and even without Qiao Yi’s appearance, Mr. and Mrs. Qiao had managed to wrap up smoothly.
Qiao Benqing had not been able to get in touch with Qiao Yi until all the guests had left, at which point he received a message from Lu Yanchuan, saying Qiao Yi wasn’t feeling well and he took her home first.
“This kid really, how can she not say a word about feeling unwell and just leave like that!”
“The child was probably worried about upsetting you, what are you complaining about!”
Qiao Xin stood by and listened to Mr. and Mrs. Qiao’s words; even though she knew what had happened, she couldn’t say a word, her face turning purple with frustration.
“Xinxin, what’s wrong with you, why do you look so pale? Are you not feeling well either?”
Zhao Wenjing turned her head and saw Qiao Xin clenching her teeth in anger, she quickly asked, only to be brushed off with an excuse by Qiao Xin.
Xinxin, who was “taken away,” is actually being taken away now, straight back to her hometown kind of taken away.
“Lu Yanchuan… Are you even human…”
Qiao Yi’s voice was hoarse, lying on the bed unable to even lift a finger, listlessly staring at the ceiling as if she’d been run over by a car.
There’s nothing she could do; she didn’t want to be this vulnerable, but the enemy was just too strong, and she had no power to fight back!
Qiao Yi didn’t want to move, but she didn’t want to sleep in the hotel all night either. Lu Yanchuan thought of a good solution, wrapping Qiao Yi in a blanket and carrying her off, blanket and all.
Over the course of the night, something seemed to have slowly changed.
For instance, the morning kiss that Lu Yanchuan planted on Qiao Yi’s forehead as a greeting.
And then there was the warm milk brought to the bedside before sleep at night.
The two who were in a cold war inexplicably reconciled, even becoming closer than before.
Although neither had spoken any further-reaching words, the growing tacit understanding between them was palpable, little by little.
“So, you two made up just like that? No reason? No explanation?”
Feng Siyu really couldn’t wrap his head around these two, living life as if they’re playing house!
Just two days ago she was as mad as a hatter, and now out shopping, they’ve already made up, sweetly doling out gifts to each other!
“Where’s your pride? Weren’t you going to confront him about why you were in a cold war? Where’s your dignity?”
Feng Siyu, vexed and disappointed, felt like the sugary bombardment of capitalism had completely wiped Qiao Yi’s memory of the humiliation she’d suffered before.
“It was him who caved in first. Life must go on, and since I’ve already cooled off, why stubbornly insist on holding a grudge?”
Qiao Yi had a clear understanding, or perhaps it was at that banquet when Lu Yanchuan pulled her away and pushed her into the room, she had seen right through Lu Yanchuan’s little schemes.
Lu Yanchuan approached her in good form, but it wasn’t until they were in the room that he revved up, which proves that he was aware that he had been drugged while he was still sober, or rather, he had deliberately indulged this drugging behavior.
After knowing he was drugged, he didn’t go to the hospital, instead he came looking for her; among spouses, this is already a form of concession.
The adult world doesn’t always need overt apologies and forgiveness, sometimes an action alone can reflect your remorse.
And the other party’s response is a sign of letting bygones be bygones.
Feng Siyu, who also had a significant other, thought it through after turning it over in his mind.
But although he understood, it was as if he had flicked on some significant switch, squeezing with a sleazy smile into Qiao Yi’s chair, hugging her arm and gossiping excitedly.
“How does your Third Young Master treat you?”
The question was suggestive, and while both knew exactly what was meant, the one asking kept a straight face, even looking slightly menacing, whereas the one being asked turned beet red, struggling to break free from Feng Siyu’s embrace.
“In broad daylight, what are you talking about!”
“What am I saying? I’m just asking if your Third Young Master takes care of you, if he’s considerate. Where is your mind going? Confess, and it’ll be easier on you!”
Qiao Yi was completely overridden by Feng Siyu, who shook her by the shoulders until, before leaving this world, she pressed down on Feng Siyu’s relentless hand.
With flushed cheeks, Qiao Yi bowed her head and swayed left and right, causing Feng Siyu almost to lose patience before she managed to squeak out a sentence.
“Third Young Master, he treats me pretty well…”
