Beauty in the beast world-Chapter 316: The discord

"Mother!" Screamed a small child as he got yanked from his mother’s safe embrace. Anyone could see that he had only recently taken his Beastman form with his inexperienced walking on two legs paired with no wings to support. He was an innocent cub clueless of his current predicament. He knew nothing. But the crowd was different. They were grown beastmen, they knew better. Realized that it was cruel to treat cubs and females so brutally, but did nothing to stop it.

For they were afraid of the consequences that they would come to face if they did something now. The entirety of Elder Edgar’s kin were dragged along the tribe by their king’s elite guards. Personally trained under Lord Nathan to be worthy of guarding the king. The latter was disbanded quite unceremoniously once Alice declared them traitors together with their commander. They had no time to fight against the new power and were quickly locked up in the dungeons.

It seemed like they took it the hard way. As soon as the King gained consciousness and learned of Alice’s despicable acts, he promptly dispatched his guards to capture her as well as her entire family. With their king’s impulsive nature and well-known anger, there would not be any trial for this family. No mercy would be provided. And no matter who tried to stop it, they would be dealt with.

Yet despite their fear, some male beastmen protested, "You cannot treat Females like this!"

"Yes, no matter their crimes, it is not right to drag females and cubs like this"

"We are innocent! Alice was the one who did wrong" Said one of Alice’s relatives.

All of these shouts and murmurs came out of the crowd until one of the guards stepped forward, "Then where is Alice? You know she did wrong and yet you are shielding her from us"

"We are doing nothing of that sort!" Screamed a female from Alice’s family, "We don’t know where that bitch is!" It was frustrating getting burned for the sin they had not committed.

One of Alice’s sisters agreed with the former, "That stupid wench and her stupid revenge! My brother died ages ago but that bitch refuses to let it go. Now she has doomed our entire family"

"Please let us go!" The screams grew louder, "The king cannot do this, it is not right!"

"Stop shouting, female!" the guard snapped back, "We are trying our best to hold back, don’t test us" he anger spiked exponentially as he continued, "Do you know what we and our commander went through because of your sister!? You should be thankful that we are only seeking justice and not revenge"

The sister groaned in distress, "Do you really think Alice would care if something happens to us!? You have to understand! That bitch does not consider us as her family. In her head, she and Noel sired by her father are the only ones that matter. We are nothing to her!"

The guard furrowed his brows, "Look female, we are only trying to do what was ordered so stop saying unnecessary things..."

"I will mate with you" that sudden notion from the said female made the guard freeze and the crowd went still in silence. The former took a step forward before lifting her chin up, "Right now, I will take you to my furs. No need of dueling my mates"

"Really?" the guard questioned eagerly which made one of the other guard hit his head.

"Are you crazy?"

"I’ll take you as well" said the female once again gaining everyone’s attention as well as the second guard’. Then she glanced the crowd, "I will be going into my heat very soon, save me from going to the dungeons and I will mate with you here....now" frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

The crowd went frenzy. The guards were shaken and glanced at each other with uncertainty. Their camaraderie gone, now they looked at one another as a competition and tried to gauge everyone’ strengths and weaknesses. This kind of opportunity were rare as well as precious. A female was agreeing to mate and that too without having to duel all of her mates. She was even giving an opportunity to breed her, what more could a male ask? Many beastmen in the tribe had come to terms that they would perish without a companion but now? Now they had a chance to experience the mate bond, they had the prospect of holding a female’s warm and soft body. Their life would not turn out to be a vain one.

While all this was going on, a beastman from the crowd scanned around his surroundings before his eyes landed on the familiar figure hidden behind a boulder. His face light up in joy, ’Lady Alice’ he whispered and in return received a nod from her.

As soon as he saw that, he gave a nod of his own and turned to the crowd. With a speed, he lunged towards the guards and started to fight them.

Seemingly encouraged by his actions, the crowd too followed suite fighting one another. Mated beasts acted fast by taking their mates and cubs away from the scene. They retreated to thier homes and cave not interested in getting caught up in the struggle.

Roars and Sceeches travelled across the tribe. The rules and restrictions that kept the tribe in place seemed to vanish. This was why there were strict constraints surrounding the mating rights. A male could court a female only during the mating banqutes and had to seek permission from her mates. Then he could duel if the female fancied him but all of this was turned upside down by a single female.

Alice’s sister had no intention of starting a discord in her tribe. But if it meant she could save herself and her loved ones from ending up in dungeon, she would do this hundred times and more. And she vowed to herself, as soon as this situation comes to end, she will find her bitch of a sister and kill her. Alice was going to die by her hands by any means.

However, what she failed to realize was that her action indirectly helped Alice. Chaos and disorder big enough to lure Kyrell away from Lyra’s side was what Alice wanted and she got it. The remainder of guards, unable in subduing the situation scrambled inside the castle to mostly inform Kyrell about this.

The moment he stepped outside, Alice would make sure to enter the castle, go into Kyrell’s chambers and end his beloved.
