Reeva is in an akward situation. Right now he was sitting inside the mobile prison getting escorted by the knight’s order like before, however, one big difference is that there 2 more people than before.

With Hilda and Leon gone, now he’s stuck with Onia. Truthfully he thought he would be alone in here after the knight order and the priest can’t find Hilda.

"Why are you still here? I thought you had done your job."

Onia’s whole purpose here is to distract the priest, so the fact that she’s here means he must have been accused of something.

"...." Onia looked at Reeva "Thanks to someone I have been suspected as a collaborator of the prison break"

"What do you mean? I didn’t do anything"

"Still playing dumb, heh? If not you who brainwash Theia then who is it?"

"I didn’t brainwash no one."

"Screw you"

Onia’s eyebrows knit together, clearly, she wasn’t going to believe Reeva. Why would her sister do something so bizarre, she is not the kind of person to go out of her way and put herself in danger.

Even for her family, so why the hell would she do it for a stranger who has been together for like 2 months? It doesn’t make sense unless Theia has been brainwashed by them.

Reeva stays silent after hearing Onia’s words, he knows that it’s futile to convince her otherwise.

The priest has already questioned both of them and the prince’s party. Reeva wasn’t privy to the details but considering their mood the potion must not be in their hands. Reeva didn’t know what happened so his guess was as good as anybody’s.

With no potion and Theia being gone. The mood of the protagonist’s party plummets. The only person that looks normal is Bramon who isn’t really invested in this journey. From what he remembers Bramon is an avid sun god believer, so Reeva could guess that deep down he was glad that Theia got away.

Because if they ever get caught by the priest again, there would be no price to protect them like this time. Then a heretic would get the punishment they deserve.

Now, Bramon just needs Reeva to get punished. That’d be impossible since Reeva is an apostle now, However, they didn’t know that.

Plutus has been really good at keeping his word. Next time Reeva meets with the sun god, maybe he could recommend that the guy get some blessing.

But for now, Reeva could only stuck in this miserable cell until they reached the capital. After experiencing such a huge incident there is no way that they would open this prison until they reach the capital.

------------

Riding on the carriage behind the mobile prison was Plutus, the priest in his position always gets this kind of treatment. Not only as a perk and comfort but for prestige, it gives any young aspiring priest or believing something to aim for.

Imagine yourself riding in an exclusive carriage surrounded by knights and other priests. Most would want to be in such a high position. And unlike a noble which looks unreachable for a normal person being a priest is much more doable.

However, what they don’t know is that their chance is as low as being a noble. Not only do you need faith, but you also need to have enough of it to create a mystic circle. Most people didn’t have such resolve toward the church.

Knock Knock Knock

"Can I enter?"

The knock on the carriage door snaps Plutus out of his thinking. Outside was the knight leader, asking for his permission to get in.

"Please"

After hearing this, the knight commander jumps from her horse onto the carriage door, opens it, and enters. The carriage exudes luxury, with a red leather seat and expensive wood used in its construction.

"About yesterday, I’m sorry for my erupt action"

"No worries, what about your injuries?"

"Mostly healed"

Yesterday, after learning the shocking truth about Reeva. The knight lost control and smashed her bare hand into the ground, splashing snow and dirt everywhere. Her punch nearly uprooted some nearby trees. Then she storms off to calm down.

Naturally, punching the ground so hard with no mystic power would hurt you, even with the 5th circle body.

"Is it true?"

"I’ve confirmed it myself, that guy is a fully-fledged apostle"

"Then why is he still in the prison?"

"It’s his personal request, something about how the other priest wouldn’t take it lightly and kill him."

"...." Lena wanted to refute such a claim since putting an apostle of the sun church inside a prison sounds like heresy but she could see why Reeva did such a thing. Her initial reaction was that serious, if the group of priests found out then it, not going to end well.

"So he will be in there until we reach the capital?"

"Unfortunately, Yes," Reeva said, not liking this setup either.

"I’ve already sent out an order like you suggest. We will have to prevent the heretic from crossing to Guragua"

"Is the situation there that bad?"

"Guragua... is not looking so good anymore. Our force has been pushed out of the region and the church there is not responsive. Either due to being busy or dead. However this information might be outdated, so we need to consider that too."

"How many days would it take for the bloodhound to be on their tail?"

"The order should be arriving by sundown and they would be on the hunt the moment they receive the order."

The Bloodhound Order was a subset of the Royal Knight Order that specialized in tracking down and eliminating or capturing powerful individuals. They are made up of four mystic users who have trained in the art of combat or pursuit. And one special divination priest to guide them as they pursue their target.

This elite quad could only be called on by people in high positions or in an emergency. Few even know such a squad exists.
