Extra's Perfect Ending-Chapter 209: Kill
Egul is irritated by The Rotor’s attitude, but he admits that the antidotes are effective. He throws the doctor to the floor.
"You’re lucky this thing works"
"It’s not luck... Also, where’s my payment?"
The doctor extends his hand out expecting gold in payment.
"I give it to the village chief"
"Aww man. I don’t want to talk to that greedy old man, could you get it for me?"
"Go get it yourself."
"Fine" The doctor puffs up his cheeks. Settling for asking for the money himself. "Oh right, do you perhaps know something about a table of some sort?"
"Tablet?"
"Yep, the one about this size" The doctor moved his hand to recreate the squarish tablet. "It has a blue glow on it and it has a very weird text that you could strangely understand."
"....." Egul squeezed his eyes looking at the man "That is an oddly specific item."
"You know about it?"
"I don’t know about it"
Egul tries to deny it, but his lie isn’t convincing. The fact that he paused suggests that he knew something about it. The doctor stares Egul down, but the tall man refuses to talk on this single topic. If he spoke, the man would undoubtedly ask Egul to take him there.
"You wouldn’t lie, right? O honor warrior? Think of it as a payment"
"Tch" Egul clearly displeased quickly said, "I chance upon it on the Cave near the top of the Carmel mountain range. The thing is as close to what you describe, a tablet iht a weird symbol on it that you could read."
"Wonderful!... Could I ask..."
"No, I don’t like dealing with you."
Egul expresses his displeasure. His hands cross together making him more immovable. This guess was right and the guy did pester him about it.
"Couldn’t you do for me... I just saved your arm you know?"
"You want info and already give you info, now scram."
".... Fine" Now it’s the doctor’s turn to be dissatisfied. "Then I’ll just have to see it for myself" The doctor excused himself and walked outside. This makes Egul question the doctor since this is in the middle of the night.
Egul is curious and follows the doctor outside. There he saw that the doctor really intended to leave this place right when he heard about the tablet. Egul is confused now because the man acts like the tablet is very important but as far as Egul knows it’s just a weird text about how to climb a mountain.
Very useful for adventurers, but useless for a doctor... possibly not a wandering doctor. But he could still explain what was written on the tablet aloud. However, the doctor appears to be more interested in the tablet than the text.
However, Egul couldn’t care much about that since it’s properly useless to him either way.
When Egul notices Hilda approaching the village entrance, he waves her in with his recently healed right hand. Trying to imply that he’s fine now. Hilda looks at the doctor as he leaves the village.
Right at that moment, Egul could feel killing intent. Hilda’s hand slips into the cloth and produces a knife. She quickly delivers it to the doctor’s neck. Egul tries to jump to intercept Hilda’s knife.
Even though he did not like the doctor, he was still the man who healed his arm. He had no idea why Hilda attacked the man, but he was confident they could have talked it out. Even for Egul, the distance is too great to cover.
His body flew at breakneck speed, but it was insufficient to prevent Hilda’s blade from jamming itself into the doctor’s throat. Blood splashed out before the doctor’s body collapsed on the snow-covered floor.
Boom!
gul arrived after the deed was completed. Leon is also speechless after witnessing Hilda murder random people, perhaps she was more bloodthirsty than he realized. Perhaps she was a genuine heretic after all.
"Why the hell did you do that?"
Egul questions Hilda, looking at her face. Expecting her to be at least scared of him but all he saw was hate in her eyes.
"That man is the Northern mass murderer"
"What?..." Egul was silent for a bit. There has to be something he’s missing here. "From twenty years ago?"
"Yep, his face is burned into my brain. I killed the right person."
Hilda said with a visceral hatred in her voice. If Theia was awake she would have been a bit scared. Leon back off a bit, not waiting to take whatever rage she’s producing. Only Egul is good enough to stand right in front of her.
"That doesn’t sound right, if he was a murderer then, wouldn’t he be harder to kill? From what I heard that guy razed 4 villages to the ground before he disappeared."

Egul wasn’t there when this happened because it was not in the ForstFang territories. It happened on the western edge of the northern land. Where mystic forces are sparse, The tribe chief is only 3rd mystic circle.
All major tribes arrive too late and only see the destruction of the villages.
There are few survivors, but almost all of them are traumatized by the event. They lost their family, and the village where they had spent their entire lives was littered with blood. It was a gruesome sight, something he would never do to his enemy.
Only a few people survived, and even fewer knew what the murderer looked like. Because the majority of those who survived fled the village or hid until the murderer had left. Finally, he’d never seen Hilda before.
20 years ago, he was an upcoming hunter of the Frostfang tribe. A part of an elite few kids that got to hunt alongside the adults. In that year he was called to the scene along with the adult to catch the murderer.
They arrive too late, rescuing only a few people.
To this day he still remembers the look on the survivor’s face. Filled to the brim with hopelessness, even some so shocked that they couldn’t cry.
