Betrayed by Fiance, Embraced by Hidden Tycoon-Chapter 259: Threaten
Chapter 259: Threaten
No words can express Harvey Jones’s current feelings. He is furious after learning that his grandpa has removed him from his position as CEO of J Group.
’How could this happen to me?! Why did Grandpa do that? I wasn’t even accused, just labeled a suspect,’ Harvey vented his frustration.
He had already told Grandpa that he would only receive his first investigation two days later. Still, Grandpa refused to hear his explanation and promptly dismissed him from the company.
"Big bro, I’m sorry about Grandpa and Dad’s decision. Don’t be sad. If the accusations against the bribery case are false, you’ll get your position back—"
Harvey’s fists clenched tightly. He held his anger upon hearing Sawyer’s words. However, his blood boiled with rage as he saw his sneer.
’Damn it! This bastard is the one who got me fired. This must be a part of his plan to take over the company, right?’
Unable to contain his anger any longer, Harvey stood up. In a loud voice, he shouted, "Stop right there, Sawyer Jones!"
With vast strides, he walked to block Sawyer from leaving the room. Their gazes locked. He didn’t say anything immediately, but his hand slowly rose to straighten the collar of his shirt. Seeing Sawyer’s shocked and annoyed expression made him happy.
A cold smile played on Harvey’s lips as he noticed the annoyed look in his brother’s eyes. Lightly patting his cheek, he said icily, "Is this what you want, you shameless brat!? You want to take the company from me, so you used Grandpa and Father to corner me and finally got me fired! Is that it, huh?"
As Sawyer opened his mouth, he pressed his index finger against his lips, silencing him. "I’m your big brother, and you need to listen to me until I finish speaking. Don’t make me use force on you again, you little brat!"
A joyful smile graced his lips as he witnessed the lightning anger flash in Sawyer’s eyes. He managed to provoke this little brat.
"You were brought to this world by your whore mother after she seduced my father. Now you have the audacity to take my father’s company from me, too?" Harvey continued to express his anger as he placed his hand on Sawyer’s shoulder. "I won’t forget and forgive what you did to me. You will feel my revenge; remember that well!"
"Why are you blaming me? You’re digging your own grave, big bro. Don’t shift the blame to others. That is unwise and immature," Sawyer said calmly, despite previous anger flashing in his eyes. And his calm demeanor provoked Harvey’s wrath.
Harvey’s emotions grew increasingly intense as he listened to Sawyer’s words. He wanted to punch his face but feared that their father and grandparents would become even angrier with him.
Gritting his teeth, he said coldly, "Because you piss me off! Ah, keep an eye on your little wife, little brother..." Harvey sneered before walking out. He didn’t have time to scold his idiotic brother. He needed to clear the news out there.
...
Sawyer smiled as he watched Harvey’s back vanish from view, nonchalantly straightening his shirt collar.
"You think your life will be peaceful after threatening Abby and me? You couldn’t be more wrong, Harvey Jones!" Sawyer muttered to himself as he walked toward the living room.
Sawyer had no reason to stay in this house any longer. He needed to go home and make a plan to ensure that Harvey’s life would be a nightmare.
When Sawyer entered the living room, he no longer saw Harvey and Angela, which relieved him. He quickly excused himself and declined his mother’s request to stay the night.

"I’m sorry, Abby..." was the first thing Abigail heard from Sawyer after they drove away from his parents’ house.
Abigail felt his warm hand holding hers and turned to see him.
"Why are you saying those words?" she asked, confused.
Sawyer didn’t respond immediately; instead, he pulled Abigail onto his lap and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind.
Hugging her and inhaling her unique scent brought Sawyer a sense of calm.
Earlier, Sawyer had felt anxious after hearing Harvey’s threat; he just wanted to see his wife, fearing that Harvey might do something harmful to her. With his wife in his arms, his fear had instantly vanished. He would protect her. No one would be able to hurt her.
After a while in Sawyer’s arms, Abigail began to worry. She turned to glance at him over her shoulder.
"Sawyer, what happened? Are you okay?"
Lifting his head to meet her gaze, he smiled softly at her before responding with affection, "Hmm, I’m fine. I just wanted to hug my little wife."
Abigail chuckled when she heard his response. "I know something’s bothering you, Sawyer. And why did you apologize to me?" She moved to sit beside him.
Sawyer took her hands and gazed into her eyes. He said, "For what my brother did..."
Hearing his words, Abigail’s heart tightened. Although she was shocked when Harvey called her that, she wasn’t offended because she had already prepared to face someone like Harvey Jones.
"Sawyer, I already forgot about it. We don’t have to talk about it anymore," Abigail responded honestly. "Besides, he already apologized to me. Even though I know what he said didn’t come from his heart, it’s fine. I won’t bother with him."
"Thank you, Abby..." Sawyer smiled, relieved.
...
Not long after,
Vincent’s anxious voice came through the corner speaker. "Boss, I apologize for the interruption, but there’s something I need to report."
Still holding Abigail in his embrace, Sawyer frowned at the barrier separating them from Vincent in the front row.
"Speak!" Sawyer commanded.
"Boss, two cars are following us." ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
Sawyer quickly turned to check. Likewise, Abigail sat up straight and followed Sawyer’s lead to look behind. They noticed two black SUVs following their car at a safe distance.
After watching for a while, Sawyer pressed the separator button to speak to Vincent. "Call backup and Ethan to distract them," he instructed calmly.
"Yes, boss."
Feeling his wife tense beside him, Sawyer pulled her closer. "There’s no need to worry about them. They won’t hurt us," he said with a smile, gazing at her. However, in his heart, he cursed his brother. He could see that the car was Harvey’s.
